Please note:

 • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
 • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
 • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
 • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
 • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
 • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!
That's happened/happening???
Yeah. Its been happening since they introduced dlc codes in game cases.
That's a pretty strong accusation with no proof.
Look at the last, or page before last, and you'll see people asking for $20 for a dlc to a game that you could spend $5 more and get the game too.
Settle down now. Those traders in the XB code thread who post dozens of dlc codes came across all of that stuff legitly. It's not like they're a store employee and ganked the codes.
Clearly. That'd never happen.

I always try to look on the bright side of things. So here is the bright side of today's sales and well...all the sales of the past week.

At least those games are out of the way. Especially for todays! Four games in one day!? Fingers crossed for something good tomorrow!

As soon as DR3, Dragon Age, GTAV, WWE2k15 or Ryse, go on sale. Purchased...as long as it's not a ridiculously invalid discount. Like...59.99 marked down to $55 👯🙉🙊

Got tired of waiting for Fall of Cybertron to go on cheeper sale, so bought that while it's still discounted...only thing bought so far in this "sale"...

With everyone having different requests like $1-$5 games, 80% off, dlc discounted, new games on sale, etc.....the majority in here ain't gonna be pleased. It mean shit, MS is showing their priorities in discounting four or five items today vs. two for the 360.

Not everyone is gonna be happy. Just know that MS is out to make top dolla on their end and don't give a fuck about the consumer. Whatever sells more, is the direction they're going. And it looks like its geared more toward the xbone.....

Very true.

Having said that, I'm oddly optimistic about the Xbox One Weekly's that'll be revealed come Monday afternoon. I feel like Monday's Weekly's will be better than this week's titles....that Microsoft is building toward something....

I think we'll see some significant AAA games on sale, though - as usual - not with the discount we'd like. I think we see Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2 hit 33% off. Those are Microsoft-published games; seems like a given to me. The timing also feels right for Dead Rising 3: Apocalypse Edition and Ryse: Son of Rome - Legendary Edition (again); will they be half off?

I wonder if we'll see the 2K games on sale (NBA, WWE). We know Activision will have CoD:AW+Destiny up at $90; it'd be nice if we didn't have to get them bundled, though. Maybe they'll do what Ubisoft did with Assassin's Creed: Unity and put 'em at 17% off individually. (But at 17% off...why bother.)

Took the XB1 plunge earlier this evening, that $50 gift card thrown in was the tipping point.  Unfortunately, Best Buy required that the gift card be shipped rather than just picked up at the store.  And because the site added the gift card as a separate listing in the cart, it wouldn't let me apply a Rewards certificate against it.

Just going to let the system download stuff tonight.  Titanfall / pass (guess I don't need to bite on the 360 version), Games with Gold, Pinball FX 2 tables from cross buy, about 35 GB to get (not counting updates).  Might have to nab the Assassin's Creed 4 pass on 360 since the cross buy is still active.

Here's the 14 day XBL Gold trial that came with the system, I don't need it - NJG9P-VGF9J-9R2Y3-DX4D4-F6XV4 someone used it

Nice, Bloomy. Enjoy the lengthy downloads, and add me if you'd like to party up in Titanfall... I pop on from time to time.

Here's the 14 day XBL Gold trial that came with the system, I don't need it - NJG9P-VGF9J-9R2Y3-DX4D4-F6XV4 someone used it
Welcome to the club, Bloomy. Between all the free-to-play games, cross buy stuff like Minecraft and Pinball FX2, Games with Gold games, EA Access (already 7 games), the countdown sales now and codes on websites like G2A and Gamedealdaily you should be able to work up a lovely collection in a short time and not much money. I can't believe I'm already around 50 different games after like a month...

I've seen some people say this but all the dates have expired. Does anyone have a link or something saying that the cross buy is still active? I've checked and can't find anything. Also if I buy the season pass on sale for the 360 do I have to redeem the pass on xbox one by a certain date?

People in this thread have confirmed recently it still works.

I bought it back in June or July when it was on sale and it still worked then too.

Again, not to derail the thread, but Best Buy has a 3-pack of $15 Live credit gift cards with an extra $5 card in the pack on sale for $42.99. It's not available for shipping but I was able to price match the same gift card pack at Walmart this morning. They didn't want to do it at first but they eventually caved. So, $50 worth of credit for $43 isn't a bad deal in my opinion.

On the fence about Contrast. But it just seems like something that will go down to $3 or even become a free GWG.
What gets me about Xbox Live is that the sales aren't as good as PSN. I passed on Contrast last time it was on sale on Live but I bought it when it hit $4.50 for PlayStation Plus users. That was a good price point for me. If I had to describe the game play, it's 2D mixed with 3D, but the thing that led me to buy it was the music. There was a particular jazz number that I liked. Weird, but the musical number in Bioshock Infinite was my favorite part. No spoilers, but I'm sure that anyone who has played that game knows what I'm talking about. Anyway, Contrast is pretty short but I would recommend it for $5 or less.

I bought it 2 days ago and the crossbuy worked.

Very true.

Having said that, I'm oddly optimistic about the Xbox One Weekly's that'll be revealed come Monday afternoon. I feel like Monday's Weekly's will be better than this week's titles....that Microsoft is building toward something....I think we'll see some significant AAA games on sale, though - as usual - not with the discount we'd like.
Eh, MS is in the driver's seat and I have no fuck ing clue where they're going. Obviously, they're driving more sales for the X1 than the 360 and that shows in these daily deals. And it's totally geared toward retail titles, mostly new releases too(save for a bone thrown like RBI).

Hell, countdown to 2014 deals had new arcade titles AND with huge percentages off. I remember all the PopCap games were 90% off as well as Fruit Ninja, newer arcade games like Deadlight and I Am Alive were 75% off. Even looking at a list of those deals only had a few days with one item on sale. I just think it's a wasted opportunity on their end when so much on xbl is not even being showcased when we have normal weekly deals being repeated in this holiday countdown sales. Take for instance Guac - it's been on sale before and at the same percentage price

EDIT: Don't forget, these ten dlc songs from Rock Band are set to delist on the 23rd. Has MS pulled the plug early on these like they did with Afterburner?

 • Dinosaur Jr. – Pick Me Up
 • Dinosaur Jr. – The Wagon
 • Electric Six – Dance Epidemic
 • Electric Six – Gay Bar
 • Electric Six – I Don’t Like You
 • Joan Jett & The Blackhearts – Fake Friends
 • Just Kait – U Suck
 • Lights Resolve – Dreaming of Love
 • Morningwood – Best of Me
 • Morningwood – Sugarbaby

Out of the week sale and the countdowns, I only bought Bioshock Infinite, that for 5 bucks I know it's a good price. Now I only have to wait a good sale on the season pass.

I know this might sound obscure, but I could really go for a sale on Bayonetta, lol. Has it been on sale before?
Nope.

Any word on todays sales?

Edit. I had thought all these shitty arcade games were the daily from Saturday, and not Sunday but they are all still up so I guess not

What's going on this year? I checked my purchases from last year and I bought something like 25 games for $5 and under, mostly below $4 starting Dec 16. I haven't bought anything yet but we do still have some time left.

I was tossing around trading some stuff in at BB with the stealth 50% bonus today, but there is NOTHING on the horizon that I am excited (at full price, anyway) to play when it comes out. Better to keep the stuff I have and play through it. I was going to trade AC:U, but you get the season pass free now, so I'll play through that stuff. I thought about trading GTAV (got it from the MS Store KSR glitch) because I could never get in to GTA IV, but I went and watched the IGN review and it looks likt the story kicks ass - which now makes me want to play it. Wierd to not really have anything worth trading in, but that's where I am right now. Forza 5 and Ryse get nothing, so it's better just to keep them and play them later when I run out of stuff to play (yeah, right)...

They're still there. I have them in the OP and checked them earlier this morning when doing other edits to see if they were still around.

Also the official notice says that the Dreaming of Love track is free and is required for the Rock Band 3 achievement "Live Free or Die" which requires beating all of the free downloadable tracks. A previously delisted track, "Promised Land" by Vesuvius, is also required by the achievement.

Give me something like that on X1 and we have a deal.
Given the way this sale has been going, it probably will be discounted later tonight, though the XB1 sales haven't been going live until a little after 7pm Eastern.

Thinking of picking up contrast, can anyone sell me on it or should I save my $$ for a different game?
I bought it on sale like a month ago and it's pretty good. It's like a 3D game with a 2D platformer thrown-in. When you "shift" into the shadows, it changes to a 2D game, allowing for some pretty cool mechanics. Be warned though, the controls are floaty and lighter than you'd expect, leading to me missing platforms or jumps.

Also, it seems like an easy 1000G, with collectibles thrown in (thankfully it has chapter select) and some random achievements.

That's a great deal for trials fusion. And like bloomy said, that'll most likely be the X1 sale as well. I know a few people here have been hoping for it. I got it from gamestop a couple weeks ago for $22 with the sp so this is an even better deal.

$5 sounds great for Slender, but I'm hoping it gets a PS4 release. I like playing horror games with the Gold headset. Some of the sounds from P.T. are so unnerving.

Really tempted to grab Trials Fusion + season pass for $20.

How's the community on 360? Is there a lot of user created tracks to download?

Sort of off-topic I guess. So, when Games With Gold has put Assassin's Creed 2, for the first time I played the saga and I loved that game. Fun times, 1000GS, so I went out and bought every other episode released until then: all the way up to 3. I played Assassin's Creed 1 but it felt a lot poorer than AC2, was barely even enjoyable sometimes. Brotherhood was already pretty good, but fatigue was kicking in. Revelations and 3, while I have them, don't sound too inviting. I want to play them eventually, but I'm in no hurry, and I did not play anything in one month or so since I got the Xbox One, so who knows when that happens. Even bought the Liberation HD port for 360, but again, that comes later.

For Xbox One, I managed to snag a free-ish code for Black Flag, and just got Unity for 25 bucks. Not bad at all, I say. The question is, should I play the other episodes first? I kinda want to play Unity now, even before Black Flag, but am I missing out on anything relevant to the plot? Also, gameplay-wise, will it be a big leap to go back to Black Flag (and even older games) after getting used to Unity? Kinda like how AC2 was A LOT superior gameplay-wise than AC1. I want to try out some true "next gen" Assassin's Creed action, but I don't want to end up "ruining" the older games by getting used to some features that will be hard to live without.

Only if you give a shit about Desmond's boring ass story, otherwise you can just play whatever, but Black Flag is still far superior over Unity.

Wonder if Alien Isolation for XOne will go on sale? Waiting, but may pick up Lord of the Fallen before it goes off sale.

Out of curiosity is that because Unity has so many glitches or is it more of a gameplay thing like the reason so many people were let down by 3 after playing 2?

I keep hoping for a sale on Escape Dead Island even though it's really new. Mainly because I want to play it, but I doubt it's worth 40 bucks.

Is Slender really worth $5 though?  From what I played of the demo, you're just walking around from Point A to Point B.

Seems more like an interactive movie than a video game - the type of thing that's better to watch on Youtube, Twitch, etc.

Ass Creed 2 and Black Flag are pretty much all you need to play in the series. Brotherhood is decent. Skip rev. And 3.

The "main"/"original" story is the Desmond arc, going from AC1 to AC3 (including Brotherhood and Revelations). I suggest you atleast play through Revelations to finish up Ezio's story. While I absolutely HATED Assassin's Creed 3, I played through it to finish the whole story.

AC4 felt like a spin-off pirate game, not that it was a bad thing. The story could have been better but overall, it's much superior to AC 3 in every way. I picked up Liberations as well but I haven't finished it so I don't have a full opinion. I'm waiting for a sale on Rouge because apparently that game is very short compared to the other releases.

At this point, since I don't have a Xbox One, Unity is going to be the first console Assassin's Creed that I miss :whistle2:(

I Liked Black Flag more because there was so much more shit to do with naval combat and everything with the ship. Though I'll be honest, I only played a bit of Unity and it was prior to patch, but gameplay felt relatively the same overall.

I thought the story in GTA V was way back than the one in GTA IV. It was a lot more lighthearted as well. In comparison, GTA IV was kind of depressing to me.
