Just adding my 0.02.... this Countdown Sale truly sucks.  It really does.  It's not just the usual griping.

I have loved (LOVED) the Countdown sales from the last 2 or 3 years.  I don't buy much on XBL in the course of the rest of a year, but I always buy stuff during the Countdown Sale, and I always love it.  I spend all year looking forward to the sale.

I have yet to even really consider buying anything this time.  Thought a (very) little about NHL 15 but $30 is just too much.  Put it down to $20 and I'd maybe bite.  $20 is my magical mark -- I don't care what it is, if it's over $20, it's not really a deal.  And then.... nothing else.  Everything else has resulted in a reaction of "Wow, that's just crap".

So no, this is not just a "Everyone always says every sale sucks" thing.  This is a truly bad sale, and I think at this stage it's safe to call it that.  I can't imagine enough coming up in the next few days to salvage it.  I'm incredibly disappointed.

 
Really want to play Shadows of the Damned and it says there is a digital copy. Doe it ever go on sale? I don't want to pay $20 for it when I could get a physical copy for cheaper.

 
So the xbox dash says GTAV is day 4 does this mean we will have day 3 2 and then 1 or would the dailies be over on 3-2 and have no 1?

The market is flooded with Black Flag and Unity codes for decent prices. I've been sitting on a pair of the codes myself that I can't seem to get rid of for even $25 :wall:

I say stay away from them. I bought a code for lococycle before Christmas and still have not gotten the code. I emailed them too and got no response.

Well so far i only bought

Operation Raccoon City and Tekken Tag 2

The over sale sucked but i cant complain to much

atleast i got something compared to most people here who find anything good to buy

 
I've bought a few things from GDD and never had the issues that others have had. I believe its just one person though and they are usually just game codes from bundles and things like that.
 
Just barely bought ACIV from GDD, got the code within seconds, redeemed just fine. Downloading it now.

Edit: Just bought Sly Collection for PS3 as well. Got the code on the screen after checkout and also got a copy in my email. Redeemed just fine as well.  :D/

BoxedDeal is another good site also. Grabbed :ps4: LBP3 for $25 last week. Instant code after payment. I highly recommend GDD and BD.

Well I was close. My list included Ass Bro and instead we got Ass Lib at a discount.  

Maybe Lococycle will show up again and they'll have it on sale for Xbox One AND 360 this time around.

A see a hint of light through the crack in the wall of these dreary sales. Doesn't mean it saves the sales or there is light at the end of the tunnel, just that there is a slight glimmer off to the side. Very tempted by Marvel Super Heroes.

I wonder what these Lego deals are, are they a part of the daily deal or did they do date night a night early, because if that's the weekly sales for next week my opinion of the sales over the holidays has dropped to a new low.

 
How big is the download size on Xbox one for assassin creed black flag? I was able to get a download code for it for $1 and going to ahead and download it now just want to make sure I have enough free space right now first though

I enjoyed it a lot, and it's pretty easy to max cheevos if you're into that. The swamp was buggy sometimes when it was first released, haven't played it since then so I don't know if it was patched or not. Things like swimming on land. The weirdest bug I found was when I was free running once, I ran across a rowboat and it launched straight up into the air, landing of course killed me since it launched me like it was a cannon.
