Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

In for the Jack-Pack. It was only a matter of time before I bought this one, I love YDKJ.

Nice. Even better!
When I saw the Pack was on sale, at first I was like "Man, should have waited" but then I realized how much fun I had had with it already and didn't care that I paid full price, it was worth it

If you can get 3 or more people, I almost think Drawful is the best game

Drawful is the best.

Yep, I got it a little bit ago via smartglass.
Funny thing is ive only played MCC like 3 times since launch, but it's probably for anyone who played while online. I remember hearing we would be getting ODST at some point too so maybe this is part of that.

Also decided to grab Jack Box. Everyone seems to have good things to say and my fiancé enjoys trivia. Seems like a good game to have company over for. I'd like to try it tonight but I'm on call for a heating company in Massachusetts tonight so I'll be compulsively staring at my phone instead

While I haven't played with friends, I've played while watching other streamers and Fibbage and Drawful are the best two hands down. Fibbage does have a tendency to drift towards penises though.

As for the other games, it varies. Lie Swatter is interesting in the sense where you get asked different questions and have to determine whether it's true or a lie. While meh otherwise, I did learn a lot about the Little Rascals cast and how they all did or did not die.

Wordspud is my least favorite of the bunch. You start off with a word and take turns adding on to that word and the other players vote on it. First word could be "Out". You add "House". Other players vote if it's a good or bad match. If it's good, it's accepted and play moves on to the next person. If it's rejected, the next player starts with a new word.

Only one I don't have much experience with is You Don't Know Jack. While I'm sure it's a good game with a group of friends locally, it makes for a terrible game on stream since the lag gives you practically zero time to answer the question.

That said, it's worth the price just for Fibbage and Drawful alone.

Just beat Alien Isolation and I have to say, Bravo Sega. They got it right, that's exactly how an Alien game should be. Now if someone will go and make another The Thing game and get it right this time.

I haven't gotten it yet, they better be still sending them out.

I bought it digitally on launch, first cheevo unlocked was 11/15 online. So I played online well before the 12/29 deadline. Customer service is going to feel the wrath if I don't get my fucking stuff.

Yeah, I haven't gotten mine yet either.

It was pro'ly a mistake; you should report!!! :)
Dear MS,

I only supported MCC briefly before launch when your marketing team dosed me with hallucinogenic drugs that made me buy your broken game. Actually trying to play it broke the trance and I have no supported it since.

Sincerely,

Sir Go Die In a Fire Esquire the Fourth

Can't they call a spade what it is? A spade? This kid is a terrorist, cyber or not.
Isn't there supposed to be some kind of ideology behind being a terrorist? And I don't think money, "the lulz" or "wanting to watch the world burn" qualify.

Went on the 360 the other night to grab the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2 for BL2 but didnt see it listed even though I saw it on the website.

Now, I cant see it on the website either, what the hell is going on?

Anyone know if its fixed on the console?
Things are still fubar'ed on the 360.

Not working. You have to sound like you really hated the game, especially after it was fixed. You are not very convincing, I think they will make you keep the extra month, just out of spite. Sorry dude, you loose!

No, let's not. Let's call people that might shutdown electrical grids or major commerce organizations, terrorists, cyber or not and leave the title of kiddie hacker for ddosing game networks.

I really don't get the comments about the difficulty. Sure it's rough in the beginning because it has a steep learning curve but you don't die nearly as often as you do in a game like Dark Souls.
"Difficulty" isn't really the word, more like akwardness. Also we are likely all talking about different versions, the combat has apparently been changed several times since launch on PC.

As for that version, the hitboxes were inconsistent, animations gave no feedback whether you took a blow or not, and the movement was janky and mostly involved rolling on the ground. Parrying was inconsistent and didn't feel skillful or rewarding. In fact you were punished for it.

The generally accepted strategies for normal mode were to first die so that you knew which potions to quaf before opening a door, roll around a lot while you waited for key spells to come off cooldown or have resources or something, get one hit in and start rolling around again.

yeah, i was also hoping to download it for free. since i heard all of the hype on it.
I remember trying the Witcher 2 and just couldn't get into it. I really wanna try it again because Witcher 3 looks pretty damn badass.

Really haven't fired up my 360 since I got an xbone but I think I'm a give Witcher 2 anther try.

I waited for xbox chat and the guy just never responded.after a while I started asking him about lost but he wouldt respond he obviously was a fan of the black smoke monster and my jacob questions angered him

If you played the pc version then yes I assume we are. I didn't find the 360 version that difficult to be honest, just the beginning of the game before I figured out how to use everything properly since it was a much different control scheme than I was accustomed to. Also, I don't recall having to be overly dependent upon potions.

Was it the online chat? Don't do that. Call them if you want to get anywhere. The online chat probably uses the same program as Ambassador chat or something similar. That has been broken for awhile. Randomly it will lock out the chat to the support person, while the person asking for help is left in the dark.

You should be able to disable that, but I highly recommend that you don't. It is there to keep random people from calling them and pretending to be you.

Well I would say You Don't Know Jack is the best, that's why I bought the pack. But yeah I could see it being unplayable by stream.

I agree that Wordspud is the worst and doesn't really even make sense as a game. Players can just straight up make you lose by never choosing "yes/good" whatever but it can be interesting just to see the finished group of words

I actually had already bought standalone Fibbage so I haven't even tried Fibbage XL yet.

Lieswatter is kind of weak too

Saints Row IV xbone version is up on the dash for preorder. I'm downloading mine now. This was one of my favorite games on 360. Just a heads up for anyone else who's been waiting anxiously for this!

This may be the game to tear me away from DA:I. You know you've played an rpg too much when you start dreaming about it. Every conversation in my dreams last night had dialog options.

This is not good. LOL

I've been playing DA:I too much to the point where I am almost burnt out..So I'm taking a break. Funk of Titans is really a nice quick burst gaming right there.

And new addon for trials fusion is coming soon, so that may tear me away from DA:I too.

Why digitally download it when you can get it for $30 at BB after GCU? (includes SR4 + GooH)

Isn't there supposed to be some kind of ideology behind being a terrorist? And I don't think money, "the lulz" or "wanting to watch the world burn" qualify.

Things are still fubar'ed on the 360.
A terrorist uses terror to achieve a goal, these kids are more of anarchists. The fun part now that they have a couple of them is watching how fast the kids roll over on each other now that the consequences are real.

I will most likely be getting the digital version so my son and I can play together with just the one purchase.

*edit*

Crap, just noticed I have $25 in rewards certificates.

Yeah, $40 after GCU and comes with a $10 GC, making the end cost $30 if you pay with RZ certs and/or GCs.

I had been sitting on Volgarr The Viking for months. Just didn't want to subject myself to retro NES style difficulty torture. Plus there was so much other shit to play. So after clearing out most of my backlog I decided I needed something to play, so, Volgarr. Turns out this game is addicting as fuck! Yeah its tough and there's a lot of trial & error involved but once you get past a spot that was giving you trouble, its such a satisfying feeling. Its got that "one more try, just one more" factor going for it. I probably won't 100% this thing but I'll give it my best.

Finally bought Minerva's Den. I thought it was a standalone game but it doesn't show up on my games list without me being online. I suppose I will have to find my copy of Bioshock 2 if I don't want to buy the download.

yeah. Expect killing 10 or more minutes when contacting support. I usually burn 30 easy

Anyone ever have issues redeeming the Tomb Raider 14 day Gold codes?  When I tried last night it told me I already had Gold (currently expired) and I should give the code to a friend.  I then tried a Halo 4 14 day code and it worked without issue.

If you played the MCC you have a month of gold right now
