So the X1 dashboard update is live I guess? Must have hsppened overnight. I turned it on this morning and saw I have transparent tiles, so I checked to see if "game hub" was an option and sure enough...

I like it. My background looks ugly as sin though coming through the green tiles. Gonna have to change that.

Edit: so x1 can't download from the marketplace and move files at the same time? Even the 360 could do that. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I Find it hard to believe I can't download resident evil while moving nfs:rivals over to the external hd.

If you haven't received your Neverwinter beta code yet, don't lose hope. I just got mine 10 minutes ago.

I've never played a MMORPG before, or a Dungeons & Dragons game. I'm actually a little nervous to start this thing. The fact that it's taking FORVER to download isn't helping. Oh well, maybe I'll see some of you guys on there tonight.

Edit #2: it's 10.04 gb for those curious.

yeah, my Chrome died too. If you want to make your gifs smaller, paste the url into gfycat.com

Although you can't embed the gfy, you can just link them here and it'll turn a 10mb file into a 1mb file.

Got my Neverwinter beta code earlier today as well.  Don't even remember signing up for it, but hopefully its pretty fun.  Its hard to convince myself to play unfinished games when I have so many already released games I need to play through.

I always thought gifs were kinda funny, but now I understand what can happen if they fall into the wrong hands.  You guys destroyed chrome and I have to use IE for the second time ever on my computer

 
I guess I created a monster. I warned that the dudes on them got pretty hefty. Hopefully they'll update it to make it more forum friendly. Still a neat idea.

Watched a few minutes. Still waiting for mine to finish downloading. So where does the mmo part come in to play? What I saw was you running around completing sidequests, which is right up my alley. Reminded me of kingdoms of amalur in a way. Anyway, thanks for streaming. Now I have a better idea what I'm getting into if my download ever finishes.

I'm honestly not sure, I didn't get much farther on the PC version than I am now. It's heavily instanced but around 5-6 you get to an area that's got other players questing in it at the same time. There's also a like 5 man combat instance there too.

It's OK enough and I'll probably play it more but it makes me want to see ESO now (never played that one of PC).

Neverwinter felt very meh. I'll definitely play for achievements. Reading through the Steam reviews left a bad impression as well. Apparently there is a lot of stuff locked behind paywall. Including a race (or maybe class?) that is only available in $100 edition of the game. Plus where the hell is the mini-map?

Hardline felt weird. Think I liked it, but not sure. Hotwire was a lot of fun. Loved racing through the city. Not a big fan of the gun fighting. I could get used to it though. Good soundtrack from what I heard.

I really want Turbine to bring LOTRO to X1. That game has proper F2P. 
Achievements give premium currency as rewards, so 99.9% of the game is completely free with a little achievement grinding, subscription if you don't want to grind, or buy the content upfront if you don't want to sub or grind. Little something for everybody. I've been buying special editions of all the expansions to support them after spending less than $10 to get multiple characters to max level.
Sadly the game is too old and probably would be a huge pain in the ass to port.

Yeah, after getting to about level 6 I've been remembering why I didn't ever get much further in the PC version. Would like to see an ESO beta since I never played that on PC and would like to see it's current state before purchasing.

Isn't Turbine all but dead? Neverwinter's way newer and still looks like butt to some degree.

I am extremely bias. Easily my favorite MMO with over 5,000 hours played since the game went F2P. Maybe my favorite of any kind of game. If it came to Xbox One, I would probably sell all my other games and never buy another game again.

I think LOTRO at max settings looks better than Neverwinter, but I've never played NW on PC so that version probably looks amazing at max settings. I don't know much about how Turbine's other games are doing, but LOTRO isn't dead yet. I think they can survive through Mordor. Getting really close with Gondor and some other regions planned this year. Too many servers with not enough players in the newer servers. They plan to shutdown some of the low populated servers by the end of this year. Which I think will be all the new servers they added when the game first went F2P.. I haven't been doing much PVP because my server is one with low population. I can't wait for free server transfers. Some servers people complain about having to wait in a queue. That only happens to mine if a new movie comes out.

With the Hobbit movies ending, they don't have much marketing outside of streams that they are starting to sponsor.
Supply premium currency for giveaways, devs join stream to answer questions/play, and help with promotions. Nintendo can learn a thing or two from this
Almost every MMO goes through a period of "almost dead", but manage to survive for another 3+ years. They were supporting Asheron's Call with new content until last year and still maintain the servers today. That game launched in 1999.

If they did have to shutdown, I hope somebody would "accidently leak" some way to play private servers. I don't think there are any private servers for the game right now, probably because Warner Bros watching the IP like a hawk.

I'm more curious about Dragon's Dogma Online. I loved skyrim and oblivion, but that universe just doesn't seem like one I'd want to share with other people. I didn't enjoy dragons dogma any more than I did the Bethesda games, but that world just seems more suited for an mmo. Does that make sense? I didn't feel any kind of personal connection to the world of DD, I never felt like it was MY world, unlike skyrim. I'd love to play DD with others. Elder Scrolls, I just don't know yet.

Finally got around to playing Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. You know, for people with a backlog this game is a horrible curse because there's no way it can really end and it's fun.

 
I didn't know PvZ had queues for multiplayer. I think last time I played it would just say game full when trying to join friends. Makes it much easier to play together.
 
Finally had the chnce to play the demo for JUJU. It's a nice game that reminds me of a cross between Rayman and Klonoa. Wondering if I should pick it up now @ $7.49 or be picky and wait for $5.00.

I'm going to wait on de Blob since there is no trial and it's on other consoles as well.
