I love it because it appeals to the fantasy geek and MMO player in me. Hate how much of a time sink it is though.

I have $7.40 I have to spend in my US account. I need to figure out how to buy games because it seems like Microsoft blocks buying with a US account if you're in Canada, even though I've been buying games with this account since last year.


Anyways, I picked up Just Cause 2 and so far, it's been a blast to play. I don't really know what's going on but running around with the grappling hook is awesome!
 
Thanks everyone from here that checked out NBA Live 15 with me today.  Hopefully you got a good sense of the game and that it's a pretty good game after last year's mess.  I think it's definitely worth $9 for anyone on the fence that wants a basketball game.  Really sucks that it goes into that pause screen for the stream when you're in the menus.  Probably because of copyright issues but still a shame since it kept me from showing off some of the Ultimate Team stuff.

This seriously pisses me off. I just gave two of my nephews $5 in Xbox credit so they could get Sonic and Microsoft screwed all of us by pulling the sale early.

It really is ridiculous. I was going to buy Sonic Racing too, but it's back up to full price, and the weekend isn't even over yet. I'm contacting MS to see what's up.

Yep, I'm trying to buy the Forza season pass and it either tells me that it's not available in my region (lol) or they're having problems with their servers and to try again later.

Called MS about the weekend sale, and the customer service representative was awesome. He had me purchase the game at full price, then refunded the purchase! Free Sonic Racing, plus extra space bucks in my account, awesome.

From this amazing sale all I got was Costume Quest 2. Debating Lara Croft and Sniper Elite III I can wait on cheaper for Complete Edition.

 
Just got off of a call with xbox and they said that all times are GMT, so I asked them why is this still on the dash, no good response, why are the X1 deals still up, no good response.  No offer to give the me the advertised price either.  MS really messed up this sale.

 
Shit I missed out on Dragon's Dogma! Oh well, too much on my backlog plate as it is. Would've probably played it in Fall 2016 at the earliest anyway.

With the way that MS is afraid to allow prices to be posted by Major Nelson for sales posts, you'd think if a sale would really end on GMT that they'd have a countdown timer up somewhere to make it easy for anybody in any part of the world to understand what arbitrary time their sales will end instead of guessing.

This would help but not in this case. Sonic Racing sale ended before 12AM GMT cuz I was going to buy it this morning and it was over already.

Oh well, nothing for me. I was going to buy Sonic Racing but the sale was over and Costume Quest 2 but I don't want to renew my gold right now.

Only thing I picked up on this less than ultimate sale was Dark Arisen. Price wise there was nothing outstanding on anything that I don't already own. Was seriously considering Halo 4, but just couldn't pull the trigger on it for that price. Sub ten bucks yes, for twelve though, especially since I won't ever be doing the co-op or multiplayer parts, that was just too much.

Exactly how I felt after missing Sonic. That was the only thing I wanted from the weekend sale. It was after about 5 seconds of anger due to the early pull that I realized it was for the better. I already picked up a few items already from the week long deals.

I understand the weekend deal is over but is the sale over completely? because many of the items are still at discount except a few of the none weekend deals such as metro 2033.

 
Guys I just bought Sonic Racing on the console at the discounted price. It shows $29.99, but when you click on it to purchase it shows the discounted price again. I just bought it. Hurry.

 
I bought State of Decay at around 3-4 central today.. not sure if that was a 'weekend' sale or not.. (too lazy to check too)

But I was also having issues going through the website. Ended up working for me when I purchased it through the Xbox.

 
Thanks guys. I decided to go gold since my membership wouldn't make it to Mar 31 due to the short month and finally got Sonic. I also got Costume Quest 2 for the One but for some reason I had to get it through the system to get the full discount. It was $6 on the website.

For that price, it's a steal. You don't really need to know what's going on, just how to use the grappling hook, how to manipulate objects (including explosives) with said grappling hook, and have an appetite for destruction. Hours and hours of sandbox mayhem await you. :boxing: :fridge: :twoguns:

Had to stop myself from buying Styx, even though it looks real good and has a great price i really hate stealh games so Id likely never touch it. Also chose to hold off on NBA Live because its gonna be on EA Access. Probably would have grabbed Costume Quest and Lara Croft as well but have both of them on ps4. I think that overall this was an excellent sale, and hope we see more like it (aside from games randomly disappearing from the sale).
 
Final tally was Sniper III, NBA Live and the SoM SP. Pretty happy with all that. Would have liked to have seen the SO SP show up, but I'm sure it will eventually.

I am completely hooked on NBA Live and I haven't watched a basketball game in 10 years. :)
 
I picked up LotF and Sniper Elite III as soon as the prices dropped and then State of Decay yesterday solely for the future discount on the X1 version.

Plus I actually have put quite a few hours into LotF so it isnt an insta backlog purchase! haha
