Kinda funny how I just got past 75k last November when I bought my Xbox One - 7 months later or so I already earned around 25k despite not blatantly whoring the cheevos. I guess it does help that every game has now at least 1000G, and there's been some really fast and easy games to 1000 - even some free ones like the Fast & Furious Forza game.

 
Congrats! I swore once I hit 100K I would slow down. 4 months and 23K later, I realize I lied to myself. Shooting for 150,000GS by years end.

Hey Ebb, you can change it to be that way in the settings. One of the reviews I read actually suggested doing that asap.
 
After the lack-of-content in the game, the overly priced DLCs, the fact that Xbox players get significantly less content for the same price, after a new expansion pack is announced which costs more than all other DLCs combined and isn't obviously included in the season pass, after the game's director Luke Smith mocks the players who don't feel like spending 80 bucks for something they already own... one of the expansion's missions is locked for several months unless you use a code found in Red Bull cans, sold in US & Canada at 7-Eleven.

I mean, seriously, you can't even make this shit up anymore. Cross-promotion with food or beverage is nothing new, but we're talking about locking a mission that you paid for (40 bucks, nonetheless), in a game that is already ridiculously low on content, all this while still in the middle of the storm that Luke Smith's words caused just the other day. I mean, just look at this part of the contest's rules:

Thank you both. I searched the menu but didn't see this last night. This should definitely improve my experience.

Make sure to play the Harley Quinn segment first. It doesn't add essential details to the story, but there is some interesting things to see and hear if you have her variation of detective mode on.

I assume the Red Hood DLC is as short as Harley's. I'm debating this Season Pass still, but the brief Harley segment doesn't convince me that the Batgirl DLC will be worth the majority of the $40.

I left 200 hours in, well before the first DLC. Occasionally I wonder if it'd be a good idea to jump back in, then I see shit like this and realize I'm better off wrestling with my backlog, thank you very much. I'll wait for the inevitable "Destiny Ultimate Final Collection 2025" for like 60 bucks which will contain all of their 10-year-plan franchise bullcrap, including 5 incomplete games that by the time will be complete thanks to the 150$ DLCs all of them got.

What's funny is that a lot of people will be suckered into buying this overpriced DLC (or worse, the 80$ edition to get some extra shaders and emotes), but I'm practically guaranteeing it that it's not even gonna be the final version, as I'd be surprised not see at least one more story DLC down the line as well, so they'll be able to make yet another version of the game.

 
That guy Luke Smith is hilarious. He pretty much tells Destiny fans they will continue to get fucked up the ass, and not only will they keep paying, but they'll enjoy every second of the rape.

And he's right. Destiny is here to stay, and people will keep paying. Bungie could charge $9.99 to exit the menu screen and the addicts would happily throw their money at the screen after bitching for a few minutes.
 
Ignoring the DLC stuff, did people enjoy Destiny? The Beta turned me off pretty quickly, but to read about how much time people put in makes it seem like the game was fun, just devisive because one console gets shafted.

I legitimately enjoyed it. I had fun playing solo, making new friends, and playing with existing ones. Was severely disappointed by the core game's endgame aside from the challenging raid, but then gave it another shot with the first DLC since I already paid for it. It made things worse, they even screwed up the only enjoyable part of the game (raiding), and then like a drug addict, I decided that giving the second DLC (also already paid for) would be it's redemption. I was so, so wrong. Uninstalled cold turkey, and never returning to it ever again.

The first of that DLC will make you fight all the same enemy races again, but this time they will be yellow colored.

The second of that DLC will make you fight all the same enemy races again, but this time they will be green colored.

I feel morally obligated to note that all of the DLC for Fallout 3 and New Vegas are on install discs on the GOTY editions that can be bought used and returned to GameStop because that's how GameStop's used games policy works.

very interested to see how the bethesda dlc will work on backwards compat, they announced fallout4 will include 3, wonder if that means all dlc or if the dlc disk will work on xbone

I just lost all interest in X1 free GWG. I already know we're gonna keep getting some rinky dink bullshit for another year at least. I'm just looking forward to the 360 announcement now, seeing as how they always give out some nice AAA games.
 
If Destiny were to release today with all of the content from the base game and DLCs, it would be a fine game. Not spectacular, but certainly worth a $60 MSRP. I recently started playing again, and I'm enjoying it. It's a shame that it fell back off the rails with this Taken King CE, as it was moving in the right direction up until then. The potential that game had though... I'm afraid that even a sequel will never meet that.

Since I can't multi-quote on mobile, they are releasing a Legendary Edition (Think GotY) that includes the base game, The two DLCs and The Taken King for $60. If I continue playing Destiny, I will probably sell my copy and pick up that edition. Wouldn't be a big loss for me because I didn't buy any of the DLCs in the first place.

The platinum hits version doesn't work because it is a different pressing that includes the DLC. It should work by the time BC comes to everyone.
