I don't know why you felt the need to post an essay to justify your behavior. I'm just a guy on the Internet. If we knew each other in real life, yes, I would think less of you but why should you care even then. Your point is basically "I steal a dollar. Corporations steal hundreds of dollars." Straight-up piracy would be preferable to what you advocate because then at least you didn't cost anyone money or waste anyone's time. It's akin to when people pay a penny for a Humble Bundle - why would you (general you) do that? You just cost the retailer payment processing and bandwidth fees. Just pirate the game instead of kidding yourself about supporting the industry.

Does anyone think the new BC news will work against 360 sales? Now the games are still relevant making it less desirable to cut their prices, do companies think like that ?

I feel like it could go either way. Some might companies might think with the Xbox One being BC that they can still justify charging full price while others might think oh the Xbox One is BC this would be a great way to push sales for older games that maybe aren't getting purchased often.

 
Yeah, turtles are awesome. I used to have two pet turtles but they died. I was very sad.


You know what else is great? Hot dogs (not as pets, but to eat). What a versatile food. You can boil them, broil them, grill then, steam them, microwave them, even fry them, though I haven't personally tried the last one. You don't even need a condiment to enjoy them.


Man, anything to not talk about ethics...

I Had that a few days ago and it was one of the worst thing's I've ever eaten and easily the saltiest. By now I agree with the Daily Show's sentiment that it looks like abunch of uncircumcised dick's jerking off on a pizza.

Don't try their supposed "Cinnasticks". Made that mistake during a hunger crave. All they do is just take the crust bread and put a thin coat of cinnamon on top. Still tasted like pizza and grease. fucking terrible.


Slightly back on topic: It'd be alright if Minecraft were GWG for next month on the Xbone, but then that cross promo deal would probably be defunct, so won't happen until after that deal is up I guess.

This backwards compatibility has really made me interested in old 360 games. I'm hoping that developers will put a lot of stuff on sale because I'm with the crowd here that most of the these games are dead so some sales are better than none. I think BC will reinvigorate a portion of the 360 catalog.

I just hope they add more titles to the preview program and soon, oh and that they iron out the framerate issues etc. they've been having. I played Geometry Wars and experienced a little bit of slowdown, and in that game it's definitely not good. I've got a bunch of arcade titles that I'm suddenly interested in playing!

I love the BC. I had stopped even seriously considering 360 games but now I believe I will keep picking them up for a long time.

The reasoning for a trip from "Don't be scum" to essay should be pretty obvious. The reasoning for going from "Don't be scum" to "I'm just a guy on the Internet; why are you justifying yourself to me?" is a bit harder for me to get: You wanted me to be sure I knew I was doing something scummy in your eyes, but didn't want me to justify it?

My point here and always about DLC theft/rental/whatever is just that there's a straightforward, legal (if morally ambiguous) way of getting something cheaper than its sale price, and it was relevant this week because of what was on sale on XBL. This point always brings up the same sort of circle-jerkery on morals ("You're not a great person because you take advantage of GameStop for pennies on the dollar!") -- but I wanted to get out that screed because someone calling me scum got me thinking about gaming/living on the cheap, which I've been thinking about a lot lately.

I have my position. Others have theirs. I'm thinking no minds were or will be changed on the topic, even if some people were perhaps availed of a way to save some money. And so I'm happy to drop this here, unless someone inexplicably wants to keep going in PMs.

Arkham City and Origins had similar things where you had to open areas or get better upgrades, but it wasn't as overt. This game you can see the side missions, but some of them you have to trigger or wait for them to allow you to progress. Once you progress further more things begin to appear, so you begin to get much more to do.

At some point in the game Riddler will let you know he has a hostage. This message appears on a billboard of a tall building. Make sure you grapple to the top of that building for a surprise.

So would it be wise or dumb to pick up GTA IV for $4 on 360? Even San Andreas is $3.74 

I feel like this game will certainly be backwards compatible. Then again this game goes on sale every few weeks lol. I expect to see a 360 store on the xbox one with bc titles for some crazy deals after they get it all implemented.

We in Italy pay 70 Euros for a brand new game, and now one of the major retailers is running a -40% sale on ALL videogames, with some games already having got an earlier price reduction nonetheless. So there's stuff like Wolfenstein: The New Order, Far Cry 4 and Mortal Kombat X for like 24 Euros, but I just can't get myself to pull the trigger. To think that I would have lost my mind if I saw a few months old game for 40 Euros around 5 years ago, right now I barely ever spend over 20 for one game.

 
About 5 hours into Batman. I love it - no doubt. But I kinda wished there was slightly less Batmobile sequences. The controls are fine and it has a great move set - but I want to be ziplining and grapnel-ing around Gotham a bit more...

A new Halo 5 video detailing Warzone is up on Xbox Wire. Looks really, really fun. My only fear is that these "largest Halo maps ever" will be a lot of me running/driving for 30 seconds to the hot spot and then just get murdered once I finally get there.

In all seriousness, a pretty good month. Never played Black Flag and I'll be more inclined to play it now for the X1 than the 360. Never heard of So Many Me so not even sure what to expect from that, but a brand new game for free, can't complain about that.

The 360 is a bit of a pass though. Couldn't get into Gears of War and already own Plants vs Zombies. Although the latter I own on a compilation disc, so not having to put that in anymore will be nice. May incline to finish it off finally.

 
Not bad GWG, even though I own everything except So Many Me, which I haven't heard and assume it's a ne ID@Xbox game.

Very happy to see they are going to finally start doing two new games a month on the Xbox One.
