You don't have to be a huge BL fan to enjoy tales from the borderlands, right? I've just heard it's really good and funny but I've only played BL 2 and never got very far. I did think claptrap was pretty hilarious though.

The Tales game takes place after the events of BL2, so you may be skipping some story if you haven't beatn BL2 yet.

Speaking of TellTales games, how much replay-ability do they have? Almost zero?

Maximum a second play through to make alternative choices. Oftentimes, I didn't even feel this was necessary as I had made the choices I felt fit my character the best. I played TWD: S1 twice and Wolf once, probably play TWD: S2 once.

Okay, since a lot of people need info on Screamride as it somehow flew under the radar, I'll sum it up for you. Forget the trailer and the concept, there's not much story or real purpose found in it - it's all about the rollercoasters. Also, don't expect a tycoon or any kind of management game, 'cause this one certainly isn't one. You can build your own rollercoasters with a very powerful editor (although I've found it improveable in some aspects, it's generally fairly easy and cool), allowing you to build destructible stuff, loops, jumps, and all kinds of bonkers stuff you definitely wouldn't see IRL. The editor also gets its use in a game mode much akin to Trackmania's puzzle mode, where you have certain parts of the rollercoaster set, and you have to connect them making sure the people don't fall off due to excessive twists and turns and by staying in the space and money limits. The main mode, however, is in the racing: you use your own cart to drive on the rails as fast as you can, timing your turbos, controlling your speed and angle to make sure you don't fly out like crazy, and trying to score a great time record. I've found this gamemode really fun, especially on exciting tracks. There's also an Angry Birds-style gamemode where you launch pods (with people in them) against buildings, explosives and whatnot. I've found this mode to be the least interesting, because most of the "shortcuts" (eg. explosives behind a wall) are usually hidden, and the controls aren't too amazing either here, leaving plenty to luck.

So, all in all there is a very powerful editor and a pretty unique, challenging and fun racing game in this. The campaign isn't extremely long (although the difficulty gets pretty high), but the game lives thanks to a pretty good community, and there's hundreds/thousands of tracks created by the players, with some really cool ideas. You'll find ridiculous drops, a Loch Ness monster shaped track, a mindboggingly fast track inside a glassbox, a track with the IGN logo underneath, a ride with tons of jumps, and so on. It's not Trials Fusion level of variety, as you can't change the game's rules, but it's a powerful editor that lets you change things to the smallest detail in many things. If you're a creative kind of guy, I definitely suggest picking the game up at this price, as it can steal dozens (if not hundreds) of hours away. However, if you're not planning to build stuff in it, the novelty may wear off quickly, and with no multiplayer and no massive variety you might get bored quick. There is a demo up on 360 and One as well, I suggest giving that one a shot since it features a race, a puzzle map and that Angry Birds-sort of mode as well. See how you like all this, because that's what you getting, not a lot more. If you enjoy the racing aspect, the community will satisfy you with even better tracks, but again, this is a game to get if you have creativity and patience to build something cool, otherwise it loses a lot of appeal.

I personally enjoyed the destruction level the most. There's a lot of trial and error at first, but once you get the hang of it, watching huge structures collapse and blow up is pretty awesome.
 
I always forget about demos. I also don't want to download a demo and have it count towards my data cap. So I like to ask for reviews. It's hard to trust gaming scores anymore. Most of the big company's give out good reviews because they were paid too.
 
I'd just like to say Battlefield: Bad Company's campaign fucking SUCKS. Playing this shit on Normal and its just endless, endless, ENDLESS waves of the same generic enemies taking you down as if you're playing on Hardcore mode. And there's certain points where if you die, you have to start allllll the way back from the objective and walk/drive back to where you were, and everytime you die (which is often) you have to repeat the same process. So fucking tedious. I gave up on the last mission, I just couldn't take the stupidity of the gameplay anymore.

 
Went ahead and purchased Slender, Blood of the Werewolf, and Mutant Blobs Attack. Not bad for $12.

I noticed there was some Warhammer game on sale and played the demo. It sucks; played like a Gears of War clone but worse.

Wallet is down to $1.37.

I totally agree. I have echoed this sentiment in the past, too. The demolition physics in Screamride are excellent. It is a fun little game.

 
If no weekend deals pop up, I'll definitely get screamride and tales from the borderlands. So far I picked up Lego batman, korra, AC China and killer instinct. I'll probably end up with funk of Titans too. Haven't even started arkham knight.

That is my mindset too especially when there are no good deals or CAGs selling them cheap. Though the $15 3x Pack + $5 bonus ($45 for $50 credit) is discontinued so that really makes buying from retail in general far less enticing : (

 
On the fence about Lego Batman 3. Obviously a great price for all the content. But with a huge XB1 and 360 backlog already, this one might not get played for quite some time.

Groo, I always didn't like Battlefield: Bad Company.   I got so tired of going to the smoke area once the enemies were defeated. The final battle was good, but the game overall didn't do much for me.

Bad Company 2, on the other hand, I enjoyed a lot.  Check that game out instead as there is more variety to gameplay.

 
Finally uploaded nearly everything I have on my external HDD (minus a few DLC for titles I've beaten or games I already own on disc and don't need from GwG) now I have no excuse to go through my backlog of games on my 360 and...Hey pornography is on the internet!

Yeah, good advice. It is nice to have a wide variety of games to scratch that specific game itch at any time. It used to just be a physical disc backlog ... now my digital backlog is the major player in my collection. I really just need to quit my full time job and focus on gaming while the kids are at school.

Team17 announced a partnership with Skybound for a new The Escapists game based on The Walking Dead comics. You play as Rick Grimes trying to figure out an escape route for your survivors while walkers invade each location you're at, which are supposedly based on various parts of the comic's storylines. It's kind of a weird partnership, but it seems like they're going all out on Walking Dead games with the VR game, the Michonne Telltale miniseries, and this.

Hell yeah. My character should be a fuckin half-dead junkie dope fiend from all the times I've stuck that sumbitch. The enemies still do way too much damage and have sniper aim with machine guns....on Normal.

Exactly. I'm looking at it as the cheapest LEGO Marvel has been was about $7. So I figure if it were to hit that price in a year and a half that I would still have to wait for the season pass (which seems to be a decent amount of content) to go on sale for like $6. So at those prices I'll buy it now instead of waiting a year for the same prices.

It doesn't have any achievements added, and only has some new hunters and a monster or two.

I personally wouldn't buy it if I hadn't gotten it for free.

The current pass of 14.99 is what I actually paid for the physical copy of the game(gamefly sale) lol.

Depends on how much variety you want in the hunter selection for missions. I haven't played Evolve all that much, but having an extra four hunters to pick from (I haven't unlocked the second tier yet) gives at least some variety and maybe more replay value. As far as I know, this is the first time it's been on sale separately since launch (unless you're counting the misleading ad at BBY which is how some got it for free). At this point, it may be a price drop vs. a sale, since Hunting Pass Season 2 just released ($25). There are no new maps, monsters, or modes though, just the four extra characters (one for each class) and an extra skin for the first three monsters (not really a selling point, imo).

If you pre-ordered the game, the fourth monster is free/available (Behemoth) via the Monster Pack or whatever they called it. The Hunting Pass Season 2, just announced, has 4 hunters, 1 new monster, and 5 skins - of which only one hunter has been released - so that seems like a better value, compared to the first (when it was $24.99, as that was just 4 hunters and 3 skins).

So I figure if it were to hit that price in a year and a half that I would still have to wait for the season pass (which seems to be a decent amount of content) to go on sale for like $6. So at those prices I'll buy it now instead of waiting a year for the same prices.

The season pass adds six themed levels - and while most are fun (some are better than others), none are all that long. However, each has achievements and you can then use the SP characters in the main game/freeplay.

 
So I just tried both Mutant Blobs and Blood of the Werewolf:

Mutant Blobs just felt boring to me. It didn't feel like a very good platformer and the blob had floaty controls. 

Blood of the werewolf was insanely hard. Played 5 minutes and knew right away I couldn't buy this. It sucks because it seems like a really good game, just too difficult for me lol. 

So far, my haul has been:

Crysis 3

GoT Season Pass

Dragon Age Origins 

Are there any recommendations I should check out on the 360?

I thought the bridge was a fun and interesting puzzle/platformer. Kinda reminded me of braid. Also injustice is gonna be BC soon so if you have an X1 you'll be able to play it on that. It was my favorite fighter of last gen.

Well relative to previous LEGO content I suppose. I'm also a sucker for the Arrow stuff alone.
