Why does ending in a number other than 0 or 5 bother people? It's so much more distinct. Plus it gives you options like 123,456, or 77,777 or some other variations. For a bit I had 68,868 and it didn't annoy me.

I was playing The Orange Box two days ago and a weird valued Half-Life 2 achievement popped so I got upset and pulled up my gamercard only to realize it actually helped me. My GS is ending in a 5/0 again. I like weird valued achievements now, but never want another, but I'm grateful for it, but want to avoid them. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about them...

 
Does anyone know the X1s lifetime sold-in numbers? Not shipped, the actual amount of consoles that people bought from the store. I know Sony is winning this gen but I'm just curious how far behind the One is.

You just got to Player Statistics and then on each character you have the Upload Save to Xbox One option by hitting the right trigger I believe. Then on X1 go to the little vertical bar graph and select Transfer Your 360 Save.

The wording may be a hair off but the gist is there, it is super simple and quick.

Mine have current gen games but even with Mad Max plastered all over the place and front and center in their emails, not a single machine in my area is carrying it. I don't know how Redbox determines which games go where but it's bunch of crap.
 
I really, really dislike redbox. I have four of them within three miles of my house so when I got a free movie rental I figured "why not?".

I got a movie, watched it with the wife, drove to 7-11 to return it. The redbox was full and wouldn't take it. So I drove to walgreens and tried there. Same thing. Then I drove to cvs and tried that one. Same damn thing. So I called redbox and said "what the hell?!" They said I had to take a movie out in order to return that one. They gave me a code for another free rental so I could do that. The next day the same fuck ing thing happened with that movie.


Never again.

I actually had the 360 and X1 running on the same tv and so I swapped back and forth between the same shots of the game and when you see it on X1 you think that it looks nice and crisp like any other game. When you see the 360 one though you forget how muddy it really was until you see just how clear it is now. Felt weird at 60 fps as well with the combat. It of course is not some crazy detailed combat but the timing felt just a hair off being so damn smooth!

Isn't that illegal? For every return you would need to get a new movie, meaning the cycle would never end. There has to be some law preventing that.

It should be if it isn't. I got lucky. I was able to return the second movie at a redbox on the other side of town near my work. A guy came up right behind me and tried to return one and it was full for him. I'd probably still be going through the cycle if I hadn't left the dvd in my car when I went to work. I usually don't leave stuff like that in my car because in Florida, that shit will straight up melt.
 
Yeah Castle Crashers has a new mini game looks and runs better but that's about it.

Not that it matters though cuz It's free upgrade for those that bought the game on the 360, all 4+ million of em.

Running through the game with a friend again. It's pretty short but damn fun, one of the best arcade games from the 360 era.

The reason that he could not return without renting was that the kiosk was full of movies and could not hold any more, thus, needing to rent another to make a slot for it.

Yeah, we know. It's shady is all I'm saying. Mainly that it happened twice in a row, at three different redbox's and a third time if you count the guy who was next in line at the fourth redbox. You're either forced to rent another movie when you don't want one or pay the late fee. It's a racket.

If you upload one, it uploads them all, so you don't have to upload each character individually.

I'm lucky enough to never have that happen to me, but then again, I probably have about a dozen machines in a a three mile radius.

They're fine for movies - - I can't even begin to count the number of free rentals I've gotten.

But they do suck balls for game rentals.
 
It's not Xbox related, but anyone with an iOS device can download Infinity Blade 3 for free. Although, a word of warning, the damn thing is 2GB!

It just seemed like with all of the Alien stuff hidden and overt in the game that they were going to have some Alien Invasion DLC for a state sized map of fun. Could've been wild with all three characters messing around, saving Michael and Franklin's respective families as the area goes crazy. Imagine Trevor profanely fighting off a Mothership.

Too bad it isn't happening.

the gta v online is their bread and butter, how else are they going to sell those cash cards. by pumping out more content for gta v online, and nerfing the payouts after each update., unless u hack, glitch money. or grinding endless with those repetive long missions. buying cash cards in order to gethose new in games items is the only easy alternative.

I can't be alone in saying that I don't pay for GTA Online money, since I really don't play it. I would definitely buy Campaign DLC though to have more to do in the grand space of Los Santos. And since I now own a One I might even buy it twice. Second only to Mass Effect, I really like Rockstar Campaign DLC, and feel like there would be a lot more potential investors in that.

I realize it takes a lot more work to make a good DLC than it does to make up some tacky piece of clothing or add restrictions to online, but I just feel like it's a huge missed opportunity, especially considering the success of Lost and Damned, Ballad of Gay Tony and Undead Nightmare.

Not disagreeing with what you said, just that I feel like there's major money to be made off of a DLC expansion, especially considering there's 5 platforms for it.
