So I've been playing the Battlefront beta and I don't know how I feel about it.  It's OK enough but it's not really great either. The two modes they picked for it don't seem well suited to show it off either.  The unlock/setup system seems like it could potentially be interesting and how things are on cooldowns instead of limited uses.  I could see it being fun enough for a while but at the same time not being anything that I have to play.

Did they add the ability to skip the cut scenes? Those stupid unskippable cut scenes and the fact that you can't pick a certain part of the episode are the reasons I stopped doing Void Storm and just plugged away at crossroads. Either way my characters are lv 15 and leveling is slooooooooow.

 
I can't say I've really enjoyed the battlefront beta very much, I'll probably play the beta a bit more with friends but I don't see myself buying it. The maps are pretty barren, I feel like I die instantly, and I haven't enjoyed the weapons very much. Vehicles are fun but they feel incredibly  slow. Got 6 friends together but couldn't find a server for a half hour so we had to split up and play in small groups separately. I think I was hoping for a more battlefield game than battlefront. I liked the large amount of buildings and destructible environments in battlefield games so a barren wasteland isn't for me. Also that AT-AT mode on Hoth is incredibly unbalanced with the Empire being favored. No worries though, plenty of other great games this winter that are more suited towards me. I guess COD will be my online shooter of choice (primarily because I love the zombies mode). Sucks the PS4 gets the DLC first (again because I like COD zombies).

This. I need to play through the entirety of Void Storm 4 times for the achievements anyways, I have no desire to go back afterwards.

The only problem with Crossroads is you have to build the game from scratch over and over and over. Unless there's a way to restart the game without all the rebuilding?

I agree with you 1000%. This NXOE update has made my x1 an almost unusable, janky mess. Half the stuff doesn't work. When Live is connected, I can't access store, community, etc. Even my pins are gone. Turning it off and back on fixes it all but then kills my controller (except the XBox button) and leaving it sit for a moment or two forces the whole thing to shut down. Unplugging has not helped so far. I can't imagine trying to put up with this for a month or so until the official release and even then I can't imagine it will be ready for release. Yuck.

 
Battlefront Beta is awesome just for the fact I can watch players and tell if they're CoD players or Battlefield players. No cheap dives or quickscoping for you CoDers.
 
16GB patch for Witcher 3 is out.

I've been having fun with battlefront. Most likely still a day one purchase for me. With halo 5, COD, and battlefront all coming out, I guess i'll be able to put that Elite controller to good use.

 
I've been excited to fly home and try Battlefront, I gotta see if it's a day 1 buy or a wait for a price drop buy. It's my iffy one since I'm for sure getting halo 5 and fallout 4
 
I like the look of the new experience but it still needs some ironing:
-My Hulu Plus crashes when it starts playing
-navigating the top bar to "shop" it kinda just morphs into the shop.
-took several minutes to locate a game in the shop. That has been a gripe since I bought an Xbox One.

Eager to try the Battlefront beta.
 
Ive get booted out of 90% of battlefront games but the ones I have played are fun. I don't care for the card system. The maps I have played seem like a mess, but it is very possible it is because of me not being familiar with them. If I didn't already know that there would be at least $60 of DLC coming down the pipe I would buy it day 1. I will likely wait for the ultimate edition or for a deep discount on the game plus all meaningful DLC.

This isn't Battlefield, there's no premium or any paid dlc announced. They even announced there will be no microtransactions. There likely will be some paid dlc, but you sell season passes with pre-orders so I don't expect much dlc.

So I played 4-5 hours yesterday, and I don't recall dropping out of any games I started. There were multiple lobby drops and timeouts, but once a map loaded I was in it. The biggest problem I had was just launching the game, which would take several tries and restarts to accomplish. Not sure if that's BF or NXOE's fault.
 
I am sure this does not apply to many but if you had Destiny for the 360 and upgraded to the X1 you can still get the achievements for The Taken King even if you only own the DLC for the X1.  You won't have access to TTK content but any achievement you unlocked on the X1 will unlock again on the 360.  The only downside was downloading all the updates for the 360 to get it to boot up.

Yeah your character is the same but the missions are limited to base game content. It is a weird thing since you have the compatibility packs which allow you to wear the gear and even earn that gear in missions but not play any of the new missions.

 
Just had two of my lower wisdom teeth pulled this morning, and to relax a bit while I heal up I decided to play a bit of Gears Remastered, Blitz mode. Some douche in the lobby was running his mouth to one of my teammates, calling him everything foul you can think of....for NO reason. The guy talking shit was a level 87, the other guy was a 35.

So the game starts, and we are absolutely ass raping the other team. At one point its like 115 to 2, just straight up BTTFO. My level 35 teammate makes it a personal mission to destroy the shit talker. Post match, my 35 ends with 22 kills and the 87 ends with 3. The 87 quits out. I laugh hard as hell, and blood spurts out of one of my sockets.

Moral of the story: fuck wisdom teeth.

FYI, I plugged in both GoW2 and GoW3 and neither worked. Also, I own Gow3 and GowJ as GoD (just like everyone else I'm sure) and they didn't pop up in my list of games ready to install based on that.

At this point I don't care if I own the next game that pops up as BC, I just want to see the list grow!

Are you talking about deleting your shared worlds? First hit the View button (double squares to the left of Guide button) to bring up your player profile. Then go to Shared worlds. Go to the one you want to delete and hit X button. I don't think it even warns you, so delete with caution.

It was incredibly stupid of them to leave the Rising Star achievement. The remix spamming is much much worse now that everyone has 100 slots and everything unlocked. That achievement is really the only reason people are still doing that crap as it's the only reward left for uploading worlds. I'm not sure if they forgot about it or intended to leave it that way, but it has to be patched before the Community Games becomes a total disaster area.

I rented the 360 version witha free redbox code once to check it out, got the XB1 version with my XB1 so that actually does help me. Thanks for the heads up!

There's still achievements for uploading a world/uploading a remix world/having someone download your world/having someone remix your world/having someone remix your world 10 times, as well. The only one that's really egregious is Catalyst, though I imagine the others don't exactly help.

So 16gig patch for the witcher 3 went live today.

I have my xbox settings "always on" but the patch wasn't downloaded when I went to play.

I have the witcher 3 on disc does that make a difference?

Catalyst is super simple now: Have a 2nd silver account on your console remix one of your worlds 10 times (must be the same world) ---> switch back to your main profile and achievement unlocked. Go back to your 2nd profile and delete the remixes to lessen Community clutter.

The reason Rising Star is the one causing the remix cluster***k is because people are constantly 0% "remixing" the best worlds in an attempt to get the 100 downloads within 24 hours. Now that everyone has all the DLC unlocked, anyone can easily copy high rated worlds that previously required a ton of paid content and spam the community games in hopes of getting that achievement.

I don't think you have to beat the whole thing for the achievement. I got the one for beating it without dying right after I killed the goblin boss, so I guess I only have to do up to that with three more characters for the four characters one. The game saves all your crossroads in your created content area, so you can replay then from there. I don't know if you get XP on a replay though.
