Getting there was different than I was expecting though.
Much darker than I was expecting

Episode 1 and 2 were really boring, but things start to pick up at the end of episode 3. If anybody has played it a bit and put the game aside after playing the first couple episodes, stick with it. Dialogue gets much better and story becomes interesting. Starting last episode of Borderlands once I finish this one up.

Episode 5 of Borderlands was awesome, but the performance for me was shockingly bad. I mean, it's a telltale game, I don't expect locked 60 fps...but it had multiple times where the video would freeze for 5 seconds while the audio kept going.

 
I'm not usually bad at Halo but I sucked during the H5 beta, so I'm not feeling to confident about next week. At least I have Tuesday off from work!

I'm thinking about it. I don't even play the BC games I downloaded and I'd prefer to not have issues with all the games this fall... the other post saying the most recent update fixed a lot of issues allayed some of my fears though...

 
I also sent a request to join the clan. I'm still not sure if I'm getting the game Day 1 since WWE 2K16 comes out the same day and that gets top priority.

Now that I have finished episode 5 of Life is Strange.

[customspoiler='HUGE SPOILERS'] My prediction was wrong, but wasn't too far off. I struggled with the last choice you make. [customspoiler='NOT KIDDING SUPER SPOILERS HERE'] If you sacrifice Chloe and save the town, all of the choices made throughout the game become completely meaningless. I don't know how Max would be able to talk to anybody (especially Kate) without being at least slightly influenced by all the events that happened. Plus there wasn't a guarantee that the town would be saved. They could've been wrong about her time manipulation causing the tornado. She did first have a vision about it before even using her powers. Despite that I still sacrificed Chloe and made all my choices meaningless. It was a tough choice, but the right one to make after seeing all the people that died throughout the story come back to life.

Fix the dialogue in the first few episodes and this would have had potential to be my GOTY. I hope they make more, but not a direct sequel.

So far I've been lucky with Borderlands and haven't had that happen yet in episodes 1-4. I'm hoping that luck stays with me. The freezing made TWDS2 (X1) unplayable and S1 (360) really frustrating. Starting up Borderlands now.

The last choice was difficult as well. I see what you mean by the previous choices becoming irrelevant, but at the same time, it feels like Max finally understands the consequences of manipulating time. Her saving Chloe lead to the storms, there's no saying what could have happened. As for the Kate part, Nathan and Jefferson were both arrested so I'm assuming she wasn't bullied (at least as much) and wasn't driven to commit suicide. Regardless, I'm going to be picking up all the achievements for the episode before starting a new playthrough.

Also, I'd just like to say that I was happy for Warren when the "kiss" option came up. Poor guy had been chasing her for four episodes.

Like you said, I do hope they continue this. Not as a direct sequel, but maybe playing as someone else.

I thought it was more if she used the power at all the storms would come. Didn't think about that it could've just been the choice to save Chloe. The ending choice feels like a sacrifice that the player has to make. It felt personal. Something that I have yet to experience in a TT game. The biggest reason I like LiS over TT games is that most of the choices have more consequences than just one person dies and the other lives. TT games felt like that too until playing a 2nd time and seeing your choices don't actually change anything, so I'm hoping 2nd play through of LiS doesn't feel like that.

Syndicate review rolling in. Seems solid, mainly 8s. Praise for the two different characters, the setting and the new game mechanics. A bit "been there done that" feel and lack of co-op seem to be the downsides.

 
Pleasantly surprised by the positive Syndicate reviews. But unless that shit is $20 on Black Friday there is no way I am getting it until next year sometime.

I can't wait to put it into my endless AC backlog. Only finished them up to Brotherhood. I still have Revelations, AC3, its Vita spinoff in HD, Black Flag on both gens, Unity and Chronicles: China that I yet have to play basically, but that I did buy for whatever reason.

I'll wait for the inevitable price drops on Syndicate. Not like you're going to have to worry about MP servers being barren, after all. I will say that I LOVED ACIV and I liked Unity quite a bit - and never experienced any of the bugs or glitches that others bitched about.

I just figure with SW:BF and Tomb Raider already preordered digitally and notnhaving played Forza 6 as much as I should have, Syndicate will be cheap by the time in ready to play it.

The only thing I wasn't planning to buy was Halo 5 - and now that there is a CAG clan, I'm probably going to have to buy it. Damn you all to hell...

While this is obnoxious, Harmonix is without a doubt the classiest company I've ever dealt with, so I've no doubt these employees were acting on their own, and Harmonix has made a statement that this is the case and that the reviews are being removed or edited to make their source clear. Definitely an unfortunate incident, but at least they owned up to it and are trying to do the right thing.

I'll take RB4 any day over having to pay again and again to play the same songs in Guitar Hero.

Yeah the only Creed game I bought right away was the first one, and that was due to the massive hype and that the dummies at Walmart sold it to me two weeks early.
 
Honestly I'd compare AC to Star Fox Adventures or Banjo and Kazooie these days. Some of the articles surrounding Syndicate are weird though, like the one that mentions a writer complaining that the game was not progressive enough.

This seems like it'll be way harder to everything unlike the emblems/armors of Halo 4.. and I dumped way too much money in that pursuit to begin with (especially for that FOTUS code). Felt like a dope when the GOTY included everything.

Very happy with it from a story perspective. I chose the "needs of the one" ending (being very vague here to avoid spoiler potential) and I was satisfied with it. Not super fond of the stealth sections but overall it was a good episode.

However, one of the achievements glitched for me, there's no fix or workaround, and it took the completion away from me. So, feeling pretty peeved and disappointed about that.

I don't know if they're the "classiest company I've ever dealt with" but they definitely seem to be pretty decent humans and I won't really hold this against them. It's not like they're the only people to ever do it, they were just sloppy enough to get caught. Really no reason not to buy the game over this news. If you're not buying it for OTHER reasons, well, I can see your side of it for sure. I'm about as diehard Rock Band slappy as you can get, and even I haven't bought 4 yet.

 
Was just in the store to put up displays for Guitar Hero in Walmart, and now it's available for grabs
