I just recently went through redownloading ALL my digital stuff after doing a 320gb to 500gb upgrade. Go to the Xbox website and login, and then use these two URL's to manage your queue and your download history:

You can have up to I think 30 things in your queue. Note that you can sort by "types" of content on the left side to make it easier. Anything listed as "Unknown Title" is Xbox One content that is on your purchase history but can not be queued. Sometimes the names of the content on the list are a little vague, but when you add them to the queue it'll say "You've added such and such content for the game blah blah to the queue" so that helps you know what it was. If you try to click the item title itself, it may take you to a "Page is missing" error. That means the content is not actually listed on the store and is probably something that you got as exclusive DLC content such as collector's edition or pre-order bonuses. Stuff that is not visible on the store at all since it can't be purchased.

I had a little trouble getting my 360 to actually start downloading stuff. What I did was, turn it on and make sure it displays on my TV, and then unplug the HDMI cable so my TV would swap back to my Xbox One input. It seems the 360 would not start downloading unless it properly synced with a display via HDMI. It was rather odd. From there, I'd sit with my tablet on those two pages and would add more stuff to as items completed downloading. It took me about 4 days to get through everything.

I remember we had a discussion about this a few weeks ago. They already made an official statement a long time ago that they will phase out the 360 in 2016. When in 2016, no one knows. Means NO MORE NEW GAMES. If there aren't any new games being made, how long do you think before people will have to upgrade or settle in with next gen, I mean what use will it have but to play older titles, and if MS allows offline play for digital games after they axe support. So they made 2tb support for the 360 so what, its just some software update stuff like they do every month.

I remember reading a while back about a guy who had just started playing wsop, and spent $60 or something for in game stuff for wsop, right before they shut down servers for it. Square is shutting down FF online in March 2016.

There will prob be another X1 price drop next year, prob somewhere around $300, then you can prob pick one up used for $200-$250. 360 will be no more and it will be inescapable. You can cling on to whatever time you have left, by hoping a company such as MS won't piss a lot of people off, and will extend an X amount of time for 360 live to go on, but as stated by Microsoft 2016 is it. How many iphone/ipad users complained whenever apple drops ios support for older models? Yet, apple is still selling phones.

MS will tell you to go buy an xbox one.

I'll bite, where's the link that says the 360 will be phased out? Just because new games stop being made for the console, doesn't mean they'll kill support. Especially if the digital games are selling, they will be making a profit.

2016?!    So many games in the backlog, so little time.  

I already deleted Ass Creed 2 and Bioshock Infinite just so I had space to check out Gears of War Judgement and Max: Curse of the Brotherhood.

 
Online game servers will probably shut down long before they end support because many of those are not run specifically by Microsoft and the companies running those servers aren't gonna leave them up if only 1,000 ppl are logging in each week. With the way things are on Xbox one I wouldn't be surprised if they just let 360 games be downloaded off the same servers that Xbox one games are hosted on.

I agree that new games will probably stop coming out in 2016-2017 but that will be because the Xbox one has a bigger install base by then so they would move to the newer system like developers always do. Doesn't mean that you won't be able to download existing games though.
 
Everything dies, even consoles, so just enjoy life and stop worrying about things you can't control.

Is KoF XIII worth $15 or should I just pick up an older cheaper version for my SNK fix?

I don't think anyone is arguing that it will eventually shut down. We're saying the chance of it shutting down in 2016 is very slim. If you want to base it off game servers, publishers like EA constantly shut down their servers for older sports games, but even then, usually the last 4-5 titles maintain online capabilities for a while. And the new Microsoft is making some great decisions, not just with the Xbox brand, they aren't going to want to face a PR backlash by shutting down Live servers anytime soon for a console that has sold over 80 million.

Picked up The Golf Club. It should be getting an update in May that will add a career mode. I think the update will be $10, not sure if that is conclusive or not.

What space? thats the whole point. My hard drive has been full since roughly the 3rd year Xbox 360 was on the market. the only space I had available was from buying new flash sticks and once you add the cost of those in, those sales aren't nearly as good. So I never purchased on demand games as I just didn't have the space for them and again buying a flash stick basically doubled the cost of the game. At that point, I would rather just buy the physical copy for a little bi more money and not have to worry about any space issues at all, which is basically what I have done since my hard drive filled up. I still have like 10 games from Games with Gold in my download que as there is just no room for them.

Now that they are allowing external HD's, which should have been done from the beginning, I can get rid of all my flash sticks and can take advantage of those sales now. the funny thing is, MS was losing money by not offering external HD support as there were tons of purchases I would have made had I not had a full hard drive, on both the games and tv/movie side. As soon as my hard drive filled up, my overall purchasing dropped significantly.

I agree. Xbox Live for 360 isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I expect at least another 2 years. When they stop selling the hardware, then people should start the countdown.

I picked up Boom Ball and really regret it. Maybe I just suck at the game but it takes me forever to hit all the blocks in each level. Was lucky to get 1 silver medal out of 5 levels. Probably the worst Kinect game I've played on X1.

I just checked IMDb and am disappointed that there actually is no movie called "The Supplier." I just expected there to be at least one movie called that, especially a shitty documentary of some sort.

 
Just a little note...my 320GB HDD is completely full as of now, so I added a 1TB external drive for my 360, I'm far from done, going through my download history, but I can say that I used almost the same amount of storage as of now on my 1TB drive. (Still plenty of space left, but seriously this update should have been there a long time ago..)

I'm in the Xbox One preview program now, but apparently that didn't help me get an invite into the Xbox 360 preview program.  ....Maybe its because I'm still rockin' one of the older 360 models.  I would update to the latest model - 2013's Xbox 360 Slim E - if I was invited and could find a good deal on a brand new E.

Can anyone point me to the cheapest possible 1tb or 2tb external hd that will work with the 360 after we get this update? I know zilch about external hd's, or hd's in general, so help finding the cheapest way to go would be a help.

I have a guy who sells me new external hdd's, usually wd my passports, and I turn around and sell them on ebay pretty cheap, but Im all sold out and don't know when Ill get anymore in.

Amazon or eBay, you'll prob find the best deal. Western Digital Mypassports or Toshiba Canvios are popular, and ones that are usb powered instead of one with an ac adapter.

BTW why are you guys all redownloading digital games? Can't you copy games from the 360 hdd to an external? If not what a shitty update.

I have a guy who sells me new external hdd's, usually wd my passports, and I turn around and sell them on ebay pretty cheap, but Im all sold out and don't know when Ill get anymore in.

Amazon or eBay, you'll prob find the best deal. Western Digital Mypassports or Toshiba Canvios are popular, and ones that are usb powered instead of one with an ac adapter.

BTW why are you guys all redownloading digital games? Can't you copy games from the 360 hdd to an external? If not what a shitty update.

They updated the xbox to allow 2tb

you have to format it again hence the redownloading
