Oh, cool, I might actually use my 360 now that I can download more games on it. Haven't bothered with it since they upgraded sectors to 320 and said OMGZ LUK @ DA SPAYCE.

This Seagate 2TB with McAfee Multi-Access bundle might be the best deal for $40 AR. It's $100 OOP and you get $60 back on a gift card in about 5 weeks. They usually have better deals than this, but right now that's the best. I imagine you can take apart the external enclosure and attach the HDD into your system to save on space. McAfee requires you to set auto-renew to "on" and print out the verification e-mail and send it in with the rebate form, then keep auto-renew on until you get the gift card and spend it, at least. They want you to have it on for 10 out of the 12 months of your subscription, which a lot of people have issues with. Honestly, it's incredibly simple, and if you aren't competent enough to keep track of when it expires you should just give up adulthood altogether.

 
Sounds like a pain in the ass when we can just wait for a sale on a no-strings-attached HDD. We've all been surviving without this update so what's the rush? Especially just to wait 5 weeks for not cash.

Anyways, I think I'll probably only get one terabyte. Going to have to crunch the numbers for actual space needed for what I already own and see how much it leaves me. Is their a giant list of download sizes anyone knows about? As much as I own I might still be stuck with getting two. I'm guessing all the GWG so far really adds up.

I just cobbled together a 320 gig external for my Wii U from a dead PS3 for $10, and I don't think I'll need to worry about it ever. Might as well not spend the money if you don't NEED all the space.

Well, actually you can copy stuff from your 360 to the external drive...but the thing is...the stuff I download wasn't on the 360's drive in the first place, my 360 ran out of space a long time ago, so all the things I download are games I never could download because of my full hdd and games and dlc I completed once and then deleted it off my harddrive to make at least some space for more new games and dlc.

I had to do this earlier this year to pick up a flashdrive. I don't see how they can possibly penalize you if you turn off auto-renewal before 10 months. I've already used up the gift card, so I will be cancelling soon.

Yeah, I wasn't really clear on that. It's a prepaid cash card, Amex if I remember correctly. I used mine to buy groceries instead of using cash, so it works out to be a deal in the end.

2TB external for $40 is one of the best deals you're gonna find on HDDs for a long time, even if it is Seagate. Their prices usually hover around $70 on Black Friday.

I watched a few online videos and it appeared to be a platform where you control two separate characters simultaneously and it involved a lot of trial and error. That automatically turned me off.

Was watching Major Nelson stream it when it first came out. Looks like a lot of fun, but gets difficult quickly. Co-op looks a lot more fun, but is only local :(

Project Spark had another GameJam. Lots of great games were made. Sadly Twitch only saved one of the broadcasts so I couldn't make a video of my favorite one this weekend (Tetris First Person Puzzle Platformer). I'll try again next weekend.

Since getting 2 codes from Bing Rewards for the price of one, my account has been messed up. Not getting anymore points now. I'm thinking it will be broke until I get another 290 points to pay for the extra code I was sent.

decided to fire up Super TIME Force after having it in my backlog since it was free a few months ago. With the title update, I thought I'd give the game a shot and pick up a few achievements, since I'm just killing time until Mortal Kombat comes out. This shit is fun. It looks really confusing but once you get the hang of the rewind-time mechanic, the game opens up and can turn into all-out chaos. I was debating on ever playing it at all because of the throwback graphics (a lot of games that do this and I feel like they're just pandering to my generation but I digress) but I'm glad I did.

Personally the movement in those games makes me queasy sometimes and I am usually not sensitive to that stuff. It seems like they are not bad bullet hell games if you like that.

Once you get to 1 terabyte with external hard drives, each additional terabyte is only around $20. If someone is going to buy a 1 terabyte, they might as well just spend the extra $20 and get a 2 terabyte, just to give you a little extra space. Or one could always go for the best value and buy a 4 or 5 terabyte model and just create a 2 terabyte partition and use the other 3 terabyte's for other things. thats what I think I am going to do as I purchased a bunch of 5 tb drives during a sale at Cost Co. a few months back for this upcoming photography season. that would save me from having to spend any additonal money. t

The third game has more puzzles than the others in the series, but they are still a blast (literally) to play and still have many humorous moments.

Also keep in mind that as you progress through the game, you'll find different types of weapons which have different effects on how you can defeat enemies. For example, there's one point where you will get a gun that shoots cannonballs that you can use like a bowling ball to knock out rows of foes (knowing there can be dozens of screen at certain times, it can save a lot of time).

Depending on your difficulty setting, ammo can be sparse so having an assortment of weapons to choose from for a given situation adds to the replay value.

It might be worth going into your subscription settings on the 360 and checking to see if the preview registration is up to date. The EULA or disclosure agreement updated in the past few months and even if you are "on the list" per se, you would need to revisit that screen and accept the new terms before your 360s are valid for preview updates.

Haha...I wouldve bought the expansion pass but my coworker told me that he can't play the expansion stuff (he got the LE so he already paid for the expansion) yet coz he is stuck at level 27. Then I realized that I'd never get past 20 myself and so even if I buy the damn thing, I'd never play it - like or dislike has nothing to do with it.

 
I don't think they're going to make us re-roll and re-level exotic weapons again. I seem to remember one of their weekly updates basically acknowledging that that was a bad idea and everyone hated it. At the least, if there is a new weapon upgrade mechanic, we won't have to re-level them from scratch.

I'm sorry, if he hates the game, then that's fine, but one can't get stuck at level 27, especially if he paid for the expansion. Earn enough marks (easy to do, just play strike playlist) and buy the armor from vendor to get to 31 then he can easily do all of the DLC stuff. He doesn't even need to do any raids to get to 31.

Yup, this is my understanding as well. Just in case though, I've been keeping duplicates of exotics so I can continue to use one while upgrading another to the new levels.

You can actually get to 32 without playing raids if you do Iron Banner stuff. Either way, there's no such thing as getting stuck until you are on the last level available and even then it's not overly difficult.

The game is horribly boring...

Same strikes over and over and over and over and over and over and over....get a new piece of gear.

Farm mats for said piece of gear over and over and over and over and over and over......

The only refreshing thing was the Multiplayer aspect.

Would rather waste $15 a month on FFXIV or go back to WoW for free since it's gold based subscription now o_O

(I got the Ghost edition for Destiny Day1...played 4 days playtime and never touched the new xpac's - fun for a while, but biggest waste of money ever spent on that Collector's Edition SAD PANDA)

I think you may have missed the fact that, for many, the value of video games is the fun you have while playing them and not the end result of accomplishing some level goal. If you maxed your armor and weapons and never had to level them again, what have you accomplished? In the end, all you have is a digital trophy that no one cares about.

I noticed you edited out the small script saying you have 3 level 32 characters. This, of course, is impossible if you haven't touched the expansion content. It causes me to question the validity of your opinion. I'm fine with someone not liking the game, but please only criticize it if you truly played it a decent amount.

 
Destiny was OK, but it wasn't worth spending much more of my life on after I put in about 75 hours with it. There were just too many other games that I felt better spending my time playing. I think I had a level 28 or 29 hunter, and I stopped well before the first DLC. Still, every time I see it on sale I think about buying it again, just because the shooting mechanics were so good and teamwork was enjoyable. If the season pass sees a reasonable sale, I might jump back in.

Destiny blows. Has nice graphics, and solid gameplay, but lack of story, content, the most ridiculous RBGesus, and year long exclusivity with important content when there's a lack of, kill this game. That said, it has an amazing grasp on my balls and I can't stop playing. Which blows cause I have a HUGE backlog.

Anyway, on topic. Should I buy the Far Cry 4 Season Pass? I have yet to touch the game, BEEN WANTING TO FOR FOREVER, but do you think it'll get another price drop by the time I DO play? Thanks.

Whew. I just checked and the Lara Croft bundle is still live. Guess that was a weekly deal though.

Was kind of hoping to see what's on sale tonight and if there's nothing good, I'd pick it up.

What is it about CAG that makes me feel like I have to buy something every week? Aren't I supposed to be saving money?

EDIT: Just remembered that I never even finished Guardian of Light. What the hell is wrong with me?

I want to say that Zuma Revenge is like digital crack. Everyone should buy that game on 360 before the sale ends tonight.

Edit: Unless it isn't on sale anymore. Then forget I said anything.

I must've got lucky. I turned my XBO on a little bit ago to see if it had finished everything I had downloading, and decided to check the store to see if the sales were still going (I'd been eyeing Risk but I heard so many bad things about it I couldn't quite pull the trigger). Knowing the sale was supposed to have ended yesterday, I ended up buying it anyway.

It isn't too bad, for the record. I did grow fond of Factions, though.

Same here. I started GoL when I bought it a few years ago (summer sale?). I restarted it Friday night and was enjoying it a lot. I decided to start playing again because I was thinking about buying the Temple of Osiris bundle while it's on sale.

I'm playing this through with a friend right now - really fun game. Trying to find all the skulls on the T-Rex level while it's trying to kill you was entertaining. :)
