Just finished the game. Spent 3+ hours (yes) on the final boss. The rogue class is pretty brutal to finish the game with lol. This is a copy/paste from my friend who asked about the game/told him I finished it last night.

Frame rate (one moment It's near 60fps, the next It's in the 20's), pacing, boss and other issues make it a below average game. I also had a lot of issues where the audio cut out, and I don't think combat was even as fluid as the souls games. There were some things I really enjoyed it but too many things I didn't. If you love Souls games then It's worth at least $15-$20, if you don't then It's wait for GWG. Hard to recommend even at $10 if you didn't like Souls games. I saw it has new game plus just like the souls games. You get new drops, harder enemies etc. Not sure how many ++++ you can go through like the Souls games.

I think the sequel could be amazing with the right tweaks/polish, but for now It's a high 6 for me. You REALLY have to enjoy the souls games to appreciate it. With Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne (if you own a PS4) around the corner It's a tough recommendation unless It's dirt cheap.

Yeah, Ori was not on my radar at all. I guess I have a slight memory of it from E3, but after checking out that trailer and a gameplay video, that's probably gonna be a day 1 purchase. Looks great.
 
Someday they're going to mark LA Noire down to $4.99, and then I'll finally buy it. Seems like every time it's been on sale its been at the sour $7.50 mark...

I got it day one and really had fun playing it. Cool story though the interrogations became tedious at times.
 
For those who have Dance Central: Spotlight and enjoy Borderlands, Nisha and Claptrap are now playable characters. Merely press X 5 times at the character select screen or Y 5 times instead to unlock them.

Same here. I'd love to rebuy it because I really enjoyed the game but don't want to pay $7.50. One day (hopefully) it will hit $5 and it shall be mine.

 
Question with Xbox rewards: so to get 1,000 points for playing a games with gold game for 10+ hours, how does it track your hours? If I just left it on my system running for 10 hours does that count? And you have 14 days from the release of the game with gold?

Wow, Ori wasn't anywhere near my radar, but now I want it.  I guess that's good because it means I have a very short wait.  I look forward to hunting for it in whatever dark, hidden hole the XB1 desktop hides it in this Wednesday.

I also find myself in the very unusual position of hoping for a Lego games sale this week like I usually roll my eyes over.  PSN had the Lego Batman 3 Season Pass half price last week - and it would be cool to see that pop up now that I'm in a position to use it having recently finished the game.

That's a pretty good deal for Revelations 2 since it's only $40. Tempted to do it but not sure if I want to pick it up day one. Already got it digitally and might wait for a price drop to get the physical.

And for hardline I'm a just get it at best buy, with gcu you save $12 and get that $10 Cert when preordering.

Totally agree. And I occasionally ranted to no one in particular in the last thread about it.

There were far more sales back when Microsoft Points were just some abstract thing. "4000 points for $40." Sounds a lot more innocuous than "$50 in Microsoft Money for $40." Its like the retailers got scared, or started paying attention to the point values or something....And the whole thing with taxes was neat, too. Some retailers charged taxes to buy the points, some didn't. And because MS didn't charge taxes, you could get some really great buys during the occasional Xbox Live Marketplace sale.

I like Microsoft points better because I didn't get taxed. As soon as they flipped over to what we have now, I started to get taxed. I was able to get exactly what I needed if I wanted to buy something. If I wanted 2 400 point games then I can just get 800 and afford it. Now If I want 2 $5 games (2 400 point games) I can't just get $10 because of the tax I need more.

PSA: With the switch to DST this past weekend, we might have to wait an extra hour to be disappointed tonight.  Midnight UTC is a little over an hour and a half away vs. half an hour.

I hit 31 after HOURS AND HOURS of grinding. I suggest playing crucible or doing vanguard stuff to get marks and buy vendor gear. Since VoG gear is useless now, just grind for marks, maybe get yourself and exotic and keep grinding away.

If you play Destiny and can even partially understand the 11 different currencies in that game then microsoft points should have been no problem.

I don't know what you're talking about. I see sales on MS points all the dang time these days. I even shrug when I see them at 10% off since they are 20% off so frequently.

Yep. The most you see now is usually 10% off.

I lucked out and got a $45+$5 pack for $24.99 (50%) tonight at BB because they had 20-30 of them stuck on a peg with a $24.99 price tag.

Worked out nice since I only had $7 or so left in my account.
