I don't get this at all. It was a Xbox One console exclusive and can be had for as little as $10 these days. That's another game they could make money off of for DLC. I haven't played in a while so not sure how the community is these days, but the Vault sure would be a way to pump up the number of players. Still don't care about naysayers, it is a blast to play...just too much else on my plate.

Otherwise, I completely agree. I consider EA Access and Best Buy's GCU at $30 a pop to be the best two gaming values around. Kind of ironic how EA and Best Buy were two companies I hated the most a few years ago (still kind of do, but these programs at least have redeemed them somewhat).
 
Hey, I have two completely off topic questions.

1. Whenever I turn on my xbox one, the screen comes up completely dark, I can barely see anything. I have to turn off the xbox then turn it back on again for it to be normal. I know it's not the TV, because the TV logo comes up bright and normal every time, no matter what. Anybody know what the deal is? It's not a huge deal, just an annoyance.


2. I have Kinect for xbone and it's worked great since I got it. Two weeks ago though, the power went out in our house for about an hour. It wasn't a surge or anything. A construction crew was doing work outside our neighborhood and cut a line or something. Anyways, the Kinect won't turn on at all now. I've unplugged it and plugged it back in, but I don't know what else to do. If I try to calibrate it with the xbox I get a message saying "please plug in your Kinect sensor". Any advice?

Wish I would have known the full details of this service earlier, although I've heard of it, I didn't bother to check it out. Since I don't play sports games, there's no incentive for me right now. I already own 3 of the only games I wanted to play in the vault which cost me around $30.

Would be great if they extended the service for 360. $4.99/mo is cheap as fuck.

The Xbox 360 wouldn't allow them to take the games back if you stopped subscribing, so it'll never happen because they're not that dumb.

Follow the directions for resetting your KKinect sensor's connection. If that doesn't work, you may need to send it in for repair/replacement. A while back my Kinect stopped working, tried everything including those instructions, but nothing worked. It was still under warranty, so I had to get it replaced. Recently it happened again, but luckily the instructions worked this time.

Lego Marvel was $5 although I don't seem to like it as much as I did Lego Batman 2. I don't know if I'm tired of Legos or the if there's just too much stuff on the screen.

So I have the achievement unlocked for getting all the terminals in Halo 2, but the achievement for the terminal on the 12th mission is still locked :/

 
OT but I finally finished Half-Life 2 and though I was not blown away until Episode 2 and just need need to say fuck you to Valve for never finishing their game. What a bitch way to leave the game hanging.

That Strider battle where you defend with the bombs via the Gravity Gun was really exciting. The episodes really seemed to distinguish themselves from the main game in the way they added situations and environments with action, rather than just feel like recycled areas or battles.

I imagine that if they continued on with the series and finding the Borealis the combination of the Portal Gun and Gravity Gun could've made for some outstanding combat and puzzle situations.

Yeah I will be honest that after playing the main game I was not super crazy about the game but they really seemed to be finding a nice combination of story, adventure and action in the Episodes. At first I did not care at all about a sequel but now I want one dammit. :)

Have you tried starting up the mission? I beat Halo 4 on Legendary back in December, and the achievements didn't unlock until I started up Halo 4 a couple of weeks ago.

 
It took me a while to warm up to Mafia 2. The story is a snooze and some of the gunfight sections can be a bit frustrating but overall I've had more fun then I expected to on my way to beating the game.  With only a handful of achievements to go I'd love to get the dlc if it was on sale too. 

As it stands at $20 it's a bit rich for my blood especially given it's age.  They should have put it on sale with the game like Square did  back with Sleeping dogs :(

I think we all wish that would happen more. I guess they're happy with whatever sales these sorts of old DLC generate as opposed to however many times more they would sell at 75% off (mostly to people who were never going to buy it anyway).

Platinum hits version has the dlc on disc. Find a used copy at GS, and rent it.

A Gears collection shouldn't have the same technical issues as MCC had since they are all 360 games that used the same LIVE servers, and not games that used different interfaces and servers mixed together. But yeah, if they do release them one at a time hopefully they aren't a full $60.

ahhh...now that you mention it, this is probably exactly why MS is doing a one-by-one release with Gears. MCC was so ambitious and complex that it ended up backfiring on them. Can't fuck up BOTH of their flagship franchises in the same manner.

Gears 2 had the most fun campaign imo. The ending was too sudden and anti-climactic though.

Getting around to playing Child of Light tonight and after about 30-45 minutes the game just starts getting great.  I think I am going to enjoy it.
