Sorry if this has been posted before, but here's a bit of Rock Band 4 news updates. Game is still scheduled to come out this year on X1/PS4

  • All existing Rock Band songs are getting harmony upgrades(this includes all dlc too)
  • Stage Kit support
  • Vocalist freeform melodies
  • Cymbal add-ons will be available to purchase at retailers if you didn't get them before
  • Will run at 60 fps in 1080p

Stage kit support is a nice surprise, mostly because my friend has two. I Can't wait to go blind playing Rock Band again!

 
I want to punch whoever thought the zoom in/zoom out feature in Terraria on Xbone was intuitive enough to not mention it in the fucking tutorial or in the "Help" section whatsoever. And the person who thought it was smart to have the default be zoomed all the way out so your character looks like a fucking speck.

Seriously had to YouTube how to do it, could not find out how to do it within the game at all besides the bottom left of the pause screen (was not my first instinct to look there, but to be fair, would anyone else have thought to look there?)

I know I probably seem overly mad, but that shit strained my eyes for an hour, man.

Microsoft could have added a better way to transfer games from one external to another much easier on :xb1:. Going through 80+ games individually to move is a pita, they need to add a way to move as many as you want at once in the future.

Wheres the name change option? I think they charge for that so i never bothered switching it but always meant to try to get my original XBL name back

I thought the same thing at first, but you'll probably want the camera zoomed out most of the time. Helps with finding ores, seeing enemies in advance, dodging boss attacks, etc.I only zoom in while building.

Agreed on Terraria's default zoom being silly. They actually forgot to have zoom in the Xbox One version initially and had to add it by patch later. I see the advantages of being more zoomed out than in, but depending on your distance from the screen it can be too hard to see that way.

For the gears remaster, I wouldn't mind if they charged $60 and bundled all 3 but released them gradually as they were ready. That way the whole community would be playing the same game for awhile. And then when gears 2 gets delayed too long because they're trying to make it not suck, they promise us a judgment remaster as free dlc like halo reach on MCC.

I agree, Gears 2 was fantastic until it moved into the end game. Unfortunately, that's the part where that most people hold onto since it was the last part they played. I think it started heading downhill about the time you fought that fish where you had to land a grenade in the perfect spot for it to let you go. Gears 1 and 3 are the opposite, a slow build to a great ending - the fight on the train against Raam and the fight against the queen on the bee were really cool. On the other hand, wasn't 2 a ride on a helicopter shooting some big blob thing? So anti-climatic.

It's so bad. It's like someone attempted to make a flat green cube at an angle, then roughly cut the XB1 image off the package and pasted it on (without adjusting for the angle), then just put some plain text on it.

Just to correct it, but they're adding ODST. 343i isn't adding Halo: Reach. It's probably easier to do ODST since Halo 3 is already an engine within the Master Chief Collection.

That part definitely was slow. It's the issue with big bosses and small soldiers. They have to compromise on the battle to make it effective, and the whole running into the mouth, blasting tentacles and tossing a grenade repeatedly was dull.

The game lost me with the Sire facility, as it just went on a tangent that was undeveloped, even in Gears of War 3. Though it did go back to the creepiness of the first game, it slowed the Campaign with no reward. I feel like the game had too many climaxes that it ruined the final part since it was so easy. Between the giant worm, the Centaur tank battle, the fish monster, the battle with Skorge and then the Brumak battle, the grandiose battles became overwhelming and actually took away from each other.

I've played the 3 Gears games already, but I dont really agree with this (obviously I dont disagree with the fact the game has been out 8 years, but the reasoning that this makes it okay), especially since they are re releasing Gears 1 and anyone who didnt have a 360 is likely to pick it up and play it. Its also not that difficult to place a spoiler tag on something like that. Not really a big deal, just seems like for others sake you may want to spoiler things like that in the future.

Seriously. I actually considered adding the spoiler tag, but come on - if you have the least bit of interest in Gears you know this crap, and it is a shooter, not a mystery drama. It is not like I mentioned the one thing that happened in one of the games that might actually surprise people. You fight the guys at the end of the game that you have been chasing the whole freaking game. For the one person that has never played Gears before and will pick it up for the first time in a remake I'm sorry for spoiling that you fight the main bad guy in the game at the end.


That's like being upset that someone tells you that the hero wins and the bad guys loses in a movie. Do people complain when someone mentions Darth Vader is Luke's father without a spoiler tag? There might be some kid that hasn't watched it yet after all ... :wall:

I'm expecting a COD DLC sale though, in 2 separate weeks they discounted the whole series, next step is map packs.

Also there are many DLCs that never even got a sale by now...(same for many Games...)

I'm not going to censor myself because of laziness of other people. Gears of War has been on both PC and Xbox 360 for years, and went free briefly to Gold members over a year ago. That they're doing a remaster/reissue/recharging/resomething enforces that the game sold well, and so the majority of gamers have played it, or have been afforded the opportunity to play it. That means that only the minority would have it spoiled.

3 years is more than enough time to play a game, read a book, see a movie, watch a show, hear an album, or experience any other media. After that point, it's not inconsiderate of me to freely talk about it, as I've been more than generous in letting people experience it. At that point it's laziness on those who haven't experienced it.

Like someone else said, knowing Darth Vader is Luke's father doesn't ruin the experience for you, and George Lucas even 'spoilered' his own movie by making the prequels. It's like saying a season of 24 is ruined because there's another season after it, so you know Jack Bauer lives. It's the loss of those who didn't experience it in the moment.

I understand what people are saying but it's ridiculous that we can't talk about it in an Xbox thread on this site. It went free during Games with Gold so you probably have a digital copy of it already. Why haven't you played it yet?
