Yeah, I bought SR4/GAT X1 earlier in the year new on ebay for around $27. Both great games, but, I have more than 1 unobtainable achievement for SR4 X1, I think it may be 2. Deep Silver don't give a fuck about our achievements. My SR3 achievement is still unobtainable. I was at their forums a few months ago, and even years after the release I seen a handful of people in just a day complain about that SR3 achievement. I joined in myself and noted I would think about how I do business with them in the future. DS never replied to that topic. They don't give a shit.

So sad. Not a single arcade game. Seriously, there's got to be games selling in the single digits weekly. Put them on sale dammit!

While the PSN sales haven't been much better, they still do tend to out at least a few smaller indie games on sale.

I hated Call of Duty on PS2 to the point where I couldn't finish it. Replayed the demo to Call of Duty Classic and Call of Duty 3 and it made me want to try the games again.

Call of Duty 2 looks great. Gameplay wise it's okay, but I felt like it was a prequel of sorts to what Infinity Ward can really do with a video game (that being Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare which I loved).

Destiny for $30 is decent. The time I had playing it was more enjoyable than Halo.

Dealing with Xbox Chat Support is the worst.

Tried to find out why I couldn't buy State of Decay: YOSE Day One Edition on the Xbox One and they kept telling me I need Gold to buy it as I need to have Gold to connect to Xbox Live. :wall:

Unless they've fixed the playlists, which they definitely haven't, there's no way to play the DLC maps due to the idiotic way they designed it. They even explained during a stream a few years back that legally they cannot change the UI setup, because of the way the VIP Pass is worded, so that they cannot mix the two playlists.

If you care about achievements, they did update them so that most can be done in private matches, but things like Golden Artifacts will require the VIP Pass, so you'd have to buy it anyway (I explain it better here). This is why I'd really encourage people to message Rod Fergusson and Larry Hyrb. People who see this on their dashboard and want to buy the additional content for the recent Game with Gold they're going to very disappointed. And people who have made this mistake previously have only be told by Xbox support to buy the VIP Pass, even though you're basically rebuying the same content for an additional unlock key.

If you're on other gaming sites, please alert people about this so they don't mistakenly buy this content.

With the potential Gears of War Re-something you'd figure they wouldn't want bad publicity or relations.

Call of Duty 2 was a fun game back when I played it years ago. Just know the multiplayer is vastly unlike the current design, if it's even accessable anymore. The most frustrating thing about it is the lack of throwing grenades back, though. Even before they implemented it in 3 forward, it was something I really was screaming for in my Veteran experience.

Is Ultratron as boring as it looks? I watched a gameplay vid and while I like the aesthetic, the gameplay just seems so slow and boring. Does it feel different with the controller in your hand?

It's not boring at all. Quite a fun and challenging twin-stick shooter. Plus local co-op! Whether you like that style of game or not, only you can say.

 
Sorry if this is common knowledge, but just as an FYI I was informed yesterday by Xbox rewards staff that offers do not stack. For example, currently the spend $160 dollars get 10,000 points does not stack with the MyVIP rebate. So if you are a level 5 MyVIP like me, for that $160 you only get a 6.25% rebate instead of the regular 10% rebate. Pretty crappy if you ask me.

I bought it near launch for full price and I loved it. Then hated it. Then loved it again after I finished it.

Easily my favorite platformer of the gen.

I also posted about it on GameFAQS in a thread. I can't think of where else to put it. Maybe Reddit or IGN? I don't have accounts there. IGN might be good since they have the traffic.

Xbox Rewards has two missions going on for buying recent Games on Demand. While it'll be terrible to pay those high prices for digital content, you may be able to combine the offers and get some rewards credit back. Check the prices on things and see if there's anyway you could 'keep' some of the credit you'd be losing in the next few weeks.

There's also a survey on the rewards page, but I can't get it to work.

According to that review, use of potions and tonics has been a lot more streamlined and combat is much more fluid. I loved witcher 2, but I didn't finish it either. Couldn't stop playing dark souls.
 
Just what I was afraid of with the transition to a giant open world....the main story suffers as a result. Just like Dragon Age Inquisition. I've always said I prefer smaller, condensed worlds like Mass Effect 1, KOTOR, Dragon Age Origins, etc since its so much easier to focus on the plot without sending the player on 105634577 fetch quests just to show them how big the game you created is. Ah well. Glad to hear the combat is much improved at least.

That said....I'm there on 5/19.

If you're using a consumer drive, change your underwear and stop worrying. If you're using a SSD in an enterprise environment, temperature may be an issue long-term, though we're just researching it for the moment.

I read the entire article. In fact, I linked the article for anyone else to read. What exactly did I say that would indicate I was trying to incite some sort of riot? This could be an issue. Not sure why you felt the need to be a dick.

How about the "This could be a nightmare." statement?

People should be backing up their data, regardless of their devices they use for their local storage. If we find that SSDs over time may have a heat-related issue with data retention, still doesn't change the fact about backing up your data.

It's so weird to me that they've just expunged the multiplayer from the series. I was under the impression it was fairly popular.

Great looking game though.

 
Assassins Creed looks very interesting. Although, can someone explain to me how the twins will work in regards to the animus? I mean how did the genes get passed down that the animus person is able to access both people?


...unless there was some freaky incest shit going down.
