At work, can't watch, don't understand what anyone is talking about. If you're in Xbox preview you can load up certain 360 games now or they're available to stream? Having zero 360 library does not help me but I'll send out invites when I get home.
 
I wonder if they are going to fix the host advantage in the Gears of War remaster. The best part about that game was owning the host team.

I hope they fix the Seriously achievement too, I never unlocked it even though I had like 18,000 kills.

How do we know if we're in the preview?  I think someone sent me an invite once but I don't know if it ever resulted in actually being entered into the preview program.  

Hopefully it did.  I'm already kind of bummed because life got in the way of participating in a different beta this weekend for an upcoming game.  (NDA).

 
Sony needs to deliver tonight or Microsoft is going to catch up and pull away now. Great game lineup, hololens and backwards compatibility is a huge deal for a lot of gamers.

Microsoft is taking community suggestions for the games they want to become BC first.

I wonder how much re-licensing this stuff becomes an issue if they're going to be selling them in the store for people to buy. It may have some of the same issues as on Vita where some games are compatible, but you can't buy them on the store. You have to go to another device to purchase and then move it over or redownload.

Edit: It seems that they will not be selling them on Xbox One. You have to either buy them on an Xbox 360, Xbox.com, or buy it physically.

Exactly. I cannot recall any other developer fixing and also compensating buyers. I do recall owning some broken games in my 30 plus years of gaming with zilch givin.

I would love to see a summer of arcade with cup head.

I'm think Marvel vs. Capcom games might have problems. Probably anything delisted. I want all Capcom games to work.
 
I just signed on my x1 while at lunch and I got a Gears beta code!! Now I see this ultimate rare compilation that is insane beyond all belief and Fallout 4 coming out this year and...and... fuck it, too much great stuff. I can't even remember the last time I was this excited about gaming!!!

Probably not. They had to do some work to make those old Xbox games compatible that eventually made them give up. This new thing sounds much easier and more dependent on licenses and approvals from the original pubs/devs.

I think this is the Xbox's best conference to date.  I was thrilled to see an indy showcase with the actual developers getting time to introduce their game.

Would be pretty sweet if they had an Xbox One Gears of War 4 bundle next year (complete with Gears skin).

If they cover enough of the games that we can pitch our old systems. That's the big if considering how they left out a pretty significant chunk last time they did BC and handled it in the same manner.

 
Why is everyone making a big deal out of backwards compatibility? Did anyone honestly play original Xbox games on 360, or PS1 games on PS2 or PS3? The majority of the titles are dirt cheap already, and do you really want to subject your newest, most expensive, most complex console to playing old games? The wear and tear from normal use wouldn't be worth it.
 
Xbox 360 has one of the biggest library, bigger than the original Xbox.  So having 360 BC on the Xbox One is huge!  Other companies actually have subscription fees so you could play your old games plus they have numerous "remakes" or "collection".  With BC, you don't need to pay anything, just pop in your disc or download your digital games and you're set, all free.  There's a bunch of games because of GwG games that I haven't played yet that's in my backlog, with BC, now I have a better chance on playing them.
