So I sent a preview invite for somebody here on the 5th of August. He added me as a friend this morning and I re-sent his invite. He got the message from XBL later on today accepting him in.


Either the invite from the 5th just took a long time to get to him or you DO have to be mutual friends in order for it to work.

Actually game related: is velocity 2X worth $20? At $10 I'd just go for it, but I can't justify $20 for a game I've never played, got mixed reviews and has no demo. It comes out next week, btw.

It's fun. It's worth $3 for sure. Some of the mechanics will be hard for a five year old. My son liked it but he was 11 when he played it.

My kids love it (8 & 5), although they just watch me play it. Every night we have been making some progress on the story, and they are super excited to keep going the next night.

All the current Surface Pro's are on sale right now (has been for the past few weeks). It's probably to clear up inventory for the rumoured Surface Pro 4 launch in October. So I assume the prices would go even lower once that launches.

Not even gonna lie, that looks solid. Sure, I wouldn't spend more than 5 bucks for it, but it looks like a good-looking, precise and fun platformer. Seen a lot of XBLA platformers that looked way more clunky than that.

 
That snoopy flying game on 360 was one of the top rated and best games on xbla. I wouldn't be ashamed to play this.

Not like Zumba.

I have to think they're not currently letting preview invites in or is restricting it heavily. People I've invited have yet to get in and currently seem to have a better chance of joining in when its released in November.

It would be for myself. I loved both Lego and Marvel as a child. However, I am a bit of a completionist but have limited gaming time these days and would probably become disappointed if the game felt like a long grind to completion without much variation.

Thoughts?

There's a lot of variety in it with so many Marvel characters. Each character presents unique capabilities and is incredibly fun. The story is cheesy, but tons of fun. I've never had such a good time trying to get all collectibles in a game before.

I'd suggest a demo. I always like the idea of Lego games, humor etc but then I play them and spend all that time picking up those damn cogs that it quickly bores me to not buy them.
