So I got a xbox one off amazon, it was a used assassins creed bundle, though in good shape other then the packaging. No DLC codes were included but I'm still able to download/install Assassin's Creed Unity, even though I don't remember it being a games with gold game, just Black Flag. When using the code on the same xbox one, does that mean it sticks with it? Just curious...

Just like the 360, there's also a console license. So even if the previous owner didn't leave their account on the box, if it's still their "home" xbox (which it likely is), then you have a console license on that console until the previous owner sets a new "home" xbox.

 
I stopped by my friendly neighborhood MS Store today and they had the Halo 5 :xb1: console on display.  I am definitely keeping my pre-order of that, VERY nice.

It was a couple pages back, but I don't think a KotOR remaster is unheard off. KotOR II just had a big modernization patch that even added controller support to the PC version, along with a new Linux version. KotOR 1 is just as broken on PC as 2 was.

Plus the Star Wars PS4 is coming with downloadable versions of Super Star Wars, Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars: Racer Revenge. Super Star Wars is a throwaway easy port that just needs an SNES emulator, but the other three games are all from the 6th gen like KotOR.

At the very least, we know Disney is being pretty open to updates and ports, more so than Lucasfilm really did. And they were willing to sell the rights for Grim Fandango to Double Fine so that's something. KotOR being one of the few old games that EA's studios actually did themselves is probably bonus for them too. "Here's this great and well loved game Bioware made before you younger players heard of them from Mass Effect and Dragon Age., buy it!".  And they've got TOR too, with its recent Revan focused expansion, even if TOR does shit on the first two games.

Realistically I don't expect Xbox Prime games to become backwards compatible. Sure it would be nice, but really think about the number of games people would really want from it. Now think about big games that have already had remasters or re-releases: Halo CE and 2, Fable, games included in Rare Replay, third party stuff like MGS2. And then we have to worry about third-party approval, which puts stuff like Panzer Dragoon Orta and Gun Valkyrie into question. Shenmue 2 would be another one, but that would definitely be held up by Sony with the current situation for 3 unless it was entirely Sega's call.

I know demand has to be lower too. Gamecube and PS2 have most of the loved games from the era: first-party stuff, JRPGs, Capcom stuff that didn't come to the western console. Xbox has a few first party games and a lot of "diamonds in the rough"-tier stuff. Unless the emulation can piggyback on the 360 (which it probably can't since Xbox emulation was pretty trash on 360 outside of a few games), or it takes little effort and money to create something similar, then it's probably not happening

wasn't really Obsidians fault though. Lucasarts pushed them to release the game by a very specific deadline and so much amazing endgame content was cut out. I'm sure you know the tale by now. One of gamings saddest stories.

 
You guys are making me nostalgic for original Xbox games. I never got rid of any of my games or my system, and I still have a backup Xbox just in case that one fails. Might have to play some Outrun 2006 this weekend.

Don't get your hopes up. I've been messaging them about it for months now and they told me it's a small isolated problem that only affects a few people which I told them was BS because they don't work for anybody. They said they'd look into it but they pretty much told me don't expect it to be fixed anytime soon, they don't know how to and are more worried about releasing the game on every platform possible to make more money. I have a hate/love relationship with FarSight. I love there pinballs but I hate the company.

There seems to be one guy on the PinballArcadeFans forum that's an employee and he keeps saying they're aware and working on it. If not, buying those those tables even on sale is pointless.

This weekend's free movie is Robot Overlords. Despite the generic title, the movie looks pretty good, at least from the trailer. It stars Gillian Anderson and Ben Kingsley. It's about robots becoming the overlords of humanity but it's not like Terminator where they just want to kill us all. They're more like humanity's strict and overbearing shepherds. I'm excited to watch it and it looks better than all of the free Xbox Video movies to date - a low bar admittedly.

Exactly! I mean it's 2015! How hard is it to have leaderboards. I use to be top 10 on most the tables then I took a break and came back for Season 3 but now I can't even figure out what scores to try to beat or goal towards. It's unacceptable for a game in 2015. They've responded to me in PMs on Facebook about 2 months ago saying they are working on it. Sadly I don't have much faith given their track record. It's sad because I love the product.

Not many reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, which is probably why I never heard of it, but does have a 60% rating. Might be decent enough to watch with the kids.
