As the Xbox one marketplace gets more and more saturated with indie titles I really hope it will cause more of the small ones to price around 1.99. I might buy that gun world one just to support the low pricing model. I hope they make a ton of money compared to all these phone games that come out at 9.99+

Gigantic is very different from Smite. Hard to compare them. Gigantic is much more new player friendly. Simple gameplay without much reading. Being designed for console, controls feel much smoother. If you're used to Smite already then that wouldn't be a big deal. Gigantic doesn't have mobs constantly attacking. You have to summon monsters at designated locations, kind of like towers.

Overall I like it more than Smite. Every time I played Smite it felt overwhelming and most matches disconnected or felt laggy. So far Gigantic has felt very smooth online, but not many people are playing as Smite so maybe it'll get worse closer to launch. With being so simple, anybody can jump in and have a good time without knowing much about the game.

I haven't seen any gameplay vids, but if that bmx game is anything like motocross madness I'll be all over it. I loved that game on 360. And I'll buy any game for $2, so that gun game is a definite. Thanks for the heads up!
 
So I am playing through Ground Zeroes right now.  While it is a good slice of MGS I was wondering if anyone can speak to how much different The Phantom Pain plays?  I assume you have a lot more gadgets and what not that makes the game "fun".  Ground Zeroes is cool for the first hour or so but now I am just grinding some achievements and it seems like the same thing over and over.

 
Phantom Pain has a lot more than GZ, GZ is just a tiny demo.  If you hate the stealth parts or the guns or the visuals you will not like PP though.  

There really isn't much of a reason to play GZ, none of the metal gear stories make any sense at all so its not like you will understand more playing GZ.  You get a cool person on your base if you do mission 3 or 4 in GZ (extract the valuable spy guy), but other than that the rest of the stuff is all meh, as far as importing into PP goes.  Nothing that will really make any difference at all past a few hours of playing.

On mobile, there is an echo. You dont get the same experience on desktop. I mean, does it not sound odd?

Played Castle Crashers for the first time today since supposedly I bought it on 360??? Played with a friend who really loves the game and has put in countless hours. Overrated, like ridiculously overrated. I see myself finishing it since it's not bad obviously, just extremely talked up and it didn't deliver for me. Maybe I had my expectations set too high.

It's fun. It's not gonna change anybody's world though. When it first came out, there were no other games like it on 360. Now the marketplace is filled with beat 'em ups and visual copycats.

I still think that game is solid and holds up well today but you could definitely argue that it was helped greatly by timing. As Tandjame said there was not much out that was similar on the Xbox at that time and that kind of fun co-op beat'em up had been dead for a long while. For me it was beyond perfect timing since it came out when I was in college and it became one of the go to games for my buddies and I in the dorms.

Talking with a friend about stuff I was doing in TPP while he was playing GZ. He thought I wasn't playing a Metal Gear game. GZ focuses on stealth. If you get spotted, you're almost always screwed if it is at the start of a mission. In TPP going in guns blazing is a strategy that works if you don't like stealth. Might be a bit tough at first, but with tanking gear it becomes easily doable. In TPP the AI is really dumb at times. I remember it being better in GZ, but I haven't played GZ since it came out so I could be wrong. I have a few TPP clips of enemies walking up to me, shining a flashlight on me, and then walk away because they didn't see me laying 2 steps from them. I'm only halfway through TPP, so maybe they get smarter later on. Their accuracy seems to have improved already.
 
Hmm. I was looking to buy Saw 1 and Saw 2 for my younger brother (a recent fan), but they seem to have disappeared off the marketplace. Have they been delisted? Can't see any post or announcement about this. Perhaps there are also other games that might have been delisted?

There are many games that are delisted off both XBL and PSN for various reasons and there is rarely any announcement or fanfare.

They should put more effort on at least announcing these games about to be gone. :( I just saw them last week (Saw 1 at $14.99 and Saw 2 at $19.99) and didn't have any Xbox credit to spare at the time, but I never thought I should have rushed it out.

In like all of these point to click games coming out recently. May pick up Book of Unwanted Tales 2. Wish I had more golden crisp codes to make that $20 less painful though. And gun story for $2 is a no brainer.
 
Do watch out for GunWorld as the Steam reviews trash the game. 2$ and 1000G is great and it's at least truly a honest price that will hopefully set a trend, but at the same time it was pretty bad on PC apparently. The Xbox One version is supposedly enhanced but there's a chance even those 2$ are too much, unless you have a desperate need to increase your collection and your gamerscore.

The first Elder Scrolls Online DLC (Imperial City) comes out tomorrow. It includes a mix of PvE and PvP content, but I think it is more focused on PvP. It will cost 2,500 crowns. $25 for 3,000 crowns is the cheapest pack that can get you enough crowns. For DLC $25 is a bit expensive, especially if you don't like to play PvP. To save some money, you can get a month of ESO Plus for $15 which gives you access to all DLC while you are a member, 1,500 crowns, and some other perks. If you only play the PvE content or don't like smaller close quarters focused PvP (currently battles in PvP are large and spread out), you should be able to finish it easily within a month and save yourself $10.

Personally I still have a ridiculous amount of content to play without any DLC (and close to 300 hours played), but I love PvP so I'll just be getting ESO Plus for a month to try it out. I don't know if I'll like the new PvP area. I mostly like PvP because of the large epic seige battles.

 
Do the demos update about the same time the sales go live on date night? Going to download NBA Live and was curious when I should look at it.

If it is true, I will give out a digital copy of :xb1: AC IV: Black Flag for free to a non-Gold member tonite, in celebration.

Whoa wtf, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 + 2 are back on the Marketplace! No DLC up though. But we just got a sale on two recently reinstated games (Deadpool and Shattered Dimensions) so maybe those will get a discount as well. If I can get MUA2 for $20 or less, that's a huge win considering it goes for like $35 or $40 most places, and if you want the version with DLC included you are looking at $80+.

Replay is a steal, no matter what price you get it at. $16 is sweet as hell, though.

Thanks for pointing this out. There wasn't a version of MUA2 with the DLC, though. Thankfully, I already have all of the DLC for it! Here's hoping this means these are going to be backwards compatible!

I bit on that unwanted tales game even though I don't know anything about the series. It's getting a retail release so I went with that so I can use gamers club. The pc release got great reviews.
