I'm kinda surprised at the hate for this sale. Do any retailers have good sales going right now, a week before BF? Even advertised BF deals that aren't the doorbusters are generally weak, on top of BF not being the best deals of the year anymore. Next weekend we should see some decent prices, but like others have said the best sale for xbox.com is the Countdown to the new year.

For anyone who's playing/enjoying Smite, they added a "Welcome Pack" in game that you can buy for $4, it's located under gems in the in-game store. You get Anubis, his stargazer skin, his voice pack, and 400 gems (400 gems normally is $8, so it's a deal for those alone).

I've put enough hours into the game that it's worth spending at least the $4 on, and figured I'd let other people know about this in case they didn't hear about it.

Agreed, except Borderlands has much more interesting story, characters, settings, etc. in comparison to Diablo.

 
Will grab RE6 when it's cheap to add to the coop backlog. Never finished it on 360.

Also surprised no hate on a 2ND MK seasons pass. When Evolve did that people freaked the fuck out (although to be fair, it seems the MK passes come with more stuff). Used to love the Spawn movie, and super violent cartoon on HBO so I'm excited to see him join MK. Trying to think of other good characters they could include.

This happens every year, people are either new to this or really believe this is going to be the year. But the reality is there are usually a few really good deals and the rest aren't worth even talking about.

That being said, I found the best digital deals from MS happened on Black Friday last year so I'm hopeful for what happens next week.

Borderlands and Diablo are two different birds. I just can't put them in the same ballpark. Yes they share some genre similarities but way off the radar from each other.

Well many of these games can be purchased for less from Best Buy next week. Unless you need digital, these deals are okay, not great.

 
That's the problem, these deals are lukewarm at best and it's a year round cycle.

Many of the 360 games that are BC are actually at great prices, but  I bought them years ago when they were on sale or free.

 
I anticipated as much, though up to 75% off sounds great it turned out same darn games as we get every week, RockStar, etc.  Hoped for something different, but no. it is a letdown  :???:

Everything I buy from xbox.com is 25% off from discount currency, that beats GCU 20% off. I also game share with my bro who plays a lot of the same games and occasionally chips in, so that makes most games b1g1. Not having to swap discs is just gravy.

Also, a lot of people don't have access to best buy or Meijer or frys or any other regional retailer.

I think the only problem with the pass(es) is the price. $30 is way too expensive for only 4 characters. The pass for MK9 was only $15 for the same amount. You can argue there's a little bit more value in the Kombat Pass because of the skins or whatever, but not anymore than an extra $5 tops. That would make both passes $30 or $40, as opposed to the $60 they cost now.

The problem with Evolve is not the amount of content in the pass, but the fact that so much of the game's content was DLC. MKX base game has plenty of content/characters without DLC, like MK9. $3.75 a character doesn't seem all that ridiculous, I suppose.

 
I'm guessing we'll never see Borderlands 2 as BC. I still hate the whole remastered edition crap. If I own the game, I just have trouble giving into a rebuy.

The only remastered games I've bought are games I didn't have to begin with.

I think the physical version of Trials Fusion comes with the season pass DLC, right? The digital version on sale doesn't, right? Seems to be the less to buy the disc version and get the season pass.

Thanks for bringing this up. Been playing since the alpha launched on XB1 and absolutely love it. Will be getting just for the gems cause I think I already have the Anubis stuff. This is a great game to play if people just take a few mins to learn it.

 
So got my Elite Controller from AWD and was setting it up and what not, and noticed the battery covers are changed. There's even a padding down the middle so you can't slide the new cover of your chargeable pack that has the connector on the outside. 

 
fuck that noise though, took my battery pack cover, broke the outsides off with pliers and shaved it down with a knife and boom. It fits perfect and the controller is fucking awesome.

Yes. I have two external drives hooked up to my Xbox One. One 500 GB I took out of my PS4 and bought and enclosure for and a 2TB western Digital.

Nice I expected I'd see Arkham Asylum cheap again soon. Got Arkham City in the GameStop 4 for $10 but really wanted to play in order.

I'm going to get the Borderlands Handsome Collection on BF at BB. Should I grab Borderlands 1 here to play first? I haven't played any of the Borderlands series but I keep seeing them compared to Diablo and Destiny both which I liked...

Yikes. I don't think I'm the only person who has made posts about the sad trend of all the remasters.

And, again, as I stated many times before the Dirt 3 thing was not just about online. It was about stopping MS and/or publishers from thinking they can just yank things from GwG. And our concerns were heard so it was a good thing IMO. If it had been some single player content, more people would have been bitching. It was just principle.

Just chill. I'm not even close to the most whiny poster on this forum.

I believe there's an "Install Trial" option on the game's page on Xbox One that is the full game, as it has the same file size as the full game.

Note that the season pass does not include the most recent dlc with the unicorns or whatever, which is included in the Awesome Max ed on sale.

Anyone tested goty/ultimate on disc dlc with BC yet? I have a couple I can try over the weekend (assuming those games are bc already).

My hope for a Thanksgiving miracle is that they put up the vanilla version of Destiny for ~$20 again so I can just buy that and go all digital with the game. I still kick myself for when the :360: version was $19.80 at the end of the Ultimate Summer of Games (or whatever) sale.

I have the FO3 GOTY disks and all I get DLC-wise is Broken Steel. I've asked in this post and the other BC-specific post if I'm the only one that happens to and all I get is crickets. Although I haven't plugged in the second disk to see if that affects anything. I doubt it will.

Sale list looks pretty awesome. Definitely have my eye on a few things.

Also found one of the new Xbox One chatpads at V-Stock for $35. I really want to buy one because of the weight it adds to the controller. It would also be good for naming guns in Fallout 4.
 
So I played through Arkham Asylum, am finishing up Arkham City now, and already own Arkham Knight. I was planning on skipping Arkham Origins entirely. Will I miss anything important, or should I pick it up?
