Apple didn't cut out the retailers. They created new markets where they can sell tons of crappy accessories and such for overly expensive prices. Retailers deal with iTunes for high margin pieces of plastic and wires.

 
As redonkalous said, blu-rays have been doing this for years and some even include a dvd version in addition to the digital version. 3 movies for the price of one. Retailers still sell Blu-ray products.

I don't think THPS5 was ever bad. Kind of in limbo between bad and meh. People that like previous games will probably put it more towards meh if they didn't encounter many glitches (like me). Others (like my friend) ran into glitches all the time. I was a little bit jelly because he was able to make a ton of ridiculous looking clips of him flying off his board for no reason.

I'd say the new stuff raises the value from $10 to $20

Because publishers want to sell as many copies of the game during Black Friday as they can to maximize what profit margin they can be had with each game, while they don't need to do that with the digital versions because they still profit from what sales they do get. Either way, they win and you lose.

You need to be in the same alliance. I'd pick either Aldmeri Dominion or Daggerfall Covenant. Ebonheart would probably make you never want to play the game again. I'm in Aldmeri. If you pick AD and would like a guild invite, let me know after you've made your character and are online. You can be in up to 5 different guilds.

You'll be able to play through all alliance areas anyways, so either one is good. I personally like starting with Aldmeri Dominion because they end with Daggerfall regions. Daggerfall has the best quests and I needed that to keep me from getting burnt out closer to end game. The only problem with starting Dominion is that their quests don't start getting interesting until Grahtwood (about level 20).
 
Dumb question, but does renting Mad Max: Fury Road as part of the $0.10 sale give you the Grizzlegrinda Hood Ornament?

Supposedly you get it by owning the movie or the Anthology on Xbox, but I'm curious as to whether or not renting is satisfactory for the requirements.

I bought Lifeless Planet for $16 at release. I really enjoyed it. I thought the use of the jet pack to jump around and explore was really cool. The story is ok but has a kind of B movie feel to me. Which isn't really a bad thing. For $10 I think it's worth it if you are going to play thru it right away. If not wait for a deeper discount which I'm sure it will see in the future.

Picked up the Wolfenstein bundle since that seems like a good price for both. Still contemplating a few other titles since I have a little credit left on account. Was hoping that some season passes I had my eye on would go on sale but I guess not this time.

There's no more deals, all the ones came out already. Major just updated the older list to add the new titles.
 
There's apparently a professional handball game that released.

My console is still giving me issues with staying connected. Tried a hard reset, have it unplugged now. I'm actually watching Twitch on my pc, this is annoying.

Other than everybody in Ebonheart being terrible people, their regions are not fun at all. Storylines and environments suck. I was so happy to reach Daggerfall after playing through Ebonheart. The first region of DC was better than all of EP.

Ah Black Friday weekend, where every day is Date Night.

After being disappointed by Amazon's Lightning Deals last night (and so far tonight too), I hope the full list of 360 games on sale doesn't disappoint.

:looks at list:

Call of Duty MW 2 -  Good deal but I have it on disc because I need the storage space.  Would rather see DLC on sale instead.

Counter Strike: GO -  I've never heard of this game. Is it worth buying?

Goat Simulator:  Would only buy this if it were free. Then again, it was free a while back and I didn't even bother so .... moving on.

Well at least I have a chance to get something as opposed to Amazon dropping out minutes after a deal is announced,  so I'm not totally bummed out by the updated list.  The early deals seem like the best with Ass Creed 3, Geometry Wars 3, and Halo 4 being my purchases for the week so I'll call this sale a win.

Yep. I sold mine earlier this year after two months of ownership (and two hours of actual playtime). If No Man's Sky lives up to the hype, I'll pick up another PS4 then.
