Well shit, in for all of them (Maybe not 6). Probably not on day one either. RE4 was my favorite Gamecube game, I have it on :360: but fuck that shit now. RE5 was amazing too, played it on launch and 1000'd that mofo in less than 5 days. Was so satisfying to beat it on Professional. Didn't play much of RE6 so IDK.

Also awesome that all the DLC is included too

I would not pre-order this based on the PC version. It's got some positive points but is really lacking in most areas compared to Dirt 3, especially in Dirt 3. Considering the PC version is supposed to be done you have to assume that for for now it's going to be lacking in the same areas.

SR2 is a worthy purchase. It may not be as good as or shittier than "3 and 4 combined times a million" but all three games are worth playing. I'm assuming you're aware that there's a pretty big shift in tone from 2 to 3

Heck, even the first SR isn't bad. Just doesn't hold up like the sequel. Play 'em in order if you haven't played any of them - not for story purposes, more for the gameplay that evolves a bit over each game.

Warning: HoF Showcase took me under 2 hours, prob closer to 1. Some of the challenges are weak, "pin to win" wins when a normal pin would get a kick out at 1. I don't recommend the pass for any more than $15 worth.

Haven't gotten to play this on PC yet. In what ways is it lacking?

 
I really enjoyed all the Saints Row games. I preferred the serious tone of the first two and was really disappointed after playing the third, but once it went GWG and I had an opportunity to run through co-op with a buddy I couldn't get over how fun it was. I went back and played through the first one last summer and it still held up in my eyes, though it might be because I'm a bit nostalgic. Would definitely buy SR4 if it had 4 player co-op, but I might hold off. Would love if they made these backward compatible at some point so I can get back into SR3.

I was the same way with 3 when it was announced, seeing how much they changed from the more serious tone of the first two games. But after putting some time into it, SR3 became my favorite.

I inserted the Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged compilation disc into my Xbox One and it installed Bejeweled 2, Hardwood Backgammon, and Geometry Wars Retro Evolved.

When I inserted the Xbox Live Arcade Game Pack disc into my Xbox One it installed Lumines: Live!

Finally when I installed Xbox Live Arcade Compilation Disc it installed Feeding Frenzy and Pac-Man Championship Edition.

Saint's Row is awesome, I just hope they can reign it in a little bit.  I never wanted a superhero game from the series.  I always just wanted a funnier GTA clone.  However the Saint's Row games are some of my favorite of last generation and here's why:

Saint's Row - Explosions! At the time I hadn't seen a more beautiful fireball.

Saint's Row 2 - I fondly remember stealing an armored tank like vehicle from the SWAT teams in the game and bringing it back to my garage in hopes that I may be able to save it for later use only to find out that I could save it and customize it.  When I realized I could put gigantic rims on that tank, I was sold.  I proceeded to pimp as many different cars as I could from there on out.  This moment will be the reason I will play any and all Saint's Row for the foreseeable future.

Saint's Row 3 - Sometimes it's the little things that matter and for me it was jumping through a car windshield. Why would I ever open a door, pull someone out, get in my self and drive away when I can kick the driver in the face and force them out, all in one fast motion.  Also this game was funny as hell.

Saint's Row 4 - Dubstep gun was my jam.

Seems like most others here liked the games too.  I wonder when we will get the next full game in the series?

 
I played the demo for Saints Row back in the day but never got around to playing any of the others.  I saw the $7.50 price point and I jumped on Saints Row IV.  

Needless to say I was very surprised that this was not a GTA ripoff like the demo of the first one was.

It's still fun, but it's not what I was expecting at all.

Saints 3 and 4 were some of my favorite games last gen, Gat Out of Hell was a lot of fun too. I am totally in the tank for Saints 5 whenever they announce it. Maybe we'll hear something at E3?

First, this will be the second DICE shooter in a row that I will pass (SW: Battlefront is the first). I've always hated shooters based on older wars (WW1, WW2, Vietnam). Yes, I'm among the few that hated CoD: WaW. Loved CoD4 and MW2. I just want a good present day shooter from DICE.

Second, they'd better not name this BF5 then. BF1915 or something similar would be acceptable.

Goshdarnit. Can't believe I have to wait a couple more years for another good Battlefield game...

In contrast, I feel like I have a glut of modern/near future FPSs and welcome a historical shooter that isn't based on the universal appeal of killing Nazis/zombies*.

WWI hasn't been done to death for a reason: the guns & vehicles by WWII were just so much better. That said, I'm hoping for some good dogfighting.

GTA and GTA 2 struggled with whether they were silly sandboxes or a gritty 3rd person games. SR 1 had the same problem. SR2 started to embrace the silly, and 3 and 4 just push the limits of how silly it can get. Meanwhile, GTA games focus on a more realistic setting but still easy to be a criminal.

TL;DR Your impressions were right on the money, SR is a silly version of GTA.


*Nazis and Zombies both represent soulless humanoids you are permitted to show no remorse for. You get the catharsis of hurting things that look like people with none of the guilt!

I completely agree with the ridiculous amount of near-future FPSs. On a rational level, I totally see the market demand for WW1/WW2 type games. There really hasn't been any major such FPS made in a while. But personally, I was so looking forward to a real next/current gen modern day-ish BF5. BF3 and BF4 were so good!

Different topic: for anyone else who downloaded the free GwG Knight Squad, they updated it with an easy mode which still lets you get all the achievements. I had given up on that game when it first came out because it was so crappy and frustrating. While I still think it's a horrible game, easy mode makes it more manageable and less frustrating. Just completed all the achievements for it. Now I can permanently delete this POS and hide it from my install list.

They kind of stopped aping GTA with Saints Row The Third and focused on doing their own dumb awesome thing that has kept them going with SRIV and Gat out of Hell.
