I've come to realize all the games I've bought on the old sales and specials app aren't carrying over to my BC lists. I had comix zone, and sonic 3 (sonic and knuckles) and neither are showing I've purchased them through Xbox 1

I was about to pull the trigger on that this morning. Sonething told me just a few to see if its just the dlc and not full game. I'm glad I waited. I couldn't figure out the controls from the preview and just deleted it. I'd probably never play it anyways

It was 25 bucks a few weeks back. Still angry at myself for not biting then but overall I'd say it's a great game once you get the controls down. When you first jump right into it there's no indication or anything on what you're supposed to do. The mission system is tricky to figure out sometimes but hey there are guides and youtube videos online explaining a lot of this. With a little patience you're gonna get hooked on this game. Plus hopefully Horizons is given out free eventually.

Turns out there are some Assassin's Creed games I haven't bought yet so this week's sales aren't so bad after all.

Picking up Ass Creed: Liberation and Ass Creed: Revelations. 

 
So I am going to say something very un-CAG. I would have been happy paying full price for Arkham Knight.  I feel better buying the season pass just because Rocksteady deserves it.

Well, might not have gotten the "deal" that I'd hoped with Elite Dangerous earlier, but I will still thank blinknot for getting me to buy it because just the arena mode is pretty fun.

I completely suck at it but still fun and the controls aren't quite as difficult as I remember them when playing the preview version long ago.

Only thing I wish for is a bot mode where I could practice more before making a fool of myself.

I honestly feel sorry for people that wind up buying the 1st episode for episodic games. They always wind up being given away for free, in the hopes that people will enjoy the game and wind up buying the remaining episodes. Patience is a vritue!!

No idea why you would feel sorry for people that purchase the 1st episode. It's only 5 bucks on average (tho Kings Quest was 10) and I get to enjoy the game months before the people waiting for it to be free. Paying such a small fee is worth it to me to be able to get that enjoyment earlier.

 
Yeah I don't mind shooting devs like Telltale and Dontnod a few bucks here and there. There's a high chance I'll end up liking whatever they put out anyway.

That said, I'm holding out on the Michonne series. I feel like it should've been $9.99 for all three, not $14.99. Especially since each episode is so short.

Do you honestly think you wind up enjoying the game any more than I do because you happened to play it a couple months before me? Trust me, all the games that I wait to go on sale for $19.99 or less, I wind up enjoying them just as much as the people paying $59.99 at launch. If anything, I would argue I enjoy them more since I know I paid a lot less than they did for the same gaming expereince. You act like I was sitting there just waiting for this game to go up for free, lol. I have such a massive backlog, I don't have to even think about new releases or new games on the market that I want to play. Trust me, when I finally sit down and play episode 1 for Kings Quest, I will enjoy it just as much as you did. In fact, when it comes to episodic games I VASTLY prefer to be able to play the episodes one after another. I don't enjoy having to wait long periods of time bewteen epsiodes, which is exactly why I waited for the entire series for Tales from the Borderlands to be released before playing it, even tho I purchased it during a sale when it was still on its 2nd episode.

Right, for some games that advice holds, but you completely miss out on peak community activity and discovery. You're also 6-8 months behind in any multiplayer progression, and people will have gotten bored enough to have lowbies with the best possible gear, so on all fronts you'll be faced with more experienced and better equipped adversaries. For MP at launch you deal with a ton of server issues, but that just adds to the anticipation of getting in and progressing. Even something offline like Fallout can give you that sense that you're the first one to figure something out during the first weeks.

If you've never experienced the magic of playing a game around release, I'd say your $10 here and there to add to a backlog you have little interest in is a waste compared to just spending $45 on a game you want to play while it's fresh.

The $53.99 is the full experience - that is the pass.

I enjoyed the first episode (Paris) and the training/intro missions (x2), but it wasn't a lot of content for $15 (imo). There are some online contracts modes (replaying the same levels with different targets/objectives) and you can make your own contracts...they're ok. If you love Hitman and don't want to wait till the physical release next year, go for it. Just know what you're getting first.

 
I'm the ultimate authority on games and will hereby be the person that everyone on CAG shuo come to when they buy a game so that I can properly allocate everyone's resources and purchase time for their own maximum enjoyment. Sorry it's come to this, but there are some users that think they have that authority, so I have to put my foot down.

The upgrade pack is only for those who buy the intro pack. It gives access to subsequent chapters for an overall price of $5 over the "complete" version. If you look at the xbox.com page for the full game, it's just a bundle that includes the intro and upgrade packs.

I think a lot of people that would buy Infinite Warfare would buy it to play Infinite Warfare, not to play Modern Warfare...

Or, put another way, I don't think a Modern Warfare game (remastered or otherwise) not having online play would hurt sales of Infinite Warfare much if at all.

What? You people are crazy if you think the COD4 remaster won't have online multiplayer. This is just like when Modern Warfare 2's special editions came with COD classic (remaster of the first COD). That had online multiplayer.  Plenty of people will buy this COD just to get COD4. I'm just curious if it will be on disc or a separate code. If I was them, I'd put it on the disc so people can't trade in their copy if they want to keep playing the fan favorite 4. Though I bet it will just be a code or a separate purchase if you don't get infinite like COD classic was. Like COD classic, I also bet it won't be included in the base edition and just the special editions.

Are we even sure "Final" Fantasy is the appropriate translation?  I've always thought that it might've been "Ultimate" Fantasy, but the translaters used "Final" instead...
