Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

This site proves that I'm beneficial to my team but useless on my own. Pretty awesome!
Looking through that site ... The game has been out less than two weeks and people have 6 days of game time. That's averaging 12 hours a day for 2 weeks straight. Guess we can tell who lives in their mom's basement

Not everybody lives in there mom's basement, there are badasses out there that are retired living in a man cave. I myself am neither living in my mom's basement or a badass living in a man cave, but badass gamers with man caves exist damnit... i'm so jealous.

I'm getting really bored of the play of the game for Overwatch just being someone using the ult.
It does suck, especially if you're not playing a pure damage character. But it seems to favor triple kills or greater if one occurred and those happen most often on an ult. Maybe they'll keep tweaking it because it was neat the one time I saw it where it was a support and it said something about a shutdown play or something where they just made awesome happen.

finially finished quantum break, aside from a frustrating final boss the game was pretty good, luckily you can just load up the part of the game where you make a choice to get all those achievements without a second playthrough

No kidding. Apparently my first try was one hit on the boss from finishing and I glitched on a box and died. Then I got stuck on the second phase for a good half hour at least. So annoying.

I forgot to get the achievements and see the other side of the story before sending it off though.

Noticed MCC was 11 something on CDKeys a couple weeks ago so it's been that way for a while. Pretty damn good deal but I'm gonna chance it and wait until after E3 or closer to July to see if they offer it up as a GWG.
Dang, that's a great price! Picked it up, which means it will definitely be GWG soon. You're welcome.

Halo MCC key is $11.50 over at CDKeys.

I was strongly tempted, but I'm never really going to play it with Overwatch in my life. Also 68GB is a significant chunk of my 240gb external ssd just for some Halo 1 nostalgia.
Wow ... that "great" sale price a few weeks ago on XBL aint looking so hot now ... ouch

I hear you. I've had psoriasis my whole life, and I'm one of the lucky people that also has the bonus of psoriatic arthritis. When I was a kid, I'd have random flare-ups in my knees that nobody could figure out and for awhile my parents thought I was lying about it to get out of gym class. I'd be walking around, playing or whatever and all of a sudden I'd get a sharp pain in my knee for no reason and would have to limp around anywhere from a few hours to a day or two. Then, as quickly as it happens, it goes away. It doesn't seem to happen as often anymore, but when it does, it sucks...

Well, I work from home, so I'm with my kids all day long. Usually my 4-year-old is a handful, add an overly dramatic pre-teen to the mix and it's chaos.
My life exactly ... I mostly work from home with a very active 4 y/o and a preteen middle schooler. When the schoolbuses arrive in the early afternoon, it is complete chaos. I limped to the finish line as the school year ended, battered and bruised.

That is a great price for the code, almost as cheap as the cheapest disk sales I've seen.

Also, no hate but you need to get a bigger USB HDD (a spinny one). The difference in speed is negligible, you'll have much more space, and you won't be squandering the potential of that SSD (it begs to have a laptop's OS on it).
Okay. I went ahead and bought it. I had forgotten that the 500gb drive _inside my console_ is essentially empty... lol

There are a few work-from-home CAGs, huh? I also work from home and have kids, so I have a bit of mixed feelings about summer.

The main problem is that most of my kids' friends have parents who both work, so they're in daycare. Thus, my kids are either bored or arguing with one another for significant periods of time, lol. I can't just entertain them all day because I have work to do. When I was a kid, I was outside all summer long playing with other neighborhood kids. It's not like that anymore since parents are more paranoid than they used to be. I love spending time with my kids (it's the number one reason I've worked from home their entire lives), but I'm certainly not sad when school rolls around again in the fall.

Scrub. Spartan Strike is already a Windows Phone/Windows 8/10 game.

South Park: Stick of Truth has been on sale digitally (not long ago either). I still have a physical copy I need to get rid of.

Smash up potato chips and place on bottom of baking dish, layer tuna on top of that and season with salt and pepper, spread Campbell's cream of mushroom (undiluted) on top. Bake at 350 until warned through and browning on top. Serve with peas, personally I put them directly on the casserole once I serve it up.
I legit took a screenshot of this recipe.

I'm getting really bored of the play of the game for Overwatch just being someone using the ult.
I agree, most of the time, the ACTUAL play of the game doesn't even involve getting a kill. It could be someone keeping 3-4 people from escorting the payload or anything of that nature. However, something like that would be harder to judge and program rather than someone getting 4-5 kills with their ult. So i get WHY it is the way that it is but it would be cool to see ACTUAL plays, not just kills... end rant.

These sound great, hope you're right!

New updates coming soon for Xbox One and Windows 10.

Xbox One

  • Cortana on Xbox One: Cortana is coming to Preview in the U.S., U.K., France, Italy, Germany and Spain first, and gamers can expect the familiar Cortana experience found on other Windows 10 devices. Cortana voice commands on Xbox One will work with both headsets and Kinect. You’ll be able to use Cortana to find great new games, see what your friends are up to, start a party, accomplish common tasks, turn on your Xbox One if you’re using Kinect, and more. We’ll continue to build Cortana features over time and our vision is to use Cortana to help elevate your experience as your personal digital assistant for gaming. Just say “Hey Cortana” or launch the app to get started!
  • New Game Collection: We’re updating the Game Collection interface to make it faster and easier to find and launch the games you’re looking for. Now you’ll be able to see more of your Game Collection, quickly access your own ‘Ready to Install’ tab, and get more information about titles in your queue.
  • Facebook Friend Finder on Xbox One: Facebook Friend Finder is expanding from the Xbox app to Xbox One and is a great way to find and add your Facebook friends on Xbox. As more gamers link their Facebook and Xbox Live accounts, you’ll start seeing more suggestions for Facebook friends to add and game with on Xbox Live.
  • Improved sharing on Xbox One: We’ve made it easier to share your screenshots, GameDVR clips, and achievements on Xbox One. Gamers can now share their most epic clips and captures with the community in fewer steps.
Xbox app and Windows 10 gaming

  • Edit and share GameDVR clips on any video editor: Create that perfect gaming montage with your favorite video editor with clips you recorded on either Xbox One or your PC. Once you’re finished editing, you’ll be able to upload the clip back to Xbox Live through the Xbox app.
  • Updated GameDVR management: You can now manage your captures straight from your profile. This new destination allows you to share, start your own uploads, and see progress in the queue.
  • 60 fps game clip recording with the Game bar: Using the new “Very High” video quality setting in the Xbox app, you will be able to record your game clips in up to 60 frames per second (in addition to 30 frames per second) easily, all from the Game bar (Windows + G).
• Share to Twitter from Xbox app: In the Xbox app, you’ll be able to share game clips and screenshots from Xbox Live to Twitter through the sharing options on each capture.
  • Windows Game bar improved full-screen support: One of the most common requests we see for the Windows 10 GameDVR feature is the ability to use the Windows Game bar with more games running in full-screen.  We’ve added support for six additional games in full-screen mode with Windows game bar: League of Legends, World of Warcraft, DOTA 2, Battlefield 4, Counterstrike: Global Offensive, and Diablo III. With those games, you can now use Windows + G to bring up the Windows Game bar when the game is running full-screen.
Xbox One and Xbox app

  • Top PC games show up on Xbox Live: We’re bringing the top PC games like League of Legends and XCOM 2 together with the Xbox Live community. Meaning, your favorite PC games will have their own Game Hubs on Xbox Live. Whether you’re on your PC, Xbox, or mobile phone, you’ll be able to see what PC games your friends are playing, share your own PC gaming clips and screenshots with the community, and message your friends on Xbox Live. On both Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs, you‘ll also be able to party chat with your friends no matter what they’re doing.
  • Xbox and Windows Store convergence: We’re starting to combine the best of the Xbox Store and Windows Store to give gamers a single cohesive experience across their devices. On Xbox One, we’ve streamlined the shopping experience to help you find the games you love faster and at the best prices. You’ll be able to filter, browse and search results by genre, read reviews written by fellow gamers – including those voted “most helpful” by the Xbox Live community, easily recognize what titles are on sale with strikethrough pricing in lists, and more. We’ve also added several new channels to help you discover the content you love even faster. On the Windows Store, we’re adding support so gamers can browse and purchase bundles, episodic games, season passes, virtual currency and other game add-ons and DLC.
  • More personal Activity Feed: Being able to choose what’s posted to your Activity Feed across Xbox One and the Xbox app is a big fan-requested feature. With the new settings, you can now decide what will get automatically shared to your feed. You can now also craft the perfect Activity Feed posts. At the top of your Activity Feed, easily access and choose from recently unlocked achievements and captures, preview what your post would look like, and then share your greatest gaming moments.

Another neat thing coming is language preferences. Normally, you would only be able to use the language in your region. Now though, if you live in Sweden, you can use English, or Spanish in the US, for example. It's a nice addition for bilingual people.

Accountant here - the IRS code book is basically a clusterf*** of ignorance and stupidity. There are actually code sections that contradict themselves or completely overwrite other things. Also, did you know if you make illegal gains you're supposed to disclose that? Like let me just tell you all about my criminal activities so that I'm not going against the tax code :dunce:

Anyway you're all most likely breaking the law at some point. You deviants.
Sounds a bit like the Bible.

Can't wait.

- Playdead game 'Inside' finally gets release month of August.

- Huge wave of 20+ games unveiled for BC, available now. (Red Dead, Fable Anniv, Forza Horizon 1)
I wouldn't be mad at that for E3. Skyrim and Mass Effect are two remasters I could actually be bothered to play, if done well. Well, maybe Skyrim. Game is so huge and I still haven't gotten around to finishing the main quest, despite putting about 90 hours into it.

How are they STILL not giving us the option to view 360 games separately? It seems like such a simple thing to add. I assumed that was the #1 priority when I heard they were redesigning the game library, but it looks like all they did was make the icons smaller.

Finally we get Cortana!

I'm stoked for the new games tab, hopefully it supports folders or categories or some other way to group stuff together (doesn't look like it tho).

Recording at 60fps will be nice for when I'm using game clips to assess whether or not to buy a game.

Does this mean my activity feed might include more of my activity and less posts by majornelson?

Sharing to twitter and facebook friends omg! Now I just need facebook friends and twit followers.

  • Edit and share GameDVR clips on any video editor: Create that perfect gaming montage with your favorite video editor with clips you recorded on either Xbox One or your PC. Once you’re finished editing, you’ll be able to upload the clip back to Xbox Live through the Xbox app.
This really jumped out at me. I wonder what prevents people from inserting NSFW images, video, or text into their video clips. Right now, all content is restricted to what you can record via the DVR. If we can use any video editor, the possibilities are endless unless they have some sort of censor/content-review team or algorithm.

One feature I wish they would add is the ability to filter your Activity Feed just to your Favorites. I would like to know if a Favorite has posted a new clip; I don't really need to know about clips or achievements for the other 100+ people on my list.

Being about to use headset with Cortana is a great feature.

Sony's had this problem fixed from the start. I can't see any of my PS3 games anywhere on the PS4 dashboard.

Game folders would be great, especially for those of us who have extensive backlogs, which is...well, all of us.

I opted in, I'm ready for the update!

Good point. I'm bitching about my backwards compatible games clogging my library and I should be thankful I can play them at all.

But still, it would be very nice (and easy) for them to put in some filtering options. I'd like my 360 XBLA games, shitty instantly-regrettable XB1 indie game purchases, and new release XB1 retail games NOT lumped into the same category.

You could do what I do and install all 360 games on my internal drive and all XBO games on my external. Gives an easy way to filter.

Also, I found where blinknot got his predictions: http://www.gamepro.de/playstation/spiele/ps3/the-elder-scrolls-5-skyrim/news/the_elder_scrolls_5_skyrim,47280,3273614.html

New FIFA trailer incoming, PES 2017 announced last week, and EURO 2016 starts this Friday. What a time to be alive!

Don't forget Copa America, which due to me being in Europe is a pain in the ass to watch because of time zones. But there were already some really enjoyable matches so far, namely USA-Colombia and Mexico-Uruguay. Great times.

I'm superglueing my palm to my face for the rest of the day. Possibly until the end of E3.

I was really hoping BC would kill off the remaster fad. It didn't work.
