I almost bought the Forza 6 Nascar expansion earlier today, but this gave me enough reason to wait for that week of sales. Hopefully it is included, although I don't really expect it since it just came out a month ago.

Give the nascar expansion about 3 months for it to go on sale. I can wait as I'm so behind on FH2 and F6 DLC.

 
Anyone who is thinking about playing LEGO The Hobbit just a FYI.  When you get to free roam the breakable wall right behind you when the game starts contains a loot vending machine.  Did not figure that out until I was at 92% complete.  Spent way too much time running around trying to collect loot to complete quests.  It makes a big difference.

I did site to store preorder at gamestop when the watch blurb was still active. Let's just say I'll be calling the store to see if the watch is there before I bother even driving into town to get it.
 
Pac-Man 256's achievements are 100 points each, for those looking for quick and reasonably easy points.

For 5 bucks, game is fantastic. Liked it ok on the tablet, but it controls much better on console and winds up being more fun. Also no microtransaction bullshit in the console version.

Sorry to say, no one is getting the watch for now. Apparently, the watches got damaged in shipment. Apparently, they'll be selling a few separately at some convention or something. People who pre-ordered will get theirs shipped later.

I think it's safe as you can change your locale on the website and if this is a price error MS can just take the game back off you again.

I think the issue on the 360 was there was no easy way for them to revoke the game and changing your location back then was a bit more shady.

That's just my opinion of course, proceed at your own peril.

I'm pretty sure this would fall under the same circumstances as the Oman Wars, those were games that were free on their respective marketplaces. The only difference being that those games weren't officially out in those regions so you had to glitch your way to them more or less.

I don't think it's worth the risk, especially for some junk boardgame game.

MS is shutting down XBox Fitness. The Kinect abandoning continues!

By Kinect abandoning I mean look at the following...

1) The XBox S is not Kinect compatible without a adapter, and you have to get intouch with MS just to purchase one.

2) None of the XBox S bundles come with a Kinect

3) Cortana no longer requires the Kinect for voice commands.

4) Honestly there hasn't been any first party efforts for Kinect in forever. Only thing that rings a bell is that recent Kung Fu game that came out this week, developed by a indie studio.

Therefore, the decision has been made to scale back our support for Xbox Fitness over the next year, and we want to provide our users with a timeline of the changes you will see. I know one guy who uses this and/or the Nike one, I bet he'll be bummed. I'm all for them killing everything associated with Kinect and hope that it doesn't rise again, but it does seem shitty that they won't let people at least keep the workout stuff in an offline mode. This must work differently than stuff like Wii Fit I guess?

Still, I've got my free Wii Fit U from the Wii Mini apocalypse in case I ever want to exercise with games.

 
I don't use Xbox Fitness because I'm a lazy bastard, but that post makes me re-evaluate how much I use my Kinect 2.0.  I've never played games that require it (there isn't much room in front of the TV) so I've only really used the camera for redeeming codes or auto-loggin in to the console and I've only ever screamed at the Kinect to turn on/off or pause/play a show.

I've had a cover over the camera for months now so I don't use either of those features, and now that I can whisper into Cortana's ear about pausing/playing/joining a party/logging in using my headset, I think the only thing I will miss out on if I get rid of my Kinect is the ability to turn on the console with a simple scream.  But Cortana being in place has made just about everything voice related a chore, so maybe I can do without it altogether.

Time for a little digital soul searching...

In all seriousness It does kinda suck that you paid for the activities and even download them, but the service won't let you do anything after next year in June. I figured they would at least offer partial refunds.

I used xbox witness a few times till I moved my xbox to a different room and had no room for it, kinda lame to see the kinect continue to die, mine is also kinda broken and only work 1/4 the time, maybe its for the best they are killing it

 
WTF? Why would they just completely remove the app and any content people have purchased? Isn't that the very idea of robbery? If you paid for any of that stuff including P90X (which I almost bought a while back), why shouldn't you be able to enjoy that after they stop supporting Xbox Fitness? Really stupid idea if you ask me. If you no longer want to support the app fine, just make everything free and let us use whatever is there. Don't take away stuff people have paid for.

 
I wonder why they can't allow people to continue to use the app and the programs they already bought. Even if it lost some functionality due to not being able to connect to a server it'd take the sting away a little bit for the users.

Closed servers and to a lesser extent delisted content always sucks. It's a shame for the customers.

It's gotta be a license, royalties issue with the streaming. Same thing happened to the Sesame Street and Nat Geo Kinect games with streaming.

Hopefully Mass Effect 1's dlc "Pinnacle Station" is on sale for all those who ask. Me personally, I found it to be a rough bit of shooting challenges, this is for ME1 which wasn't necessarily shooter focused before EA started changing things up. When ME2 came out, PS became a definite turd and when ME3 rolled out....Made that bit of dlc look like a curdled up piece of dog shit that baked in the sun for weeks outside and no one had the decency to clean up. Not even worth it for the achievements.

Isn't this the kinda thing we used to worry about with digital games? The stuff they reassure us about all the time that they would never take away something we "own" digitally?
