Thanks, CT.  They did a Forza Horizon DLC car this way and for a while now they have had xbox live 2 day trial codes in a similar manner.  Will keep an eye out for these chip bags.

It was in the video game section of Walmart. There was a big ad display full of chips. I didn't see any of the specially marked bags in the chips aisle.

 
Man, what good timing on the Mass Effect 3 DLC discount! I just am getting around to beating it now, just put 24 hours in this past weekend. Still haven't finished lol. It's a real shame they didn't include the DLC in the trilogy set. Very stupid.

If you're playing through ME3 for the first time, I'd play all the DLC before finishing it, with the Citadel DLC being last, and then do the endgame mission to beat the game. Citadel is meant to be played before the final mission, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Also, play From Ashes ASAP. It gives you a new character, one of the most entertaining in the game. BS move to make it DLC, especially since it's on-disc, but it is what it is.

Thank you, I really appreciate that! I'm a big fan of the series and want to play through it the right way especially with as much flack as the third one's ending has gotten. I haven't had it spoiled yet so we'll see how that goes lol.

 
I already bought most of the ME2 mission packs and I've got ME3 for the Wii U, which has most of the DLC bundled with it. So this week is a pass for me. C'mon, Microsoft, what am I supposed to do with that $10 you gave me for the Fallout, uh, fallout?

Just be 100% positive that you have the free Extended Cut ending DLC installed. Most of the flack the ending(s) received was when the game first came out. I was fortunate enough to have that installed the first time I played through the game and I loved the ending. It makes a huge difference. There's also different endings, and one I think is absolutely perfect while the others are stupid. It depends on which one you get, I guess.

The Citadel DLC is possibly the best DLC I've played for any game ever. Once again though, I'd play it right before the final mission (you'll know when the final mission is next on your main quest, as it'll tell you to finish whatever you need to do before going past the point of no return). It's a nice, fun, often hilarious, lighthearted DLC. I guess it can be looked at as a "deleted scene" by playing it after you finish the game, some people do that, but I look at it as a neat distraction for the party members before the final mission. And make sure you download both parts. Part 2 is free but requires part 1 to play it. They split the DLC into two packs for filesize reasons.

Not to invalidate your experience but as a counterpoint, I don't remember my opinion changing based on the Extended Cut DLC at all. I played it with the original ending and again with the extended cut DLC. The endings were fundamentally flawed, adding some minor additions rather than major alterations did nothing for me.
In the end, Blue, Green or Red it was all the same boring ending with such minuscule differences as to be functionally identical.
Like I said, it was cool you enjoyed it and I'm not looking to debate the ending but I had wished it did anything to change my opinion but I'm one of the people that thinks the indoctrination theory was way more interesting.

Also do we honestly think that andromeda will come out Q1 2017? They showed zero gameplay at E3, I can't imagine it's even close to finished.

That's why I said I'm very fortunate that I played through it with the extended DLC installed. Had I played through it first without it, I think my opinion would be different. First impressions matter. It's like seeing a movie in theaters with a crappy ending, then watching the extended ending on the DVD when it comes out. The damage has been done already, and the extended ending feels more like a bonus feature than the REAL ending.

ENDING SPOILER SERIOUSLY DONT CLICK THIS IF YOU HAVENT BEATEN THE GAME OMG.

The red extended ending had it all. It was totally bittersweet. I loved the music. I love how we're introduced to an advanced society in the future with machines in the beginning of the series, and yet it all dwindled down to humanity being alone again (with the alien civilizations still of course). Sorta like the ending to Surrogates (which wasn't a very good movie, but the ending was effective). You could even look at it as a real life metaphor with a moral. I think the bit with Shepard at the very end was a bit far-fetched, but other than that, it was perfect and wrapped everything up nicely. All the other endings were stupid. Especially the synthesis ending. Holy fuck.

Mass Effect 3 is still dead to me. I was so bothered by that original ending I don't think anything could save it for me. It burned me out on the entire series when I finished it, and I was a HUGE fan. I refuse to ever buy any of the ME3 DLC, and I bought everything for 1 and 2. I still didn't like they extended endings either. They were less bad, but they didn't fix the major problems the original had. The rest of the game has some great moments, except for the Geth/Quarian resolution, but that ending keeps me from replaying it. Javik being paid, on-disc, day one DLC was one of the biggest loads of horseshit ever to grace the 7th gen too.

I'm cautiously looking forward to Andromeda, since Mac Walters can't ruin the new games storyline as it's basically a soft reboot, and Bioware seemed to finally get their shit together with Dragon Age Inquisition. Regardless, I'll consider the Indoctrination Theory to be canon forever, it's the only thing that makes the ending passable for me.

If only Marauder Shields had been able to complete his mission, he's the true hero of ME3.

I'm absolutely in love with Mass Effect in spite of its flaws. (Granted, I was also one of the lucky ones to play the extended cut ending first.) The fact that people still argue over which ending is best tells me they did something right, even if they didn't go about it well. While I do think it's oversimplifying to say it boils down to "pick a color", I think I would've preferred the original ending the writers were going for back when they were working on ME2.

It had something to do with the dark matter/energy stuff that Tali was investigating in ME2, which is then suspiciously never discussed again in ME3. The change of writers really screwed it all up. They were going to tie the Reapers to that, to sucking the energy out of stars and possibly causing supernovas to destroy entire systems, or something like that. I'll always wonder...

I absolutely agree about the Javik thing, though. It's been how long since that game was released? I'm still pissed that he wasn't included. A character so crucial to everything Shepard and co have been fighting for and discovering, only to being delegated to DLC, is almost insulting.

Looks like only one game I actually care about (Banner Saga 2). RSV2 is just too dated for my refined FPS tastes now and I played Tron like 4 years ago so I guess there are some achievements I can mop up if I get bored. Tumblestone is basically a time waster really.

I really enjoyed Tron Evolution it's not a perfect game but it was enjoyable to play and the multiplayer was fun. Hopefully people will start playing it online if it does become GWG.
 
He is listing the Games for the Ultimate Sale too, looks like the usual games, Microsoft published ones and lots we have seen in previous sales. Would be lovely if there is some surprises. Would gladly grab AC Syndicate for $20 digitally.

Edit- Nope that Tron game was terrible. It was Tron 2.0 that was really good and no one played.

Wrong. Very wrong. So wrong.

I've been waiting for that Tron game to go on sale. I used to own the LE version of it but traded it in because a local game store was paying more than it was worth. I've beaten it twice, got all the achievements, bought the DLC, etc. I even bought it on PC. It's a fun little beat-em-up parkour platformer with neat lightcycle levels, awesome multiplayer, and a soundtrack similar to the Daft Punk soundtrack in the movie.

Very excited. Slightly disappointed that the one Warriors game isn't GWG since I've never played a Dynasty Warriors game and I loved Ninety Nine Nights. No interest in Banner Saga or Vegas 2. No clue what Tumblestone is. But Tron is good enough for me considering Sunset Overdrive was the last GWG I cared about even remotely.

On a side note, this might be another sign of BC going further downhill. GWG was our one chance a month to get retail games added to BC, but now it seems like they're selecting existing BC games to make GWG.

EDIT: Just looked up Tumblestone and saw it's a falling block puzzle game. While I'm strongly against cheap mobile games cluttering the marketplace, I actually don't have any simple puzzle games in my Xbox One library yet. I'll play it.

Hell, everyone wants Dead Rising 3 and I'm still waiting for Dead Rising 2 content to go on sale. Just finished the main game and I want to play Case West and Off The Record before getting DR3.

 
The remastered Batman: Return to Arkham collection has been delayed. No new date was given.
Wouldn't be surprised if it gets canned altogether.
 
Is Titanfall on the One worth $5? I mean is the player base still there? Not asking for me, but a friend is a COD addict and when he stays over I was thinking this might be decent for him to play...

As someone who never played a single CoD, I used to own this and really enjoyed the actual gameplay. The "campaign" and its achievements are a complete travesty, but the gunplay and titans were a blast. As a testament to the gameplay, I've considered rebuying it, but with Destiny, Halo, and Battlefield I don't really have the space for another online FPS. Absolutely needs friends to make it the best experience, which I didn't have in the game, so that's something to be aware of.

Very depressing news. This was supposed to hold me down for August and September until Gears Of War and Mafia 3 came out. Now if it does even release, it'll be during the avalanche of Fall/Winter games.

The comparison trailer did this thing no favors. Hugo Stranges' beard looked like a velcro Santa Claus strap on in one shot, and the Arkham City version looked way superior. That shouldn't happen.
 
Hmm, I've honestly never played the ME series, and my backlog is ridiculous like everyone else. I'm tempted to jump on some of this DLC. Anyone have recommendations?
