The only things I'm thinking of getting from this list are Ryse: Legendary Edition, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY, and Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition, with the possible addition of either Mirror's Edge Catalyst or Fallout 4. I had hoped for better deals.

Sony won E3, fam. A ton of nice looking exclusives. God Of War 4 made my jaw drop into the Earth's core.

I wouldn't say they stole MS' soul though. Gears 4, Scalebound, Dead Rising 4, Recore, and the Scorpio announcement saved them.

Sony showed exclusives, they didnt show release dates. It'll be another E3 or two before you see those games.

I think its all relative to what excites you. I watched both conferences and thought MS was much better, but Sony did show some cool looking games too.

Sony had one of the best conferences that E3 has ever seen. Microsoft's was decent, but not even close in my opinion. Sony having a lot of announcements of far off games isn't really a negative to me, Microsoft is pretty terrible about this too. See: Fable Legends, Phantom Dust, Crackdown 3, Black Tusk's original IP.

To be fair the debate is more entertaining then the sales.

My 2 cents: Microsoft sees Windows 10 and XBox as the same in terms of exclusive games. You will be seeing very, very, very few games that are XBox One only from here on out. Surprised Raiden V is exclusive tbh.

Everybody wins except the console fanboys... and people who hate the Windows 10 store.

People have to realize more sales = more money. Microsoft has deeper pockets to spread their games to the Windows eco system since XBox sales are slowing. Sony is the leading console this generation and exclusives are big part of it. Also Sony's revenue is last I checked over 20% from PS software alone, so they need the PS to succeed where as MS does not. MS is exploring more avenues of revenue since they are second place and realize they have no chance passing the PS4 at this point till the Scorpio is out, and even that is a mid gen upgrade rather then a whole new system which is another topic to talk about down the road.

One thing people also forget is multi platform titles and marketing sell a lot of systems. Look at the top 10 in the NPD and tell me how many exclusives remain in the top ten for months straight. Sure, Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank charted but how long will they stay there? Call of Duty, Madden etc. are what really boost system sales with the proper marketing.

So many games that have been on sale recently, and at same prices.

Saw WWE 2K16 and Witcher 3 bundle and was going to get those, but I think both are same price in previous sale.

 
microsoft and sony take different approaches to E3, microsoft shows you stuff that is generally far along and coming out soon, sony announces shit that will get headlines, see shenmue 3

 
You know what we need instead of this crappy summer sale? A giant pinball FX sale again. I think the last one was before it was even available on XB1.

a good way through rise of the tomb raider and so far I highly recommend it, takes a bit to get into, have to accept that tons of shit you see you cant access yet and just remember to come back, the puzzles havent been as hard as I would have liked but the game is superb

Exactly what I was getting at. Until they start showing when those games will be released they can't "win" e3 .. Wouldn't be surprised to see a game or two shown disappear or slide to next generation. Wouldn't be the first time.

Can anybody tell me if the DLC is worth it? I don't care for cosmetics/upgrades, just story missions. It's an extra 20 for the Deluxe edition.

I played through the main game, no DLC. My understanding of the DLC is that the only real addition is the survival mode, which doesn't add much to the story. I loved the main game but I'm not willing to pay more for the survival mode.

Has nothing to do with me. It's an industry trade show that is the same as any other and is about buying headlines and buzz. No one remembers anything that was announced at the E3 where this gen was announced but everyone remembers Sony dropping the mic on MS and turning their own keynote on back them.

Everyone's a critic but I haven't seen many say what they wanted and at what price. I was hoping for cheaper AC Syndicate but it's $18 on Amazon so I'll just grab that one and Farcry Primal would have been nice too but I haven't played Far cry 4 yet so I'll grab that instead.

I still want to finish so many games that picking up 2 or 3 on this sale is perfect for me.
 
LOL now that the "remaster" is going to screw over backward compatibility on the Bioshock series they raised the price fo each game from $4.99 last time it was on sale to $10? WTF is that, the luster is kind of starting to wear off Phil Spencer.....

 
i dont blame people for bitching most of these are the same recycled sales we've had over and over and i remember a time a few years ago where 50% was the standard now it seems like alot more games are getting put up at 10%,25% and 33% off and its probably the reason i barely spend money digitally anymore.

As for the sale, I think I may grab Ryse, maybe Farcry 4, Oxenfree, Saints Row Metro Double Pack, Transformers ROTDS, Braid, Injustice.

Yeah I'm honestly only looking at Ryse right now, and probably Shadow of Mordor GOTY since it's a diff list of achievements, already got the Saint's Row and Metro stuff last time it was $7.50

 
While I'm not blown away by the sales, there definitely is stuff that us Europeans are getting at a lower than usual price. Fallout 4 at 50% is better than the physical deals around here, same goes for other Battleborn and others too. While not just part of the summer sale, I might grab Halo 5 after all, Warzone is fun now that I finally tried it out with the game being free, so I might pick that up. The Mega Man thingy for 9 Euros is good too, 6 games make it 1.50 each so there's that. The Crew Wild Run for 10 Euros is good, albeit I yet have to play The Crew properly, so I'll put some hours into it before I decide whether I want to spend money on the game - I tried the trial back in the day and it felt like a poor man's Forza Horizon, but I might like it more now, who knows. The price on The Evil Within is definitely solid too, though I already have at least 3 horror games sitting in my backlog so I'm not sure I need to add a fourth one. The price on Syndicate is good too, but again, backlog: I have tons of AC games in my list of things to beat, I can wait. Mirror's Edge is tempting but EA Access pretty much made me stop buying EA games - same for Unravel. As a personal recommendation, don't miss TrackMania for this price: it's one of the best arcade racing games around and it has a powerful editor too!

Well if we are basing it solely on headlines, then MS won this year. The majority of the headlines after this e3 were about Xbox S and Scorpio.
