I would risk buying it before your funds expire. I dont remember it ever being on sale since the last time I played it and the was i think 3 years ago. If I had $100 expiring in a month, I would probably buy lego avengers and jurassic world... I am addicted to the lego games and have been wanting to play them recently, only 2 I dont own are the 2 newest ones that I know will be on sale significantly at some point this year.

Shadows of the Damned has never been on sale on 360 in its almost 5 years of existence. It's only received MSRP drops (twice), and I don't imagine them going any lower. You might as well bite.

 
So I just watched Mad Max: Fury Road, I'm catching up on a bunch of movies - watching Hotel Transylvania - , so last night unwrapped Mad Max thinking it'd be a turd.

Yeah nah it's not as bad as some stated. Then again yeah I'm an explorer/collectible gamer. Lol, do see how much it's using the WB Batman formula though.

Loved the movie, not in love with the game, but it is fun to be in that MM universe.

I'm enjoying Mad Max (the game). It's way better than 99% of movie tie ins (Alien Isolation being the best IMO even if it has its haters). I honestly would have preferred a linear story for a MM game just because I think it would lend itself well to an action packed, set piece type of game. But it's fun enough and as an avid fan of all the movies, I too like being in the same universe.

I just rewatched Fury Road a few days ago and it actually was even better on a second viewing. Probably my second favorite after The Road Warrior.

^I'm def gonna watch Fury Road a second time. The special features were amazing. The amount of detail and hard work the entire crew did to pull off that film was insane. I google searched it and the budget was $150M lol. I'd bet if a gaming studio had anything close to that they'd be able to make a decent Mad Max game lol.
 
How playable is Far Cry 3 on the 360? When it came out I heard that there were performance issues. Are they bad enough to detract from the game? I'm not looking for 60FPS or anything like that, but in-game stuttering and massive slowdowns during firefights would be deal breakers.

I know it's a different type of game, but the first Mass Effect ran poorly on 360, and I didn't mind that too much. Well except for the long load times maybe.

I am not sure where you read that. I never recall having any issues except maybe some occasional slowdowns. It is not even close to a Mass Effect issue. Are you sure you are not thinking maybe FC 4 on the 360?

Edit: Did a little googling. I am surprised about the problems people were reporting. Personally I felt the game was fun and the performance did not detract from it at all.

Its not that long of a game if memory serves, but it is very fun! If you like other Suda games and Akira Yamaoka music, this is for you! $20 is well worth it!

I don't remember having any problems with it at all, and I 100%'ed the game. Certainly nothing on the level of Mass Effect 1.

I'd love to see how that game's reputation would do if it were released in the same state today. Freezing whenever autosave happens, framerate issues, constant texture pop-in issues, and other stuff would be on par with some of the bigger games of this gen. That it never got fixed is amazing.

 
While on the subject of the Xbox One taking too long to do things, has anyone had a problem with the controller power menu since the NXE update? When I hold the Xbox button on my controller, it vibrates, but then takes a good 15 seconds or longer before I get the power menu. I can't find ANYTHING on the problem from Google searching, except updating the controllers, which I've already done. It also makes no difference whether they're connected wired or wirelessly.

 
Just finished up playing Story Mode of LEGO: Green Lantern Batman 3.  It was really short compared to some other LEGO games but my goodness have they beefed up the HUB activities. Almost to the point where it could be overwhelming.  It is like the main game was for the kids and the HUB stuff was made for us adults.  I feel this is going to be a long 1000/1000 ride.

I felt the same way to where I didn't even 1000 it. It's one of the only lego games I haven't 1k'd. The whole Green Lantern feel didn't do anything for me either.

I actually 100%-ed Lego Batman 3 - including all of the DLC just last week (on PS4). It took a long time - I think my total play time for it was around 50ish hours, give or take. Green Lantern has always been my favorite DC superhero, so I really enjoyed this game.

But yeah, it would be tough if a similar game came out now and ran like ME1. Those texture pop-ins were pretty bad.

I'll go ahead and pick up FC3 then. Thanks for the input. Looks like my copies of Splinter Cell : Blacklist and Arkham City will remain unopened for the time being.

I never had any issues with FC3. It was amazing, start to finish. I need to do the co-op achievements for the full 1k, and that honestly felt like the weakest part of the game. Single player was quite awesome, despite the protagonist being a douchebag. I snagged Far Cry 4 because of this game. Primal won't do it for me though, the setting doesn't appeal to me at all.
