Clockwork Tales is probably the best $10 I spent in quite a time. If you play the trial and are a fan of mini-puzzles, you'd like the game a lot. The game looks short which is really a +ve, there can only be so many puzzles before you'd get vexed up with the whole process. Gist: short, sweet and relatively easy (without being too easy). I'm going to play the game on expert level right after I finish it at normal.

If the stupid update didnt kick me out abruptly, I'd still be playing it at this ungodly hour instead of gushing over it here. I was on a role too...stupid MS bastards!

Just buy the damn game - skip a lunch or two if you end up disliking it (that excess fat around the tummy area is not going to just magically melt away, you know...)

Whatever man. It's not the point. $2.50 a month is nothing for even the cheapest gamer. My friends come over and they sometimes bring their kids. My kids and them will want to play a local multiplayer game so with EA Access they have a big selection. Not to mention the early access to the new versions.

The point is, it's a great value for what you get. A lot of people have cable at $100+ per month, but you don't watch 70% of what you buy. That's a shitty value compared to EA Access.

I ended up buying a second copy of arkham knight yesterday during the best buy sale because it was such a good deal. I think I'll just end up giving it to a friend.


Also I tried playing all the way through level 22 last night so I could give you guys a review but I won't finish it. At first you think it's going to be really funny and original. But then the jokes never come and the gameplay goes from trial and error to error and error. It clearly was better suited for mobile. I don't recommend it.

I don't have cable either. And I'm not disputing it's a good deal for what it is. However, what it is isn't for me at the moment.

I actually bought EA Access last month during a NewEgg promo, so it's technically more like $2 a month with the discount. I'm just waiting for something more to my liking to pop up on there, or I'll just end up selling it.

So the funny thing is anyone trying to convince me how great of a deal Access is can move on and find something else to do since I already have it, just unredeemed.

Yeah not bad deal on Xbox 360's AC, Rogue but ahh it'll get lower.

Oh and a lot of those EA sports titles are decent prices but you can get 'em with ... EA Access.

Why buy EA Access at all if you don't like any of their games? It's not like they're going to do a 180 and start developing a whole new portfolio of games that are way different than the games they've been putting out.

 
Remember though theres the possibility of BC 360 games coming to EA Access as well, it's easily worth it for me because I want to play a lot of their games and the 10 hour early trials are great as well, plus I only really play Madden here and there for the sports stuff and this lets me do that without having to wait and pick up a cheap copy.

First of all, you are arguing about an opinion.

Second, you use appeal to common practice in your second comment about a lot of people having cable - so what if other people do something, that doesn't make it correct, or good, or bad, or anything besides common.

This guy has a different opinion than you about the value of EA Access, that's all.

 
So I decided to get cable again since Comcast was offering me an upgrade over my 25Mbps internet to 75Mbps + digital cable + free HBO for only $7 more than I am paying right now for internet only (for 12 months at least).  Any word on when the X1 is going to get DVR support? It seems like something that has dropped off the face of the earth but I swear they were targeting Feb or March sometime.

Edit: Well shit a quick Google reminded me this was for over the air only anyway.

Our X1 has had DVR (I think it's cloud storage) for a long time now. Maybe it's dependant on the location?

Weird question for anyone..I have a crapload of backlog games..does it make sense to add Arkham Knight at BB for $12 if I didnt like the first Batman Arkham game?

I've played arkham city for 5 mins and that $12 price is tempting me too, only thing holding me back is knowing I am buying RotTR and BO3 tomo once they both are $32 at Best Buy.

No. Gameplay is pretty much the same, except now the batmobile is shoehorned into everything and you have to deal with really boring vehicle fights.

Gah ever since I sold my release copy of Ryse I have been trying to get a cheap Legendary Edition digital copy for cheap. I assumed both it and DR3 would be easy to get my hands on but boy was I wrong. I love how us loyal customers who always have tons of years of Gold on our account are excluded from stuff like this.

I finished Oxenfree earlier today. Really cool story, great writing, excellent voice acting. Several touching moments, too. Moments that I didn't want to end, frankly. Considering how many of you guys mentioned Life is Strange as one of your GOTY's last year, I feel confident that you would enjoy Oxenfree for its story, too.

I don't really like open world games that much so it was really cool in arkham asylum while still having a lot of areas to explore but  have a linear path through the story, something you see less and less of

 
Man after some thought I really want an Elite controller now. Walmart has it in stock, but with the upcoming 50% bonus at GS, I think I'll have enough for an Elite controller plus a lot extra. If only it was in stock :'(

I got Ryse the other week from tru when they were selling it for 15. Very pretty to look at it but the entire game you're literally fighting the same 3 guys, right down to the character model.

Quick question: I'm tracking down all the alder letters and anomalies. I have to do that before I finish the game, right? Right now I'm at what I imagine is one of the last, if not THE last mission. Just wondering if I should proceed.

Wish Best Buy would start including Fallout 4 in these sales. $40 - GCU would hit the spot (of course, $30 - GCU would be even better but that'll be a while).
