Turns out I didn't have the Fallout: New Vegas DLC nor did I own the game digitally. Used some Bing points to cover the balance and I have 48 cents left in my account AND Bing points leftover.

Bravo, Microsoft.

 
Destiny is insanely addicting, So I preordered RoI yesterday , filed around 1700 hours IIRC, but there's one catch, don't play alone, it's just like overwatch , play alone and see yourself getting bored and screwed

I've thought about buying those engram squeeze things from the website and I was disappointed that there wasn't a CE for RoI. Now that I have someone to play with regularly (and I've started dabbling in playing with randoms) that game is so much fun.
 
I jumped on the Destiny train on january with the original LE (15€), then bought TTK digitally (it was like 25€ I think at the time), now I'm going for RoI d1 because the game is too addictive and fun with friends.

Took a week from when the had my info. Forget emailing them, just call 1-800-377-7655. Customer service will ask for your info and serial number and you'll have the goods in a week. Someone will have to be there to sign for the package, not sure why for such a cheap item. The mic is pretty damn good, and the adapter they send would cost you $25 in a store. Enjoy!
 
I bought the taken king legendary edition when meijer had that great deal for 10 dollars, played it a ton but its a game where once I stopped I felt like I could never go back to it, have no interest in jumping back in

 
Destiny was my drug of choice. I've stayed away for a while but I played a little pvp the other day and that has gotta be the best FPS pvp on Xbox. It's so easy to lose an hour or more on that game.

The pve content is very grindy and repetitive but it's easy to get addicted to that too.

I want to buy the new DLC but I don't know if I'll ever get back into it like I used to. I'll have to search my soul to see if I can tame that dragon without falling into the destiny trap again.

Yep, I actually bought that one like 3 weeks ago, was surprised to see them rebrand it with the X1 message. I'm assuming I bought it because Doom 4 was so good. Even though I've played Doom 3 before and know it's not on that level. Oh well.

I bought vanilla Destiny two months after launch, then bought the season pass a month later. Followed that up by buying the Taken King expansion by itself. Total spent around $110, stopped playing during Festival of the Lost last Halloween. Put 500 hours in, quit cold turkey, doubt Rise of Iron will win me back. My son never got into it, and I got tired of spending more time on LFG sites than actually playing.
 
Bought the Ghost Edition at launch, was all excited because Bungie and I love Halo, got bored of it before I even beat the story, sold the ghost figure for more then I paid for the game.

What story?

If you played one mission of the "story mode", you know as much about the game as someone who's played all the vanilla story missions.

Honestly, I think one of Bungie's biggest mistakes regarding this game was to include actual story information on the cards. Extra lore is fine but if I have to go do random things/visit hidden areas/collect random crap to get cards that I then have to log onto Bungie.net or the app to read, is very stupid.

A little sad the trade value of Halo 5 went back down to $12 at BB, should have made the trip last week when it was $25. Deadpool at $13.xx is tempting.

 
Dunno if this is the right thread to ask, but does anyone know if the S even improved on downloading/installing games? The OG model had an annoying tendency to hog the internet when it downloaded anything or just take a long ass time installing from disc. I tried looking into console reviews on that, but most of them were just raving on about 4K.

Wow I'm glad this game got a reprint. Prices were insane when it was announced for BC and was $30+ for a bit. I'm saving up my savings catcher $ for this one.

The XBox one S has 7% improved power that gives a few frames advantage in certain games. I've heard the O/S is a bit faster as well.

However, other performance wise it is the same. There is a SATA 3 port vs a SATA 2 port on the internal components but they used the same hard drive as previous. Your better off with a external hard drive in terms of install speed.

I did read that they improved the wireless chip in the controllers and inside the unit itself is Wireless AC, so you should no longer get controller disconnects and your wireless speed may be improved.

Damn, an improved internal HDD, on top of huge storage, would've been my only selling point. Wouldn't even have enough afterwards to shell out for an external. I just don't have the time or day to wait out on some 100GB update (okay, I'm exaggerating), but I guess that's more of an issue on my end with only being able to afford a decent 5MBP/s plan.

 
The Xbox one s has a different internal wireless which is supposedly considerably faster than the one, haven't noticed you big a difference though

Maybe someone will rip out the internal and replace it with a good SATA 3 drive and we might see differences.

I think MS will push one more Elite version of the console before the Scorpio since the S has a SATA 3 port. Maybe a real good solid state drive.

Actually my guess is the Scorpio is gonna be $500-$600 and come with a elite controller/solid state drive, trying to get the more hardcore buyers will making some extra $ on the hardware.

My internet is 40+ MBs so I don't have a issue with installing games and what not, except for the rare Games that are 40+ gigs and take forever to download. Since I'm 90%+ digital I also pre-order and pre-load a lot of games so the biggest bother is those damn day one patches which I'm not sure if you can "update" the game prior to release with the new update option on the X1.

Lol okay that makes sense. I decided to actually look at my download speed last week, and I was getting an average of 5-7 mbs, often dipping below 1. Luckily my system is close to my router, so I just connected a wire and I stopped monitoring when it was getting over 30mbps. My connection speed is 75mbps by the way

anyone know if the issue with resident evil 5 have been fixed, impulse purchased it at bestbuy today without googling to see all the issues it had at launch

What issue...? Bought it at launch and played through the whole campaign one time so far with a buddy online and didn't run into a single problem.

have read the local co-op has bugs regarding inventory as well as big framerate issues, cant play it till later tonight to confirm for myself but hopefully it has a patch when I install it

Ah dang that is no good! I played the local co-op like crazy on the original but have only played online on the X1 so far.. hah I guess that is a good thing for me then! : P

 
Anyone know of a good place to find replacement cover art online? Purchased a few games from Redbox and wanna print my own sleeves cause I have cases.

Already know of thecoverproject.com but that seems to be more geared to older stuff
