I've put in over 26+ hours into The Evil Within and never had any save glitches/and or sound issues, so It's probably just bad luck running into such things and/or maybe an issue with XBox One S? Not the system being bad itself, but maybe because the chip is overclocked and that can cause problems? I know the FPS was not exactly buttery smooth playing that game in certain areas. I did like how they patched the game so you could remove the stupid chromatic aboration (or whatever It's called) and go full screen as well.

As for someone who asked about the DLC awhile back: The DLC Is pretty damn good and gives you more explanation about the story: Something the game severely lacks at times. The last DLC that was released is OK, but the two prior to that is pretty damn good.

I recently just beat the game and was amazed to hear that the game was one of the best selling survival horror games of all time (for NPD launch month, not world wide or lifetime Sales which RE5 still holds the record). But that's what happens when you let a company hire the man who created Resident Evil 4 and give him free reign. RE6 was so trash compared to The Evil Within at least.

I'd give the The Evil Within a low 8ish. Alien Isolation was the better horror game released that year and It's a shame it sold like crap. I'd give Alien a solid 9.

Yeah. That's what they were wondering as well and asked me tons of questions because I'm using a Xbox One S but turns out the save file was just corrupt. Just got to chapter 4 and so far it's smooth sailing. *fingers crossed*

I've also heard good things about the DLC which is why I sprung the extra $5 for it.
 
So, question - I want to buy Fallout New Vegas but I mostly only want digital games (just don't like dealing with discs).

Fallout New Vegas itself for $7.50 seems like a good deal to me, but not as sure about $7.50 a piece for each of the main DLC add-ons. 

I see Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition for $12 on Amazon.

Question is - if I buy Fallout New Vegas digital for $7.50, and the Ultimate Edition disc version on Amazon, can I install the DLC from disc 2 of the Ultimate Edition and be set, or would I need to always have disc 2 in my xbox one to play the DLC?

Basically, if I'd need to always have the disc in anyway, I'd just stick to getting the disc version of New Vegas Ultimate Edition.  But if I can buy digital New Vegas and install the DLC and be able to play without the disc, this is more appealing.

Anyone know?

EDIT: DId some more googling on this, sounds like you have to have disc 2 in your xbox if you do it this way. I kind of wish the individual DLC wasn't so expensive, it makes it hard not to just go with a physical copy of New Vegas Ultimate Edition.

The disc just lets you install the dlc, you don't have to have the disc in to play it

But you don't own the license without the disc, so if you delete the content you would either have to re-buy it or reinstall from disc

Why don't you just buy the game and play it before you buy "more" of the game? It's not like you're going to finish the main campaign anytime soon. And if you like what you played, pickup the ultimate edition and play all the pricey DLC for cheap.

Maybe I'm going crazy, but after the system update, my Xbox One now makes a beep sound when I turn it on or off. Has it always done that and maybe I never noticed it.

It started doing that with an update several weeks ago. Now my Halo 5 console sounds like a warzone every time I turn it off/on from the controller or from Cortana. :)

The comments I've been finding seem to indicate that if you try to launch New Vegas without disc 2 in the drive, the DLC won't be available. Basically, they're saying you do need disc 2 specifically (not even disc 1) if you want to access and play the installed disc 2.

I mentioned this a few weeks ago. I bought a disc 2 only copy from a pawn shop and it installs the game and all the DLC. Of course, the disc will need to stay in the console to play but that's nothing new.

It's always done that if you turned it on from the console itself, which you probably have never done. Now it does it with the controller too for some reason, that was useful when I didn't want to wake anyone up in the night just to check downloads or start playing on the tablet through streaming.

I agree completely with all of this. It's worth noting that Snyder's wife is a DC movie producer herself and up until the shake-up after BvS that made Geoff Johns prez, her and her husband were part of the "DC brain trust". All seems very incestuous in my opinion, and most likely why he's still running their movies despite deserving to be kicked to the curb.

I assume because either the publisher or Microsoft didn't want to make the sale Gold-only. On PS, it's only $1 if you have PS+, it's $2 otherwise (just like on Wii U). It's a decent compromise if for some reason you don't have Gold.

This isn't new, it's been delisted since before the Ultimate Game sale. Either I or someone else mentioned it in the last thread, it's why I was on the fence about buying Enemy Within (was afraid it'd also be delisted soon, doesn't seem to be the case).

Most likely this, because they assume people are stupid and will buy the older version and complain about it. Why they couldn't just sell Enemy Unknown for less or at least leave the Enemy Unknown DLCs up for purchase is beyond me.

It wasn't delisted on PS3 when I checked during the Ultimate Game sale, but it seems to also have been delisted there now too. It's still available for Vita though probably because there's no Enemy Within Vita port.

It's also still up on Steam, since Enemy Within is just a DLC over there.

Definitely also explains why cheapass 2K made it a GWG.

The iOS/Android versions of the original were delisted once they started offering EW, so it's not new for 2K.

 
To OP about getting fallout new Vegas. Buy the base game digitally and go buy the ultimate edition used and install the dlcs from the 2nd disc and then return the game. The 2nd disc is a install disc as you install the dlcs once and forget about the disc entirely. If you're worried about hard drive space, all the dlcs combined take up 3 to 4gigs. If you're not sure if you'd wanna keep the dlcs on the hdd then go buy the ultimate edition on amazon an keep it in the backlog.

That works on 360, but does it on X1? Iirc with Fallout 3 people had to keep disc 2 to play DLCs.

I got game sharing to work with my cousin in Europe and now in need of a good headset to chat with him while gaming. Can any of you bros recommend the XO One headset? Or is there a better one to get at comparable price?

The XO Four Stealth is supposedly a step up from it and is often about the same price when they both go on sale. I have the XO Four Stealth and like it a good bit. Looking a pictures, it looks like it may just have a little more padding and a few other minor changes than the XO One. I think you can get both pretty regularly for about $50 to $60 on sale.

I also wanna say that the XO one are not very comfortable for long wearing if your ears are big. XO one headset has earphones that rest on the ears and not over the ears. XO four headset has larger earphone cups that allows its to go over the ears which imo is much more comfortable. If you want a cheaper over the ear headset but still very comfortable then I suggest the xbox one stereo headset and I've never had any problems with mine. Their $45 on amazon an any place will pm it.

It does on the same on the X1. The disc is just a licensing thing saying that you own the dlcs physically. On the 360 it'll install the dlcs right from the disc but when the disc in put into the X1, it'll download the dlcs from the marketplace.

I was just in a game of CTR in Gears UE and these two guys started beefing in the lobby for no reason. Cursing, personal attacks, the usual in Gears. So it's a pretty close game and these two aren't even playing the objective, they're just going 1v1 and it's hilarious. The other guys team wins the match and at the final stats screen, he goes "GO SUCK YOUR MOMS SACK, BITCH!".

Bruhhhhhhh I fell right out of my chair laughing.

Just a heads-up that if you want to earn enough Bing credits for at least the $5 GC, now's probably the absolute last day you can start (if your balance is at 0), and you'll have the max out the credits every day from now until the 15th (including mobile search).

The breakdown is 15 points for web search daily, and 10 for mobile search daily, along with some one-click items (around 3 new ones a day), so you'll be getting at least 28 a day, sometimes more from their silly coffee break quizzes (3 points each day they show up).

The credits you can earn resets every day at 1 a.m. EST.

There's also links in an email they send each week that give you one credit each (usually 3 or 4 of those per email) and they're eligible for credits for literally months, in case you have a ton of them and never bothered to open any like me.

Lastly, there's some sort of credit bonus for using the Edge browser on Windows 10, but I think it's only one credit an hour (up to 21 hours a week) and I haven't done it myself. I don't honestly think it's worth it unless you're desperate for a few more credits to get you over the hump.

Or just buy the disc version only and play entirely off disc 2.

Or buy the digital version if you have a 360 still, and borrow the GOTY edition from GS and install the DLC on your 360 and play the DLC there.
