XB1 Assassins Creed Unity is $1.97 on CD keys currently for the digital download. Is it worth it? I almost couldn't type that with a straight face. But seriously, I've bought a few XBL memberships with them with no troubles but never any digital games.

It's not the best AC out there, but it's not the worst in the series. If you enjoy the series, you'll enjoy the game. The only real pain are all of the collectibles.

The game is a hell of a grind. They decided for whatever reason that collectibles would be their main focus on this one and there are a LOOOOOOOT of them. Still, I'd get it for 2 bucks. It's not that terrible if you ignore all the annoying collectibles.

It's been one of the only Assassins Creed game I've managed to finish. For $2 it's definetly worth it. And the coop was pretty fun.

It's not okay to insinuate that someone shouldn't be able to enjoy their hobby because they might have less money. It is not your place to tell others what to spend their money on unless they ask.

Exactly. I'm in a comfortable position now, but really struggled with money problems growing up. Having video games was (still is) a way to relax and relieve stress. Working all the time with no stress reliever isn't good. Save some money every paycheck and get a console and at least 1 game (or play the free ones). Something like ESO or Killer Instinct can keep you busy for hundreds of hours. Saving for a console is way cheaper than other stress relievers (like alcohol for example)
 
I have a question. I redeemed a 3-Day Trial for Xbox Live Gold several hours ago and at the moment, it still doesn't recognize that I used a trial at all and the code is coming off as already redeemed. Is this a known issue?

I dunno. My brother and I saved up money from his paper route and I chipped in birthday funds to get an SNES when they were $300.

Actually the more I think about it, I can't really argue with you. I can't really imagine the scenario where someone has the funds to freely drop on a new console and doesn't have "bigger priorities than gaming." I'm a drug addicted bachelor with a good, steady job and I have to "save up" to buy gaming supplies, since paying for groceries, rent, bills, and hookers are bigger priorities.
 
The statement is correct, it's just stupid. Budgeting a $300 purchase is a sign of wisdom, randomly dropping money on it is foolish. We had to spend $500 on a windshield suddenly last week (crap insurance it turns out) and I didn't think "oh no, my PS4 stash", but "glad we were being thrifty and had that saved".

I have it. It is exactly what you'd expect: Dynasty Warriors-esque hacking and slashing. It is pretty fun and mindless. At $15, I'd say go for it. On the flip side, if you didn't enjoy the GWG Warriors Orochi 3, then I'd say pass.

The general conversation section of the PS side of the site resides in the PSNOT, and/or Discord. It's been kinda slow there lately. The actual deal thread doesn't typically have off-topic discussion by design.

I like Musou games historically, but this is the second time I can't get into Warriors Orochi 3 (got it on WiiU cheap way back).

Maybe I'll just get them to PM Doom for $20.

 
I just noticed that the Windows Store gift cards we picked up on sale via Bing Rewards only have a 3 month life.  Not sure if all Bing XBL bucks work like that because I usually spend them in a couple weeks, but just a heads up if you got the discounted stuff.  You have 11 date nights (including tonight) to burn those space bucks.

Yeah it is all I played this weekend. Wife helped me in spots. I think I am bit over half way though the main quest. Went back and tried level 2 and got back to the same spot. Needed to level up a bit to push on.

Re: Titanfall 1 activity, it's still very easy to find a game. The negative reaction to the beta has recently caused an uptick in number of people playing the original game.

Found a few more people on the Harmonix forums with 2000+ songs for RB4 with no issues, on the S even, so I'm confused again. Seems like it's totally random and if you're randomly selected to have DLC issues, they're yours for life and follow you to different consoles.

It's like the movie Insidious. I'm the haunted little boy who spent too much money on Rock Band songs over the years and I'm paying the price for it now.

As someone who is still planning on bring my 1000+ RB3 songs into RB4 on Xbox One, this discussion is making me sad. WTF Microsoft, the One can't even handle something the 360 was fine with?

Resident Evil 4 has the same achievements as last gen. Just checked the PSN site and they revealed it. What a crock. I guess I'm not surprised, seeing as the other two games had the same list, but still. Ah well.

Saltgrass Steakhouse has the.best.side salad.hands down. If you want a build-your-own-salad type of place, go to Salad Stop (Crunchy Oriental FTW). Also, they have fantastic smoothies.

The fine print on that says "for players that register between august 21 and september 2, codes will be delivered via email on or around September 6." First 100,000 players to sign up.

Has anyone else been having trouble installing the Pandora app? It sits on my ready to install list and trying to install it does nothing. If I go into the store and try to install it that way it says "something went wrong on our end." It's been like this for a week now.

 
Not sure on their source, but saw from the guys at zed to zed podcast that Castle Of Illusion has a high chance of being delisted September 1st. If our date sucks tonight, we could always help out Mickey with his
