Same here. Played with my cousin for a bit. Ric Flair defeated us (Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose) by climbing up the ladder and taking the briefcase. So. Much. Shame. How can you tweak the AI difficulty settings in online private lobbies?

Also I ended up selling my disc copy of GTA5 tonight to get it digitally. God damn am I lazy or what.

 
Random thoughts that I dont feel like quoting the people to.

Titanfall 2 is still bad. Feels nothing like the original and is wrong in so many ways. All you had to do was: Copy. Paste. New weapons. New maps. Single Player. Dont know how or why they veered off the original course so badly.

I hope CoD:IW is NOTHING like BlOps 3. BlOps 3. It was terrible. It tried to be Titanfall and fell short. Using "supers" like it was Destiny but terribly implemented. I hope its more like the older, more realistic CoDs. More MW and less Super Power Robo-People.

I'm currently treading water on Tier 7. Played the shit out of Horizon 1/2 and Forza 5/6. But those earlier games that I didn't really play that much keep me from moving any higher. And it is kind of hard to think about going all the way back to Forza 2 or 3 and putting in enougn time to increase my Tier. Oh well ...
 
Can we please reformat the deal display? It's so convoluted with a bunch of useless information. I don't care what was on sale 3 weeks ago. Then the developer sales are sort of tacked on at the bottom (after useless information like sales from a month ago) so I end up frequently missing them.

I Can usually figure out if there's deals if we're talking about food or sports. So in short, there hasn't been any deals here in months so kinda doesn't matter.

 
It's been a great weekend for me.

My Xbox One has been slow for about a year now. If I install Rock Band 4 and all my songs, no matter if it's internal or external, the system slows to a crawl to where even holding the guide button for the "What do you want to do?" menu takes 15 seconds to pop up. Any other games I install slow it down even more. Trying to start AC Black Flag is like trying to start an old car. I get it to work 1/5 tries, otherwise it freezes, and during gameplay I get odd glitches (game goes mute) and GTA5 freezes for 5 second internals randomly. Halo MCC freezes at Microsoft Studios logo for about 15 seconds on boot. Even though I have 1TB of free space, I have to delete games just to make existing games work.

Nobody on Harmonix forums has the problem, and people there have more DLC than I do, but the problems start to occur when I install RB4 and all 1779 of my DLC. Though I noticed that even if RB4 is uninstalled, the system still gets a little slow if I install about 1TB of other games and DLC, but it's still bearable. But if I install RB4 + DLC even from a clean install, it's just an instant coffin nail, regardless of what else is installed.

Nobody on MS forums knows what it is, except maybe the internal hard drive is dying. Warranty is gone. Didn't even bother calling their customer support, since nobody at the call centers even knows what an Xbox One looks like, they just read from a script.

Friday, I gave in and sold my XB1, my PS3, and all of my PS3 games and paid $40 out of pocket for the XB1 S just to end the nightmare.

Same problems. All of them.

Did a factory reset, wiped external clean, redownloaded my games, problems still occur, regardless of whether I'm using the internal or external drive. Except now my console is smaller so it's easier to reach the AC adapter when I need to pull the plug when it freezes.

Did you guys see you can get a 360 at Target today for like 68-106 bucks depending on which model you get? It's in the target thread but there is a cartwheel today only for 50% off 360 consoles and they are doing 10% off most things on top of that and 5% for red card. Pretty good deal if anyone is worried about there 360 crapping out and wants a spare.

I get around 12-15 hours per charge on mine with play and charge kit depending on how often I play. Usually 4 hours weds, Friday and Saturday then I plug it in until the next weds. I usually have a turtle beach headset plugged in while playing as well.

You're probably just SOL on this. It sounds like it's an issue with the operating system itself or something, and the S doesn't have an effect on all games anyway if it is Rock Band's fault. Maybe Scorpio will help but I wouldn't count on it.

You're probably in a pretty tiny minority having THAT much DLC for it, so if it's on Harmonix's end I don't see it getting fixed. If it's an OS problem then maybe, I don't think there are many games with more that a couple dozen possible DLC's max, so maybe it's some kind of bug from having so many files in one section or something. Best be there would be posting on that official Xbox feedback forum.

I posted about it again on the Harmonix forum this morning, and I'm receiving answers this morning that differed greatly from the last time I posted, basically saying the same thing you are. The XB1 isn't built for games with that much DLC. Rocksmith 2014 has a similar problem with having close to 1000 DLC and some of the DLC collectors for that game are having some issues. Not as bad as mine, but they're there.

It's a strange situation of "sorry, you spent too much money on this game." I even have the Rock Band Rivals bundle pre-ordered, but I've kind of hit a point where I have so much DLC that, even if I were to delete literally EVERYTHING except RB4 and its DLC and make it an exclusive RB4 machine, it still has some issues. Not as much as if I had installed Halo MCC on top of it, but it still acts up.

I tried that, actually. It still seems to have issues; my guess is that the console still thinks it's all installed and has to keep up with it, it just doesn't allow me to actually access it until the drive is plugged in.

Found a few more people on the Harmonix forums with 2000+ songs for RB4 with no issues, on the S even, so I'm confused again. Seems like it's totally random and if you're randomly selected to have DLC issues, they're yours for life and follow you to different consoles.

It's like the movie Insidious. I'm the haunted little boy who spent too much money on Rock Band songs over the years and I'm paying the price for it now.

Please don't go there, or I will be forced to resume my regularly-scheduled remaster bitching. :)

There really is no better party game or "Relaxing After Work With Only A Short Time To Play Games" game. Especially if you happen to be a total music fanatic outside of the gaming world. If I only have 15 minutes every night to play games, and my choices are to drum along to one of my favorite songs to try to obtain a high score, or get my ass handed to me by younger folks in an online FPS game, I'll go with the music game every time.

Lots of stuff I'm interested in there. I'll for sure be playing the Fallout 4 DLC and Earthlock (since it's free with Gold). The other three all look like stuff I'd like so I'll see how the reviews are.

 
I am also looking forward to beating it for the 7th and 8th time on my fourth different system. Let's hope Capcom keeps the party going when the Scorpio drops so we can do it all over again in two years.
 
Just remembered (thankfully) that I preordered RE4 from the Microsoft Store since it qualified for the $10 GC or $15 rewards credit.

Anxious to check out this version.
 
I have some good news and I have some bad news..

The good news is, I'm no longer stuck in last gen gaming with just my Xbox 360! The bad news (depending on how you look at it) is that I now have a PS4!

A couple of my friends knew I was saving and offered to help pool together with me to get me a console if I agreed to go the PS route to play games with them.

But you guys are my pals (or I pretend you are because I lurk, don't make it weird) so I am going to still stay here in this thread. Also the PSN deals thread isn't very lively compared to this.

I just bought a XBox One S and I already own a XBox One. My friend gave me a good amount for the old XBox One and I sold the Madden code, so only ended up paying $100ish.

Sell me on Rock Band. Can I play with just the guitar? Just drums? How big is the song library?

 
Dammit, I waited too long and now the microsoft store isn't taking anymore pre-orders for RE4.

Hopefully they add Dead Rising 1 & 2, $15 vouchers for $20 games is an amazing deal.

Yes and yes. You can do most of the features solo. The only thing you're missing out on are higher scores for having others play with you, but those are tracked differently than solo scores anyway, they're in a league of their own. But playing with friends is a truly awesome gaming experience that you have to try at least once.

As of now, I believe there are ~2500 songs to choose from in the Rock Band 4 store. They're still working on getting some delisted songs back (delisted due to license expirations) and some songs from previous gen that for some reason aren't carrying over properly.

Most still consider Rock Band 3 to be the definitive music game experience, so I recommend that if you still have your 360 and know of a place locally that still has working 360 instruments for sale (most Guitar Hero instruments work with it too, though I'd advise against using the GH drums). You won't have access to any current gen post-Rock Band 4 DLC releases, but it's mostly been pop music anyway. RB3 had access to a whole new music store called the Rock Band Network, where record labels and independent artists could release their own Rock Band songs, so the number of songs available is astronomical. Sadly, none of the Rock Band Network songs have carried over to RB4. It's been almost a year since the game's release, and they're still patching and adding things to try to bring it up to what Rock Band 3 was.

RB4 is also missing online play, but that's supposedly coming this winter for those that buy the expansion that comes out in October.

Rock Band 1 taught me how to play drums. I started playing that game with no desire to be a drummer, having never even sat behind a real drumset ever, I just wanted to finish the achievements in the game. I've since been in a band and played a live show on stage in front of a real audience (the band was short-lived, but it wasn't my fault). The series will always have my utmost respect for that. If you have any interest in playing drums, or feel like maybe drumming is something you can get into, Rock Band is a great teaching tool, even though it doesn't advertise itself as being one (at least not like how Rocksmith advertises teaching guitar). If you can get yourself up to expert difficulty, and get the cymbal add-ons for the drum kit, the transition to a real drum set for the first time is nearly seamless, and I say that from experience.
