I'm curious if preordering the digital Ultimate Edition from Gamestop will net not just the 2 Gamestop DLC cars and the physical one, but the Mercedes MS Dashboard one as well.

Shame PowerUp Rewards certs can't be used on digital content, could knock $40 off the price of it. Probably going to preorder it there anyway in a few days, when they can start giving out the Arceus cards.

Man, I really wish I'd had the credit stash I do now a few weeks ago. Haven't bought anything since Divinity/Blood of the Werewolf, but there was a number of thing I skipped on during UGS.

Xbone line-up looks great, really glad to see they ended up nabbing Orochi after all (since it was rumoured for last month). Not a WWE fan, but I haven't played one of the games in almost 2 decades, so that's something.

360 games are both solid titles, but I, of course, own both. BG&E is great and I 100%d it years ago so I don't mind, but I haven't even touched my 360 version of Spelunky.  :wall:

Still waiting on Wasteland 2. :bouncy:

 
People on reddit are saying the Ultimate Alliance ports don't include any of the dlc, lol. I know, shocker, Activision is usually so good about stuff like that.
 
Something appears to be wrong with the 360's marketplace. Miecraft episode 7 is out on One but not yet on 360 according to Major.
 
marvel ultimate alliance not including the dlc would be a joke. it was delisted and the version with it on the disk is really expensive, without it the remaster is completely pointelss

 
Didn't their press release say "most" was included at least? That would be a real shit storm, especially since the 360 ones started including it.

To those wondering about the lack of 360 sales, it's worth noting that the Criminal Activity DLC for the 360 version of Hardline is not free with Gold (yet). All the Battlefield DLCs have gone free simultaneously on both systems.

I assume it's indicative of some sort of issue with changing pricing on the 360 marketplace.

The Major hasn't posted yet either (he's been around tonight, just posting about Xbone game launches), he's probably been told to hold off until the issue's resolved.

I'm guessing the dlc was pulled due to licensing issues, what with Sony having the rights to Spiderman and NBC owning Agents of Shield (see "Bob," not Hydra Bob, in Deadpool). Something probably came up years ago when it was delisted and now Activision can't get the rights back.

The 360 version probably has the dlc included because that was the only way to insure people with the dlc on disc could install it or something.
 
Honestly, fuck activision when it comes to Ultimate Alliance. $60 for two old, non-included DLCs games? For both games, including all DLCs, should be no more than $40. Plus, fuck them and sony for not giving us the new Spidey game.

I don't claim to be a licensing expert, but it seems possible that re-listing the dlc could cause more issues than "baking it in." So rather than have a bunch of complaints that people can't get their super expensive dlc to work they just enabled it for everyone.

NBC owns Agents of Shield?
 
The studios owning the Marvel characters is just the movie rights. This means another studio, we will say fox, can't make a movie about spiderman since that's owned by Sony.

Marvel owns the characters and marvel is now owned by disney.

The Activision game is a game about the spiderman movie

Whom Sony owns the rights to they also make a game station called the playstation. They effectively told Activision if you want to make a game about our movie then it can only be on our system.

Activation had nothing to do with this one it's all on Sony.

Now on to the video game rights. Ultimate alliance is based on the comic books. Activation would now need Disney's permission to release the game. So disney may be saying no to the dlc since they aren't getting a cut of that pie. That may be why they had to include the dlc to release as bc.


And just to make things even more confusing I'm now going to talk about theme parks. The Marvel characters were bought by universal to put in their theme park islands of adventure before disney bought them. Universal is in competition with Disney with theme parks right next to each other.

Universal spends 100s of thousands of dollars making a theme park with marvel characters and rides. Disney swoops in and buys the whole marvel company. Now universal is selling disney stuff and characters in one of their theme parks.

It's very bitter sweet for them because these characters make them a ton of money then they have to turn around and give it back to their biggest competitor Disney. Disney is laughing to the bank to cash that check every month.

Wow. WWE is a great GWG choice. Those are games I want to play every year, but never spend money on. And the sales never get deep enough for me to buy them. This will be the first year I've played since WWE 12, and I watch the product religiously.

We definitely need to get some CAG night fatal 4 way matches or Royal Rumbles going.

Nah, I had it backwards. Fox made Deadpool, and they couldn't use Hydra Bob because he's owned by Marvel Studios (which makes Agents of Shield). I just loosely knew that the "Hey, Bob!" moment was a weird inside joke about film rights.

I bought Sword Coast Legends. I had been hyped about it and then lost interest when I mistakenly thought it would be a $60 release. As such, as soon as I saw it was really only $20 I jumped right on it. The loading times are horrendous, and it can get a bit herky jerky with the framerate occasionally, but the gameplay and story are great so far. It's got an interesting vibe that feels like hack n slash but clearly functions by turn based rules. Any real CAG will wait for a sale, but I don't regret my purchase yet.

One bit of advice for anyone that does pick it up; the default is Shared looting which means the first person to open a chest can take everything. Look for games set to Individual and disable shared loot in your options so you actually get something in MP.

The regional forum has a sticky for Fred Meyer, which routinely has them 10-20% off and maybe quarterly has them 28% off. My local stores don't carry the right cards anymore (only the ones they keep behind the counter will work with the coupons, not the ones on the gift card rack).

The trade forum always has them 15% off and a few people will do 20-25%.

I don't think they've gone on sale at any B&M retailer besides Freddie's since they switched from points. Newegg and Ebay Gifts sometimes have them 15-20% off, I think.

I dunno. I hit Freddie's pretty hard until that well dried up, and now I pretty much just harass the trade forum when I need my fix.

I bought it on PS4 and it is not optimized for console play at all. Just terrible. Tiny text that I can't read unless I'm sitting a few feet from the screen (no option to make it bigger either). You're essentially using the analog stick to control a mouse pointer and have to worry about moving windows around that block important parts of the screen. I can't speak to the actual quality of the game as it was too much of a burden to play. I ended up getting a refund from Sony CS.
