They had the base game for a dollar and change recently, but would be good to know if you even need it if you buy the all in one pack. I got it for the few games it included at the time.

I bought my wife a new 2013 Jetta TDI three years ago. I was pretty pissed when the emissions scandal hit the fan, but I'm deliriously happy after getting the paperwork around a month ago telling me that I've basically used the car for 50K miles at a price of roughly $2500 after they buy it back. The buybacks are supposed to start at the beginning of November. They also sent TDI owners a $500 dealership card (which paid for my 40K service) and a $500 prepaid Visa back in December which was a pleasant surprise. At least they are trying to own up to their mistake.

As for gaming related odds & ends, I have some things to add. Here's my thoughts on a couple of recent racing releases......

Valentino Rossi - The Game: I have a love / hate relationship with Milestone. On the one hand, I'm glad they are making games for motorcyclists, and on the other, I dislike that they often make the same design mistakes over and over. I purchased this game digitally from a fellow CAGer when it was released in Europe over two months ago. Since then, I've played a LOT of it. It is hands-down the best game they've made and I can honestly recommend it without reservation. The career mode is nicely fleshed out, they included two-stroke bikes from the 125 / 250 / 500 GP era, and the overall depth of things to do is very impressive. The assists and difficulty levels in the game can accommodate any skill level, which is nice. Bottom line: if you like motorcycling, buy it, even if you don't care for Rossi himself. His name is plastered all over the game, but the whole MotoGP roster is present and accounted for. I give it an 8.5 of 10.

Assetto Corsa: I also bought this from a fellow CAGer about a week ago. I've tried and tried to get into this one and I've never seen AI quite like it. I've been gaming for 33 years and have played hundreds of racing games and have typically done very well. I currently have Forza 6, Forza Horizon 2, Project Cars, etc. In those games, I can win on most difficulty settings, with or without assists. On Assetto Corsa, I can get my ass whipped repeatedly on 3 of the 4 difficulty settings. If you go off track even a couple of feet, you are penalized and have to release the throttle for 5 or 10 seconds (depending on the severity of the infraction). Just rewind, you say? Nope, won't find it here. I understand it's a full-on sim, but damn, it can get extremely discouraging to make a tiny mistake 30 minutes into a race and have no option but to restart or accept your plight at the back of the pack. Running with a controller is an exercise that requires the patience of a saint - but I tweaked the settings to where it works decently. Running with a wheel and pedals makes things significantly better but I don't always want to set those up just to play a couple of hours. On the plus side, the game looks nice, and the physics model is extremely realistic. I give it a 7 of 10 - it has a lot of potential but does need some fixes in several areas to compete with Forza 6 or Project Cars.

I think what they meant was that once you buy it you can download them separately. That's also the way the Handsome Collection works. I only have Borderlands 2 installed.

Thanks they do make it confusing as the pack says it includes the games in the base game. Wish I had got the base for a buck I never did because the pack was not on sale. Don't want to buy it without being sure I can play them. Stupid me.

I finally found out on the capcom forums you do need to buy the base in order to use the all in one. You can't use the demo and add the all in one pack. Guess I will skip it then as who knows if the base will ever be on sale again.

I am the one who said that it was three separate downloads but what I meant is it's similar to Borderlands where it's a separate file for each game.So, for the time being you have to buy the collection. Sorry for the confusion!

I've been playing it a decent amount since it was $5 a few weeks ago and that happens to me every once and while usually doesn't work again til a while later though
 
Man I forgot how frustrating castle of illusion is. It doesn't help that the franerate drops to near zero, making some areas unplayable.

Pretty sure it's bc related. I don't remember it being this bad when I played it on my 360. The super floaty controls can't be fixed unfortunately.

Bambi, made in 1942, was depressing. Old Yeller was super depressing. I remember being devastated by the Ugly Duckling when I was 3 or 4 years old. I was so distraught that I refused to continue watching (I wasn't convinced when my mom told me it had a happy ending).

On topic, I feel like I've been waiting forever for a sale on Telltale's Game of Thrones. It's always on sale for ever platform but the one I need (360).

 
Don't know if anyone else posted this already or not, but the patch just dropped for MUA that added in all the DLC characters for the Xbone. There was also one for MUA2, but I'm not sure what that was for yet since the DLC characters were already in it.
 
Played about 4 or 5 hours of Nuka World. So far I've had:

-A hard lock that led to a crash

-A soft lock that required a restart.

-Vault-Tek DLC suddenly not recognized after a couple hours, had to delete and re-download it.

-Quest enemy that got stuck out of bounds.

Having played about 300 hours, this is by far the buggiest I've had it get while not using mods. They were doing a lot better than there usual performance until this DLC.

Minor non-specific spoiler gripe...
There is apparently only one new settlement in the DLC area, which you do not unlock until either finishing the main quest or possibly doing certain things randomly out of order. This has made looting kind of a pain because I've been traveling back to the Commonwealth to store everything. I assume using default containers may reset which deletes your old stuff.
It seems like an odd oversight with the focus on this aspect in the base game, Far Harbor, and the other DLCs related to it. Maybe it's  a reaction to the complaints that haven't been officially acknowledged.

Drop the items on the ground. Items that are dropped by the player don't dissappear from my experience. I dropped some generic weapons after facing the guy who kidnapped your kid and when the bos first showed up, and came back to the place 30 or 40 levels later to find out the weapons were still there where I left em.

I got Max Curse of the Brotherhood randomly added to my game list yesterday too. I never bought it either. It was GWG during a time when I had let my gold lapse for a few months.

What's weird is the Xbox.com listing for Max doesn't show I own it like my other games.

I just 100%d MUA 1 and 2 a couple months ago.

MUA 1 has aged VERY badly. It plays like an original Xbox game and doesn't look much better than one either. Runs like shit at times too, the framerate drops to like 10fps sometimes.There's still some fun to be had in co-op though. Playing as Doom is hilarious since he's so OP.

MUA 2 is so much better. The fusion system is dumbed way down in comparison to the unique supermoves from the first one but they're still a lot of fun to pull off. Combat is better, graphics are better, very much worth $9.

The Turing Test is getting some solid reviews. Would push me over the edge for the Xbox Rewards promo. Anybody check it out yet? Looks solid, but I just finished The Talos Principle and I don't know if my brain can handle more first person puzzling.
