Looking at this Namco sale again, is the original Dark Souls still worth playing? Or would it be better to start with Dark Souls 2? Not that I really have the time for a game which requires so much patience, but... my inner masochist is still curious.

First one is 100% worth playing still, I'd definitely recommend going through all of them, if you don't have either 1 and 2 are both great prices with this sale.

Agree 100%.

Dark Souls is arguably the best in the entire line of Soulsbourne games too. Sounds anti-cag but when it is on sale I want to just buy it again even though I already own it I love it so much hahah.

Looking through the list of past GWG I'm really bummed I didn't have Live for so long. I don't play online much but for infrequent online gaming + sales + free games, it finally feels like a valuable service to me. I know XBL is a well maintained gaming network and that costs money, I just don't play online regularly.

There's a guy at a Facebook group I own eho's selling 50$ GCs for 15$ , it obviously screams scam but my friend decided to get one Netherless he got the code and was able to redeem it without a problem on his console , now I'm starting to wonder if the code itself waa bought with a stock credit card

So here goes my question

If the card was indeed bought with a stolen CC and the real owner reverts the payment , will my friend end up losing everything? I'm so tempted but I believe it's too good to be true

If that is the case he can pretty much kiss access to the xbox store goodbye and that is a best case. He could get a total account ban also. Beyond risky i hope he does not have a lot invested in that account.

The first one is definitely one of my top 5 games of all time. One great thing about it is that it auto saves CONSTANTLY (however, this can also be to your detriment). You can pick it up, play for 10 minutes, shut it down and start right where you left off whenever you feel like playing again.

Pac Man DX+ came later and was an improvement over championship edition. Championship edition is included with the Pac Man Museum collection that is on sale for the 360 for $5.

I liked them both a lot more than XIII, probably my favorite two JRPGs of last gen. XIII-2 does a lot of stuff that felt like a direct response to criticism of XIII, like allowing you to do most of the game in any order you want along with full control over your party (technically). While Lightning Returns just kind of does it's own thing with the only weirdness coming from the fact that you only play with Lightning the entire game, with the concept of a part replaced with Paradigm Shifting yourself.

They get somewhat trashed based on their story, but my only real complaint is that they feel like they could be unrelated entirely with very little impact on their quality. XIII-2 because it focuses mostly on near-absent from 1 and/or brand new characters, LR because it's set way after 2 in a virtually new world.

Lightning Returns has a New Game+ mode, but I kind of left that second playthrough in the dust during the transition to next gen, that's probably the only HD re-release I'll buy, I already 100% XIII-2. I actually never finished XIII because of how shit it was, XIII-2 gives you a decent primer if you didn't play it, I'd say you probably would want to play XIII-2 before LR though.

Personally I thought they were both great, and I hope the developer, tri-Ace, is able to keep making console games alongside whatever mobile nonsense they have to put out. They did at least get to keep doing Star Ocean.

Despite being in the same series, they are very different. From actual gameplay, to the single player, to 5's insanely customizable Create-A-Soul, I would not say owning 2 HD is a good reason not to own 5. 5 is also easily worth the current asking price ($3.75).

This.

Gears 4 Season Pass is really only worth it if you plan on playing a bunch of private matches. All maps will be free but will be on a rotational basis but with the season pass you have them for private matches whenever.

Pretty sure Rod Ferguson said they'll be adding some campaign DLC to the season pass in a Twitter QA not too long ago. Im sure they'll throw sone Horde stuff in there over time as well. But for the most part it's multiplayer-focused content.

I did a little research on Championship Edition vs. DX and DX is basically a sequel to Championship Edition. a minority of people online seem to prefer the original but the general opinion seems to be that DX is an improvement. I played the original Championship Edition a few years ago and loved it so I got both of them.

I actually cancelled my Gears 4 UE and downgraded to the regular version. Feels weird to not get the season pass for Gears but I'm just not interested in playing private multiplayer matches. If they add Horde or campaign content later I'll get it then, it'll probably be cheaper anyway.

 
If your in the Preview Program you should be able to go to settings and look at Updates manually and force the new clubs update if you want it.

I'm in the preview program but there's no update available. I'm guessing it's rolling out in waves, in which case I'll get it in a day or two.
 
I don't see the season pass being worth it for Gears even if they do add Campaign stuff to it, since it would probably be available separately too. Horde exclusive stuff seems unlikely too with the REQ pack-like COG cards or whatever they're called. We'll see I guess, it will suck if some of the good Horde maps get rotated out. The wording almost sounds like you won't be able to host a private game on ANY of the DLC maps without the pass, even if they are in the current rotation.
