I think these were supposed to be only for EA Access members. I haven't seen any official announcement, but there is a an ad mentioning PopCop games have been added to The Vault. All my games still work. Both the ones I owned and the ones I got yesterday as "Ready to Install". I have EA Access.

The fact that you think that Gears 3 is one of the best games from last gen tells me that you know very little about videos games, or that you just play very few of them. And are you a moron? The whole point of that post was who cares what IGN and GameInformer says about a game. They get paid to write their good reviews. Play it yourself and be your own judge. And the 'actual gamers' I mentioned are people I personally know that, like me, know the difference between a good and bad video game. What happened was, you got all butthurt when you seen that I called out your favorite game for being what it is. A overrated piece of crap that only moronic Gears fanboys would defend. Anyone know how long Gear of War 4 is?

I've seen reviews say anywhere between 4 and 6hrs... I am curious as to user experiences.

Also, for those who pre-ordered it, do they get to play it this weekend, or have to wait till Tuesday? (I swear I saw the former, but wanted confirmation)

Judgement was my favorite game, I am still curious as to what Tatt's meant by there is "no active reloading" and "You can tell the difference between a real gears fan and a casual fan by their opinion of the game"

I loved Judgement's faster game play, the addition of the bonus objectives which you have to initiate, and just the fun banter.

Honestly, Judgement is my favorite in the series, followed closely by Gears 2... though I seem to always remember Gears 1 more than any other game in the series, save for Judgement. It's like G1 and 2 are so close in my mind, I have trouble separating them.

As for Gears 3, while I enjoyed it.. I could not initially play it all the way through. Everytime I tried to play the campaign, I seemingly grew bored and lost interest, and would have to put it down for a few days/weeks before going back. This is with it being full multiplayer, and not just solo mind you. I also always felt like I was scrounging/scavenging for ammo and never had enough.

The less said about the MP the better, I initially liked it, then it became a shotgun/buzzsaw fest where the whole idea of cover based shooting lost all meaning.

 
Goddamn I have such good memories of Gears 3 horde and how after level 30 the Silverback might as well have been made of paper mache. That or the fun of playing it first time with friends and getting to level 10 and the feels of "THERE'S ANOTHER BERSERKER?!? WTF?!?!?!?"

I bought Gears 3 at D1 because of hype (never played a Gears game before), while I found it enjoyable I'm not that into TPS, I'm more of an Halo/BF/COD guy.

Got into the whole Nvidia scam and seeing the game preloaded me made me go and preorder physical (it helped that it's going to cost me like 35€ though).

I bet they don't even make 60K/yr to write reviews and they mostly live in super expensive cities like SF Cali. Doesn't seem worth it to me unless you really love video games which is why I trust most of those reviews as a baseline.

Maybe your right though, we should all play Fighter Within and Tony Hawk 5 instead of Horizon 3 and Gears 4, so we can all be part of your true Gamers club.
 
Gears 3 is the only one I played to completion, I found it to be a very enjoyable game, Can't wait till gears 4 is 20 bucks in a year so I can enjoy that one as well.

Judgment got a lot of unfair hate, but I have a hard time understanding how it can be anyone's favorite. To be fair, horde mode is my favorite part of Gears and Judgment screwed that up in some weird ways.

At the very least, we can all be thankful that Judgment did not turn out to be a Kinect Gears game which seems to have been a strong possibility at the time.

I only remember calling one person a moron. And the only people I said weren't actual gamers are the people with IGN, GameInformers ect. that get paid to write their positive reviews. Obviously people in this thread have problems reading and understanding things. But it's all good, I could honestly care less. lol

The steam thread is the only thread on here even close to as good as the XBL thread. I think you've just got issues with things that don't suck

Well in all honesty, I play for the campaign and not Horde or Multiplayer.

I get bored of Horde type modes very very quickly, I like changing environments and the feeling that I am progressing through a story or with some objective. Running back and forth in the same map/environment for an hour... drives me nuts, and I begin to lose interest. Though, Gears 3 also had the longest Horde mode with 50waves compared to the usual 10-20.

Might be due to ADHD.

Do you realize how much actual skill it takes to be REALLY good at Gears? For you to say people who enjoyed Gears know nothing about games is the most n00bish shit I've heard in a while. You play NOTHING but single player casual shit. Congrats, you can jump on a platform and beat up a computer enemy. YEW R UH TRU GAMUR DOOD

Edit: just looked at your completed games list on TA. For you to say what you just said about not knowing what good games are and seeing what you've actually played to completion is riotous. Stick to easy mode shit if you want, but you can never say anything about others tastes in games again.

Sadly, Gears 1 is the only one I've played to completion. Don't know why since I own all of them. But I have such fond memories of that campaign.

And even with a Gears "backlog", I'll jump right into 4 anyway.

No you only need 6 cans, so if you like fruit punch Rockstar w/ the Gears logo, get 6 of those. Redeem 4 of them on the Gears/Rockstar site and get skins/emblems. Code 5/6 you redeem together on the Walmart/Rockstar site for that skin/emblem

Yeah, Gears 1 and 2 took skill be to good at. Gears 3? Please. Gears 3 did to Gears what Halo Reach did to Halo. They turned it into a game that anyone can pick up a controller and be decent at. And I play nothing but single player games? lol. Add me on Xbox Live. Seriously add me. GT = Zombies World. Now go on every multilayer game you own, that is if you own anything other than Gears, and look at my stats. Halo, CoD, Destiny, Doom, Quantum of Solace, Bioshcok 2, any multiplayer game you have. If your have better stats on any multiplayer game that I've played, I'll take back everything I said about Gears 3. Seriously, do it. Please. lol

This right here is why I have no need/desire to buy GoW4 on Day One. I would play the campaign and Horde Mode and that's it. I can't even slide from wall to wall as good as everyone else in MP, much less compete with them for kills.
