Anyone have this issue before?  I am playing Fallout 4 off my external drive.  It plays fine but when I tried to load a save or make a manual save it just hangs until I hit the "Home" button.  As soon as it zooms out to the dashboard it will load or save the game.  I have no idea why this is happening.  Should I play the game and move my save to the internal drive?

I've had all kinds of weird loading issues, both with and without using mods. Their shitty engine has so many bugs that it's ridiculous, so it could be a lot of things. I've heard having a LOT of saves can cause issues like that. Mine only semi-fixable issue was my game having a heart-attack when fast traveling to my extremely built up Sanctuary. Haven't played since a couple weeks after Nuka World, so who knows what new bugs were introduced recently. I managed to completely crash the game a few times in my non-modded save after it came out.

Only other fix I had was my Vault-Tec DLC not loading properly, so I deleted and redownloaded it and it was fine.

Hmm, just booted mine up and it took about 3 seconds to load, with 129. Maybe it's due to an external HDD? I still don't have one so only have 53 installed.

It's a feature of a Bethesda game.

Don't forget, it's not a true Bethesda game unless it's riddled with bugs.

But ... how exactly do developers expect you to simultaneously be in the middle of a firefight, listen to dialogue between NPCs and read on-screen hints that are short paragraphs in a small font?

I guess you can't appreciate the sacrifices our soldiers made in WW1. They didn't have 14 point Comic Sans fonts back then. It was all 8 point Times New Roman and they liked it because that's all they knew.

Not to mention the popup that happens in the bottom/middle of screen when a friend comes online

 
BF1 is awesome, but...to me, as far as the online goes, it's just more Battlefield. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I just thought they would take more risks with the WW1 setting. The weapons are mostly what you would find in any class based shooter (smg, sniper, dmr, some automatic rifles, machine guns) and the gameplay seems to be almost the same to me as the other titles in the series. But with that said it's a ton of fun and I'm probably going to sink a whole lot of time into it. I just don't think there is a whole lot here that's going to change the genre, other than possibly seeing more games set in the past.

Yeah I'm with you... Ultimately, it's more and prettier Battlefield in a unique setting. That's okay with me. If you want something more simulation focused, you can always be simultaneously impressed with the tech and bored to tears playing something like Red Orchestra or Verdun.

I was browsing the Windows Store and curious to what games I could download. Seems Gears of War 4 is listed under my games, I clicked it and it was going to let me download/install it, has anyone tried playing it on PC? Or is the license most likely still revoked? I got a copy during the nvidia fiasco that was eventually revoked.

It's most likely revoked. Give it a shot though but you need a beast of a computer to play that properly.

 
If anyone bought the deluxe version of Dark Souls 3 the DLC is out now for download.

I didn't see any "updates" available, but when I launched the game it downloaded the DLC. It's 1.5 gigs.

I went to the DLC area to test if it works, and I was able to go into the new area.

Prepare to die....again.

 
Battlefields achievements are glitched as fuck. Can't even play the campaign until Dice issues a patch. I beat two missions on Hard and the game only counted one of them as completed. Not gonna risk going all the way and not getting credit for doing it all. Fuuuuuuuck it's so good so far too.

And I also reached Scout rank 6 and I still don't have the achievement for reaching Rank 2. Shit.

First thoughts on the CoD beta, I just didn't enjoy it as much. They're trying so hard to rewrite the entire thing into something new but it still all feels exactly the same. When I played the Blops 3 beta last year it actually convinced me to pre-order the game since I enjoyed playing it so much. This game feels like a cluster fuck  if you ask me. There's a part of me that kind of wants the MW remake but I can wait until that one's out as a standalone game. Not about to waste money on this just to get access to a 9 year old game.

I am on the East Coast. Fortunately, I'm home now too. Finally gonna beat Stranglehold on 360 this weekend. It started out pretty good but all that diving and shooting gets monotonous as hell after the second hour.

First thoughts on the CoD beta, I just didn't enjoy it as much. They're trying so hard to rewrite the entire thing into something new but it still all feels exactly the same. When I played the Blops 3 beta last year it actually convinced me to pre-order the game since I enjoyed playing it so much. This game feels like a cluster fuck if you ask me. There's a part of me that kind of wants the MW remake but I can wait until that one's out as a standalone game. Not about to waste money on this just to get access to a 9 year old game.

I don't know... At first, I thought it felt a little "light" - like your character just didn't have any weight to him. Now that I've played a bit, I'm starting to get used to it and it feels OK. The jury is still out. I haven't pre-ordered yet... I'm leaning that way, though...
