Yea I bought the deluxe edition when it first came out in a price glitch on amazon. I try to play a game every now and again, get frustrated at times/match making and then dont pick it up again. The game just needs players, and it needs lots of them. No idea why the publisher wont make it free to play.

I just returned my pre-owned copy to Gamestop last night. I bought it two days after it came out, thinking that it wouldn't drop more than $10 for a few months at least.

I've put about 4 hours into it so far and I love it. It's far less grindy than the original, and no timers make it nice.

My biggest gripe, though, is the lack of
over the top psychopaths that always had their own cutscenes. Now we just get some mini boss like psychopaths that are hardly entertaining or challenging. The hover-round buffet lady was always one of my favorites.

"The Day I Learned That Women Poop" by Burt Reynolds. One of my favorite books ever. We all remember the first time we realized that women take dumps, don't we?

My contribution to the poop thread (spoilered for your convenience):

I must have been coming down with something in college one time, because I was walking to the dorms and realized all of a sudden, with shocking certainty and alarming urgency, that I needed to dump. I went to the lobby bathroom, because the elevator to my dorm room would have taken too long and the stairs were not an option. From realization to arrival in the bathroom took like 45 seconds, tops, yet as soon as I sat down, my ass was already doing that nasty spraying thing, like a firehose that's been clogged with mud.

When I stood up, a horrible sight awaited me. Turns out that my ass had been in spray mode as I was pulling my pants down and in the process of sitting. I had sprayed the toilet itself and a lot of the back wall, too. It looked like the wall behind Private Pyle in Full Metal Jacket, if you color-swapped red for brown. I wiped as well as I could and went straight up to take a shower. I think I threw away my pants and underwear, just to be safe.

Only other memorable poop moment I have is when I birthed a 12-incher that looked just like the Nike symbol. Still haven't seen a dime for that, by the way.

I'll try to answer your question best I can since I can't personally compare it to Destiny since I never got into it.

So far The Division has had two true expansions... The first is Underground which as it suggests adds a large area in the underground with a lot of different missions and operations that you can alter the challenge with various different difficulties (no mini-map for example). Then there was the most recent one which is Survival. This can have up to 24 players and is similar to the Dark Zone, but relies more on team work as you are dropped into a contamination zone and have to obtain all of the necessary gear to surivive (food, warmer clothing, etc).

As for campaign/story-driven, I wouldn't necessarily say that they are story-driven. It is more one of those things that if you have liked the game thus far, then the season pass is worth it. If you don't, then you probably can skip it. Personally, I haven't done too much with the expansions and have recently started to get back into it after a few months off. For the most part, patches 1.4 and 1.5 have made the game more enjoyable for myself that I haven't really felt the need to hop into the expansions... But I will eventually.

 
Well poop my pants and call me sally. When did TitanFall 2 and Battlefield go back to full price? I was going to buy the bundle today dammit!

 
I finally started Doom and wow. The ledge grab is so seamless and well-integrated I'm pretty sure I'll be reflexively trying to do it in other games. Amazed at how perfectly they balanced modern/old school.

Deadpool is fun but that's mostly because of the story and humor, the gameplay itself is kinda generic and repetitive. I'm glad I played it but IMHO there's little to no replay value, so I wouldn't pay more than $10 for a digital copy unless you have money to burn.

Also, it's ~$19 on Amazon.

 
Deadpool is probably the most hilarious game ever made. I agree with gamergirl, the combat is nothing to write home about but it's not flat out awful either. Overall it's a highly entertaining game.
 
deadpool is one of those games that is fairly eh but not bad but it's got the high dollar licensing that that shit sits at dumbass prices for 208 years

Deadpool DID hit those prices ~3 years ago, then it was briefly hard to find and delisted from Steam. The movie renewed interest in it and they ported it to the current gen, and have been charging way too much ever since. Much like the film, it was made on a lower than typical budget and you can kinda tell, but it's so well written that the story will keep you playing - it's a lot of fun in spite of its flaws.

A few years ago I got it for ~$15 from Gamefly, I think, and then sold it for about $12, but yeah, it probably won't dip that low for awhile now since the movie was so successful. I just can't recommend digital for that price on a game you'll likely never play again.

If you have GCU, does it not apply online?

I got the 2-yr card from that Call of Duty Endowment charity stream and I activated that in-store and the one they sent online. Not getting anything to show up online. Showing $30+ even though I'm activated for 4 years.

Man, this is everything wrong with console gaming anymore. I can see a title like Skyrim, or Diablo, or Fallout, or a Halo retaining its price somewhat over time... but man, the whole "Oh game X is BC now, let's double or triple its price again" thing is annoying as crap, and so is stuff like "Oh the Deadpool movie did well, so let's make it something like $25 instead of the $5 it probably would/should be by now instead".

The Call of Duty games in particular are THE WORST for this. "Oh it has Call of Duty in the title, so we can *never* let it dip below $9.99, ever, and it needs to be $19.99 normal price", even though titles like CoD 2 and 3 are waaaaaaaay outdated at this point. Who the %$U# is paying $20 for Call of Duty 3, or even considering it?

 
Here's a fun Q for folks:

If I buy a digital original XBox title to play the 360 (like say Burnout 3: Takedown), does it still require the actual MS partition on a 360 Hard Drive for emulation purposes?  So a 3rd party HD won't work?

Honestly I don't actually have GCU, I just give the cashier my friend's phone number when I need to get something. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to work online though.

It definitely applies online for qualifying items. When you're logged into your BB account, it should automatically show the discounted price on the item page, it does for me anyway.

Deadpool is not worth $20. Has a few funny moments but incredibly repetitive gameplay and it's a short game. I rented it from Redbox and beat it in an afternoon without feeling like I was rushing it. I would MAYBE say $20 for the disc is acceptable cause you could resell it to reduce the actual cost, but I wouldn't pay more than $5 for digital, maybe $10 if you just really really really really really really love Deadpool.

Yes it does. As long as you are logged into the site it should show you the GCU price.
 
Yeah, the CoD brand tax is absurd, especially since most of the old games will have dead MP scenes as people move to the new games. Also, they sell so many discs that the used market is flooded and you can get them for dirt cheap if you really want them. Usually only Nintendo acts this stupid over old games (IE they'd sell more at lower prices).

To my knowledge that's correct, for some reason 3rd party drives don't/can't make the partition, likely due to some proprietary stuff.

 
I would totally buy COD II & III, I don't mean Black Ops, I mean COD 2 & yes even 3 for $4.99. I don't get why they have such a big issue going less than $9.99. It cannot be ripping up the charts at $9.99 10 years after release.

I think the best way to combat this is for people to not buy them

it's our only voice

a lot of the time we all cave at one time or another and I think holding firm on not caving would eventually let them know

it might not work but it's our only way to productively tell them what we think of their prices

 
Check out the DR4 multiplayer, there's timers there for certain objectives. I get carried away whacking zombies then I realize we should do these things to get the bonus before time runs out. Good times. Maybe you could do the multiplayer part solo, not sure.
 
DR4...hmm, only played 1, and that was after fits and starts. I hated the timer.

Now to decide if I go return my second copy of FH3 for it or what.

Looking at Watchdogs 2, however I have not beat the first one. Is it pivotal for me to play 1 first to know what's going on or can I get the basics from 2?
Don't want to restart 1 on the Xbox one since I played it on the ps4 before I gave it to my brother.

This is correct. It won't even let me install the game on my external HD.

You don't need to have played the first game to get anything in the second. It's probably better that you don't play the first one before playing 2 since 2 is a step backward in mission design and gameplay.

I gave mine away. I may try to get it back actually, the people that were using it aren't really anymore I think and now have newer consoles.

I'd like to play Halo:CE, Burnout 3, Tony Hawk 3, and Gladius all again.

Burnout 3 is available digitally for the 360, and it plays great. I'm hoping that it becomes BC with XB1, along with Black as well. Both fantastic games!
