Love that game. Even though it gets hate from fans for "ruining" canon (I don't know how), the campaign was so much fun to play.

I downloaded the genki bowl preview but I'm not seeing Cheapy D as a homie in SR3.

BC is dead to me if I can't call Cheapy D.

Edit: False Alarm. Preview Pack one didn't install right. Had to re-download it then restart SR3.

BC is alive and well.

NBA Live 18 is excellent. The most fun I've had with a bball video game since Double Dribble on NES.

(As previously mentioned, the $40 price point is over for now. Was preorders only. Back up to $60.)

I'm sure it will be back at $40 for Black Friday tho.

You'll have to install download it by using one of the discs, probably the DLC one, but you'll have to keep that disc in to play.

He does seem to ignore the fact that the backlash against the saccharine family sitcom was already underway, it wasn't something the Simpsons began. By the time the Simpsons premiered, Married with Children was in its fourth season and Roseanne was in its second. Some of the early opposition of the Simpsons, like Bush Sr's, may not have occurred if it was a live action show. A lot of Americans have the impression that animation == for kids and incorrectly judged the Simpsons through that lens. A stigma gaming also shared for a while, until the kids that grew up with it kept playing.

The show still has an occasional good episode (glimpses into the future, A Totally Fun Thing That Bart Will Never Do Again), and even in otherwise generally forgettable episodes there's sometimes a brilliant moment or two.

I'll keep watching, unless something else airs against it I'd sooner watch. I still watch Family Guy, too, but it gets DVR'ed when up against new Walking Dead or HBO shows. If it can keep providing an over the top / inappropriate laugh or two an episode and a decent "Road to ..." episode each season, I'll keep tuning in.

Myrrah's coming to Gears 4 starting today. Of course, it'll cost 2000 gold or $5 I think it is for a chance to collect her in the "Queen Myrrah Emergence Pack". At least we're getting a double XP weekend to reduce the grind.

I just started playing gears online to try to knock out some achievements, do I get the same experience from doing social quickplay as waiting in lobbies?

Depends what level you are. I'm level 86 (re-up 2), don't know if I'll be able to re-up again this weekend for the 500 credits at levels 5 / 10 / 15 / 20. Just spent 8k credits for 4 packs (20 cards), no characters, 9 Myrrah weapons, the Myrrah emblem, some other weapons and some duplicates. Will read through the drop rate threads on the Gears forums later.

Pretty sure core and competitive get more than social. Though unlocking the Ranked and Filed achievement will require you to play 5 matches in each game type in core and competitive. Hopefully you didn't start earlier in the week before the new MP season started when they reset the rank in all the game types and you'd need to start back at 0 in all of them.

I'm level 53 also re-up 2 but I only have like 300 coins. Oh well, I'm grinding that shit throughout the weekend since Myrrah was my main Locust MP character in Gears 3.

But still a bit of a knife twist at the end, since he bought 3 of them in the last run and got Myrrah in the first pack, effectively wasting 2 packs.

I've got a lot of credit bounty cards, including 20 core victory ones, so I could also get ranks toward the new season. I've been playing a daily co-op vs. AI match for the daily win bonus, but haven't played a real Vs. match in quite a while. My pings were in the 50s and 60s in the co-op matches, though in the 30s and 40s to East US in the game menus. Curious what it will be in actual Vs.

They made no mention whatsoever of her being craftable down the road, so chances are slim to none. When a new character's craftable, they announce it as such. Tai, Dizzy, Civilian Anya, they're all there ready to be crafted. RAAM on the other hand, no.

She will be craftable when The Coalition starts running low on salt.  As will all the other characters / skins people have spent untold amounts of money and credits on.  Though, given the feedback for how they're currently handling the game, they may not run low for a LONG time.

I'll keep watching, unless something else airs against it I'd sooner watch. I still watch Family Guy, too, but it gets DVR'ed when up against new Walking Dead or HBO shows. If it can keep providing an over the top / inappropriate laugh or two an episode and a decent "Road to ..." episode each season, I'll keep tuning in.

Very true, the anti-sitcom was alive and well when The Simpsons debuted, but it stood out because of the medium. However, the thing that really set it apart was the focus on Bart and his misbehavior. Parent groups and politicians were worried about Bart being a bad influence on children, and Matt Groening responded to the criticism perfectly, saying that the show's message was really simple: bad kids need to be loved, too.

The main problem is the show went from being edgy and culturally relevant to just being wacky. As the video's narrator states at the beginning, it's become just another sitcom, the type of show it was originally conceived to be in opposition to. Which is fine if you just want to turn your brain off and watch some silly cartoons, but it's a shadow of its former self.

I played both to death, and they are essentially the same game except 4 is way sillier (if that's even possible) and has aliens and super powers! If you thought SR 3 didn't take itself seriously, SR 4 ups the ante. Both are fun but I have to admit SR 4 is one of my all time favorite guilty pleasures. Just so much ridiculous, retarded fun. It's hard to go back to driving a boring car when you can leap across a few city blocks in one jump.

I too played both SR3 and SR4.  I didn't get the hate for SR4 it is fun.  The super powers are a bit over the top though so if you like driving a bit more play SR3.  Otherwise play SR4.  

Gat out of Hell is a lot of fun too especially if you have a co op partner to play it with.

 
I don't think people hated SR4 that much really. Sure, there is always someone who prefers good ol' GTA-clone Saints Row so he/she can complain about SR being a GTA clone. Because that's how it works.

Well I'm actually happy with a bc title for once! SR3...about damn time. Just bought the season pass too. $5 isn't a bad deal for it. Now if they'll do SR & SR2 I'll be a really happy camper.

SR4 is fun, and totally worth it just to run around wearing black leather assless chaps and launching people skyward with the giant dildo weapon. My only hate on it was it's almost all in a matrix type simulation. Other than that it's great fun.
 
Updated Groove app on phone and it won't let me sign in. I did create a new account just for Groove and the free codes. Did they shut that down? I'll try signing in again later.

Edit: never mind worked again. Just had to log in and activate that email and verify stuff. Looks like I'm still good till 2020.

ETA:  Holy shit 10 mins after I posted this some one joined my co-op campaign and stuck around for 3 races.  Actually a bunch of people did.

Another CAG also offered to help just a bit ago.  

So I got this and the jump done.

But will help anyone else who still needs it.  Just PM me here I guess.

I know that question wasn't directed at me but I thought I'd offer my input anyway. It's not terrible, but the more you play it, the more you realize how copy/paste the game is. It's very, very repetitive. The SR games had their copy/paste moments too, but this is meant to be a grindy game with RPG elements, so it's not a good mix. And there's no co-op to help make the 150th Legion Lair you have to raid (with a slightly different layout) any more interesting.

Great game!! Cool day/night dynamic changes. If you like zombie games, you'll like it. It's a million times better than Dead Island :) It's also on sale tomorrow at Gamestop for $20
