I think we agree having 7 different S SKUs has little to no effect on XBox One X sales. Different people buying each.

MS needs to convince those looking at a PS Pro that the X is worth the $100 premium. Assuming they even have any in stock over the next 2-3 months anyway.

I would argue you pointed out why someone would be grabbing the Xbox One X. They're a parent, have disposable income to afford the 4KTV/sound system entertainment system setup. One who's looking to get the best for what they already have or what they're going to upgrade to for their family. Minecraft for the kids, Gears 4 for dad lol.

Ultimately choice is good, in the end I believe everyone wins. More people will buy what they want, more consoles will sell. Phil is doing a great job at the helm. Now if they can only market a solution to the perceived 1st party problem, then I think they'll be golden.

I’m still on the fence on whether I should cancel my X preorder. I really can’t afford it and my wife would kill me (she’s not even aware I preordered it).

But dammit, I want it and spread out over 12 payments wouldn’t be so bad....rationalization at it’s best.

Get out of trouble by spending some more money - at the jewelry store.

Wasn't planning to get an X, but 2 weekends back I assisted with the company's DB upgrade. Stayed overnight at the office from Friday into Saturday, then on call all weekend. Found out the company will be giving a $1,000 bonus for that weekend in my next paycheck, which should end up being $400-$500 after the various deductions. Could be the majority of an X, could be a Mario Odyssey Switch bundle, could be some other frivolous purchase.

I’m glad I held out on using my Game Pass trial if most people are getting Transformers. I’ve been holding out for when there’s a game in it that I don’t own and actually want to play.

Oh I saw Marvel vs Capcom Infinite is no longer on the XBox X list of games for enhancements.

Rumor on GAF is that The Evil Within 2 is no longer supported on PS4 Pro/X as well despite being mentioned on the site.

By being supported I mean 4k enhancements and HDR as usual. Games will always still look better and have frame rates close to being locked and better load times.

 
Any Mr. Robot fans here? Didn’t think last season was as good as the first but am hearing this one is the best yet. Anxious for tonight’s premiere!

Ejected, what ended up happening with those preorder games? They still accessible? I have TFBW and Origins preordered and want to know if I can count on playing them when I get home 😃

Also, can someone help me understand how Xbox Insider works? I'm in the Beta ring, and have been for almost a month. I am REALLY looking for the uipdate which allows me to "Select All" and move an entire external Hard Drive's content from one to another, as I got an 8tb to replace my 3tb in preparation for my X1X. I check every day to see if any updates were pushed through to me, and I keep hearing of all these new features for insider members, like downloading 4k assets in preparation for 11/7, but nothing ever shows up. If I go to update history in settings, it shows that the console is checking for updates every night, but hasn't been updated since early September. Any insights?
 
^So none of my friends are able to access their pre-order games but my buddy whom I gameshare with was able to play South Park TFBW but nothing else. After hard resetting my console South Park TFBW is the only game I can play that still hasn't been released yet, all the other games say pre-ordered again. I can't stream South Park and all clips I've made don't auto upload to xbox live. I'm on the fence about uploading them online. I have about 40 or so random clips of the game full of funny moments and battle mechanics. I'm only about 3 hours into the story so far though. It's really good! Better than the original battle wise in my opinion. No rob schneider jokes so far but one can hope!

I haven't used up my trial yet, either, though I'd probably play Mad Max and Shantae. Was thinking about DR3, but it looks like I already bought it ... last holiday. Viva la backlog!

I'm at Re-Up 2, L96. Might be able to hit Re-Up 3 and get the credit bonuses for L5/10/15/20 for the Golden Gear packs. Spent credits on 4 packs, got the emblem, Lancer, Longshot, 3 Markzas, 2 Overkills and some bounties. Hopefully other countries follow China's lead (a bit of an odd thing to say) and force devs / publishers to make loot box odds public.

There's another Gears 4 eSports stream tonight. Don't know if there'll be any skins to redeem.

Kinda felt like Season 1 was the show, Season 2 was writers trying to figure out how to be edgy and M Night like shit, pad the thing for another season. I liked the characters, actors, premise, cinematography but after the child-like tantrum the producer had with Trump over twitter I'll pass. If I hear that S3 is any good I might watch it later but atm I can live without it (and I really liked S1).

Edit: Wow, just had my Design Labs controller not turn on for me and after a bit of troubleshooting I've come to the conclusion that it was the contacts in the battery department. The eneloops didn't have full contact and after using a needle nose plyer and turning the metal contacts up a bit the controller turned on. Not pleased, I haven't had this controller for half a year yet.

That Xbox One Starter Bundle would be good for me (after all, it has Mega Man on the box :razz: ).

Makes me more excited to see what the November and December Games with Gold lineups will offer.

If one of the games is Gears of War 4 or Quantum Break, then I'm finally buying this thing.

I just hit Re-up 6 tonight and now on my way to 7 (which will take a while). Got the Golden gear after the 14th pack or something...alos buying some biker marcus packs..really want the classic marcus...have everything from the pack except classic marcus lol...(as for the golden gear pack it's quite annoying that 1 of the 3 cards is always a useless bounty...got no epic weapon skin from the packages yet but i stopped buying after getting the golden gear). I also rebuilt some credit (around 15.000) and really tying to save them to mostly spend them on horde packs since everyhting else ist just cosmetics...but horde skills will net achievements...

As for the stream no skins tonight..onyl supporter pack raffles as far as I see..

I don't wanna give away too much, but you should be stoked. I just got my first summon. Seems there is only 4 summons in the game :( The first one is Moses. I'm hoping they are all religious leaders! I'll try and add more pics later. Sorry for poor quality. I'm taking the pics with my kindle since I refuse to buy a smart phone. :whistle2:

Edit: Added two more pics. One of Summons and one of "challenges" that unlock Titles(eventually?) and give xp.

Hahaha, so I finally decided to get back into Gears 4 but more importantly start multiplayer. Went from Level 1 to Level 11 in about a few hours (had a break for dinner logically). Cool to see some of the older maps because that's when I knew where to go and shit. Tried out the Golden Gun Special Event and took someone, who was next to their teammate too, out via melee as I waited for my pistol to reload lol. My ping was around 133 so maybe that helped in my "hand to hand" combat flailing sequence haha. I used to play Gears online a lot in the past. Boy, I miss it, and thankfully the game autoupdated itself before Verizon decided to pull the plug on my unlimited hotspot yada yada plan.

Played some more Q.U.B.E. after work and finished Chapter 5. It's not very often a game makes me say out loud "that was so fucking cool," but this one is on that short list.

There are 7 levels, each with a series of puzzle rooms to solve (in this way, it follows the Portal formula shamelessly). Each section introduces new mechanics and focus on them. Section 5 changes up the aesthetic and the lighting scheme alone makes it feel like a totally fresh experience. There are also some hidden puzzles that will make you rip your hair our.

It's short, but it's quality over quantity. For $2.50, I can't recommend it enough.

Just saw this article on reddit about the copy and paste of hard drives. Or the "transfer" option, as they like to call it. It's item #2 on the update list. I don't know when it's coming to your update ring though..... hope this info helps either way.

Was Watch Dogs 2 that good that it hasn't seen the rapid price decrease the 1st one had? I feel like at this point in the 1st games lifecycle it had already hit $15 on sale digitally.

It’s so good that I played for like an hour and it has a permanent spot in my backlog.

Seriously though, what I did play was much improved from the first game. I need to get back to it one of these days. I’ll probably have to replay the first hour again to know what the hell I’m doing again but....

...that’s the life of having a CAG backlog for me.

What time do the Free Play Weekends usually begin?

I think I want to download Wildlands to give it a whirl; its FPW starts on "October 12th."  I'm sure that's a big download, so if I can queue it up at 12:01am Eastern (9pm Pacific here!) that be nice for tomorrow.

Still haven’t played Watch a Dogs 1. The gold version of WD2 is sitting in backlog courtesy of Target having a sale and me finding the gold version in store for like $25. Sold the disc and I think it cost me $5 or something to hav the gold version digitally.


Playing the hell out of Shadow of War. It’s really, really good. Not a vast change over the first one, but that’s not a bad thing, since the first one was one of the best games of this console generation.
 
The thing about WD2, I thiink, was that intro mission really hooked me and I could clearly see how much better it was than the first game. But then when it got back into the open world, I somehow lost interest again. But I will get back to it...eventually...because I know it is a good game.

TDLR; Coming out by the end of the year still. XBox X has some "interesting" features with original XBox BC. But he doesn't say what.

Also probably already mentioned but I forget if it was or not that PUBG is going to be out this holiday still. So I'd imagine sometime by the end of next month or near XMas worst case scenario.

I've been meaning to watch that show. I watched one episode. So behind on other shows that I've been watching. When I get caught up on other shows I'll make sure to watch it.
