Please don't spoil things. There's no reason to bring up the ending of Slaughterhouse-Five, who cares that it's 50 years old. People don't have a right to not get spoiled, but that doesn't give you the right to be a dick about it.

All this talk about spoilers makes me want to write the following:


Because it's just like

when there were 1-900 joke lines that cost $0.99 per minute. So somebody made a joke line where people called in and it said the joke was on you. But that wasn't the funny part. The funny pay was ... millions of people called making the originator a milionaire. Or the whole thing is an urban legend. Or a fable. If it was written Aesop.

And then everybody keeps talking about GoW and I just keep thinking

I have an entire list of games that sold be at the forefront of my backlog that I never seem to get to:

1) GoW 1 - 3, Judgement, 4
2) The Bioshock Collection
3) ME 1 - 3 & Andromeda
4) Forza Everything
5) Halo Anything

I must be the worst xbox gamer ever with respect to prioritizing my backlog. In my defense I've just acquired 1, 2, 3, and parts of 4 & 5 in the last 6 months.

So here's to hoping the MCC goes on sale amongst other things in the upcoming sale.

Otherwise I'll just have to find some dicounted xbox credit.

We do have spoiler tags, I think we should us them even is something is older. It only adds one click. It's like when we were discussing KotOR a couple months ago, even though the game is old it was recently brought back up in a format that brought in new players. I think the same could be said for GWG games or stuff added to Game Pass or EA Access.

Anyways, looking at my stats a bit further, I think some of their genres are borked. It says my third most played genre was RPG with only 90 hours, which was pretty much only my Mass Effect Andromeda time. I played a decent amount of Fallout 4, as well as Skyrim, Dragon Age Origins, New Vegas, Nier, Witcher 3, and Divinity Original Sin. I'd guess between all of those I should have at least 200 hours of RPG this year.

I think for our purposes, you can easily discuss the plot without having to describe the ending. "The ending was a bit of a letdown compared to what was built up." "The ending had this insane twist I never saw coming, and it really ties the story together." Those don't spoil what happened, but do allow you to express your opinion of it.

For the most part, reviews in this thread center around new releases and games currently on sale. Both of those should be kept spoiler free, or within tags if you think it's that vital to understanding why you did/did not like it.

Spoilers about one of the biggest movies of the year less than a week after it debuted? GTFO.

I feel like some of you don't realize some of us didn't have the hardware to play some of these games until recently. I sure as hell don't want to be spoiled on any game I haven't played on the One yet. I've had my One X since launch, do you really think I've beat even a handful of games yet? No. In fact, I've beat one whole game, Gone Home. So I'd appreciate if this thread had a lack of spoilers. The only other game I beat this gen was on PC, Fallout 4. I haven't even finished the Brotherhood story yet, so I still don't want to see spoilers for Fallout 4 either.

Story of my life... I have a ton of great games to finish or start. Yet here I am playing Destiny, random battle arena shooter and racing game on PC.

Zelda and Mario on Switch? Horizon Dawn on PS4? And lol, Gears of War 4 on Xbox? Hey what about some Oculus Rift time? Nah I'll just grind for engrams.

Exactly. Why in the world was it easier for me to get thru TA'S 12 Days of Christmas than it is 100% 1 single game?

Can you play STO on xb1? I've played it on PC but haven't see it on xbox.

Nope. Nothing transfers over. It's like a new game for each platform.

Also Lifetime does not give you Zen allowances like it does for PC

Yup I got sucked in (Again) into Destiny. Picked it up a couple of weeks ago. Figured I would play through the story, mess around a bit online for a couple of weeks and trade it. On the second or third day I had friends joining my game randomly and playing with me for hours. I had to buy the DLC and have two characters up over 310 (on PS4).

Prior to that I had some game I really wanted to get around to and picked up another. I picked up the DLC for Horizon Zero Dawn and really haven't started it. Other then an 2 hours or so for Forzathons it is all I have played. Maybe overall I will save some money.

Why do I keep playing D2 even though I want to move on?

And now I can grind to get some of the gear I couldn't get the RNG to drop. Dammit now I'll never leave.

Been happening a lot to me in 2017. Mainly due to the lack of new games that interest me on the Xbox. Every year since I started gaming, I've bought maybe somewhere around 10+ new games (AAA titles) per year. This year, I only bought 2. Aside from playing the regular multiplayer games with friends (Rocket League, Rainbow Six, GTA, etc.), most of my time has been spent on my GwG backlog.

The sad thing is, I don't see this changing in 2018. I have RDR2 preordered. I'm interested in Darksiders 3 because I loved the other 2. Aside from those two, the only other game on my radar is Anthem, and that's assuming they don't screw it up with microtransactions and that it still releases in 2018.

starting to happen to me too. I have a bunch of games like The Witcher 3, Dying Light, Fallout 4, Mad Max, etc that I have yet to start. And every time I think about starting them up, I pull back when I think about the time commitment needed to fully complete them. I have an addictive personality and I know if I start up TW3, I'll be totally hooked and it'll be hard for me to pull away for a couple weeks. I'm in a bad spot right now when it comes to gaming. I don't think I'm gonna buy anything new next year aside from Crackdown 3 and Sea Of Thieves. Just try to finish what I have and start anew.

OOS everywhere near me. I wouldn't have minded a spare S for $75. I'd leave it at my parent's house so I can mooch their bandwidth when I need to download games.

All with GCU, Forza 7 is $27.99, Mafia 3 is $7.99 and Rainbow Six Siege Gold Year 2 Editon is $23.99 (pretty sure this is the cheapest for this version). LA Noire is also on sale for the first time at $23.99 with GCU. Think there are some others that best BF as well.

Need to do some price matches if it’s not too big of a pain in the ass.
 
If anyone has not played Mafia 3 yet, this price is criminally awesome. I paid full whack for that game, and loved every minute. It's a bit of a slow burn, but well worth it.

On a similar note, I spotted it going for $15 in Target today.

Yeah $27.99 for FM7, damn that's a good price. It's a great game, high end racing with top of the line graphics/physics to boot.
