Mad as hell that I bought South Park for $40.19 last month and now the gold edition is only $5 more, plus this sale is pretty bad and I was expecting Marvel Puzzle Quest for the sake amount as on PSN and it doesn’t go on sale at all.
 
For those who got the code already, how long did the order take to process? Still waiting on mine, been about a half hour.

I'm in the same boat with the same game. I'm actually still trying to get my hands on a cheap ($15 or less) copy of Horizon 2 since I loved the first. I think I will hold though cuz it'll be longer for me than it will be for you.

Personally, I think you can hold off a year or so is what you're working with. It's a marquee game in the MS lineup so it should see a couple sales per year. At the very least, during the big summer and black Friday sales. That's just my guess. Only Bloomy knows the real answer.

Edith Finch is a good game.. just short and by short, I mean it.. I played it over the summer on my PS4, 100% complete in just over 1hr 50mins ( and I thought I was taking my time too). The sound in the game is very well done too, atmospheric yet soothing. The ending is strange.

If you've held off this long on FH2, you may as well wait until Sept or so when it will probably continue the Forza pattern of going GwG before delisting when the car licenses expire.

 
FYI, for anyone confused about the Destiny 2 Bundle deal at www.gamestop.com, this is what you should receive (unless someone else confirms otherwise):

  • Destiny 2 physical game
  • Emailed code for $35 in Xbox currency
  • Nothing else (GameStop doesn't have codes for Destiny 1/2 DLC and only gives codes for currency to buy the DLC (which $35 doesn't cover it if you have to pay tax on the Xbox Store))

This should contain a code for the PC version of the (Gold Edition?) game in the Windows 10 Store, which should work on Xbox One as the title is a Play Anywhere title. For $300 this was not worth it, but for $130 it was insta-buy for me.

 
I previously bought the D2 expansion pass from Gamestop (prior to this current deal). I can confirm when you put the code in to the Xbox store you will receive dollar value credit including tax (which is exactly what i paid for it). You can use it to buy the expansion pass. You can use it for something else.

Based on what I was told at the time of purchase this is generally true when you buy XBL content via this method. Usually I don't because it's not worth it. Based on what others are saying that seems to be true for then also.

So essentially what you'll get is a copy of the game and a code for $32. But when enter the code to redeem it the cost of the expansion (+ tax if any ) will be credited to your XBL account. From there you can do what you want.

I grabbed Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass already, think I might grab Steamworld Dig, Lego Ninjago Movie Game, and Witcher 3: Wild Hunt since I'm getting an Xbox One X for Christmas and that has the upgraded graphics.

Bethesda stuff is all increased, I was thinking of grabbing Doom when it was $15 during the game awards but figured I'd grab it during the winter sale, but now its $20, oh well.

 
Went ahead and got the Destiny 2 deal at GS. $40 shipped with $35 in MS credit works for me! Started the campaign using a free Redbox rental, so I can at least finish that.
 
Can't decide if I should get fall of cybertron before it goes away, got devastation. Own fall on 360 but haven't played it yet. Is the X1 version much better?

Also contemplating upgrading Destiny 2 to digital with the expansion pass but don't know if I'd play it much. Anyone that has played the new dlc think it's a decent amount of content for someone that usually plays solo and not at max power level?

Not really, the new DLC CoO story portion can be beaten in 2-3 hours. Adventures and weapon quests add more content. The best part about it is the raid lair which for me is worth the price of admission. That said, the GS deal is a no brainer for anyone remotely interested in the game and season pass.

Thanks. I've basically only played iron banner since finishing the story. I think I was around 275 power level. If the raid lair is the best part I'll have to think on it a little longer, I haven't done the raid and don't really feel like dealing with a website to find a group.
 
bought everspace, astroneer (betting on it costing more later when its ever finished), wd2 season pass...

and forza 6 on cd keys @16$ because the porsche expansion is waiting ;)

The base game is a disc they ship you later right? I have Destiny 2 on PS4 with the first DLC. I wouldn't mind switching to digital and getting the 2nd DLC for $35. Trading in my disc for $14.30. Still might be worth it to get the 2nd DLC

ETA: Wouldn't save me too much. $41.07 with tax and shipping. Trade my copy for $14.30 (assuming it holds this value long enough for me to get my delivery). $35 of credit (assuming they do the same on PS4) for $26.77. Not worth the hassle for $8 and change. If it was in store for this price maybe.

Good deal for those who haven't bought it at all though.

Has anyone successfully received Minecraft Better Together by playing the original version for 5+ hours? I’ve played more than 6 hours and Better Together is still showing full price.

Yeah, I'm amazed how far NetherRealm was able to step it up with Injustice 2. Visually I think it blows everything else in the genre out of the water. It's especially impressive because of how wonky they've know to have their women looking in the past few games, and even how bad characters looked in a early videos for this game.

As far as visuals, I think a lot of fighters are really doing great overall (Tekken 7, Street Fighter V, Dragonball FighterZ), it's just Capcom with MvC: Infinite that really dropped the ball, and the story compared to IJ2 is a joke.

Trying to decide if I should pick it back up now that the Ultimate version is $45. I like the gameplay but I think I'd hard drop it when Soul Calibur VI gets here.

 
It's good to see PUBG getting these rapid-fire patches. Sounds like they aren't just working on making the game not run like shit too. Weapon recoil lowered on all weapons for console is probably a big help, it's just so hard to correct on a controller, and acknowledgement of the "car meta" sounds good to me. Most Top 10's I've made it to have been a Mad Max scenario, with a bunch of cars circling each other as it's hard to kill someone in one before getting splattered.

They said more patches planned during the holidays too, does anyone know if Korea celebrates Christmas?

I'll continue thinking about it for some time. Hard to justify 13 bux on a two hour experience, no matter how good it is.

I have 15 Bing dollars burning a hole in my pocket, but I should probably just save it for next year.

I know I"m buying Monster Hunter: World on day 1 (digital so I can gameshare with my brother).

I'm also going to need to put out for season passes for South Park, Assassins Creed Origins, second season of FFXV...

Evil Within 2 doesn't have a season pass, but I assume it'll get some DLC. They all do.

Which is fine. I'm in the camp that actually mostly enjoys DLC. If I like a game, I dont mind plopping down another 20 or 25 bux for more content.

Haven’t started Edith Finch, but anxious to check it out. Technically, per Metacritic, it was the best reviewed Xbox One release of the year.

Observer is amazing, disturbing and you’ll be saying “WTF?” a lot if you play it. Starts out slow but get to that first sequence entering the mind of a person and...holy shit... (not a spoiler since the namesake is for the fact that you can “observe” the lives of others by connecting to an implant).
