The code that comes with the Gold version of the game redeems as the whole game + the Gold content, instead of just the Gold content.

100% agreed. Live 16 was really good. I tried to convince my cousin to play it but he's too stuck on 2Ks dick to give it a shot. 2K has sucked ass for a few years now.
 
frst time in a while where Ive owned all the Backward compatible games in a BC  update.  i hope with Arkham Origns being brought on the lit that the other Arkham games come soon. 

 
I was sad to read that Telltale considers Tales from the Borderlands a commercial failure.  It is my favorite of the Telltale games and it sounds like getting a season 2 is most likely not happening.

Yeah, reading that broke my heart. I got that game on everything it was released on. I can't believe that it sold so poorly. It was in my top 10 the year it came out. Thinking that it won't get a sequel just makes me feel like there's no justice in the world.

I agree. It was easily my favorite tell tale game by far.
 
Telltale hasn't specifically ruled it out, but looking back at these quotes now with the new context makes it sound even more unlikely, like TT knows they aren't getting the chance (or don't actually want) to write these characters again.

 "While there are currently no plans for us to continue the story on the Telltale side, we do know that our friends at Gearbox and 2K are hard at work on what's next for the Borderlands universe. We know that also means if anything happens Rhys, Fiona and the gang... the ball is in their [Gearbox's] court to see whether they will or will not be explored again in any possible future entry into that universe."

I was actually hoping for an Arkham Origins remaster. It was the best out of the original 3 IMO. I have yet to play Arkham Knight.

All they need to add to the BC list for me is -

I agree. In my mind it has to be made BC. The other AC games have slowly trickled into the program so I'm hoping this does the same sooner rather than later.

Speaking of charging up controllers, I ran into an odd situation. The battery from the Charge and Play kit became bad and I grabbed compatible batteries from a 3rd party through Amazon. They work but they don't have any notification that the battery is about to be too low to function so all of a sudden my controller just stops and usually it throws me into a dangerous situation lol. I plug my controller in over night and that usually does the trick but a few days ago I forgot to do that and all of a sudden in OT in RL my car just stops!

Edit: I'm using the controller I got from Design Labs, hmm I wonder if that has to do with it?!

My advice is to skip those battery packs and just use Eneloops. They're 2000mah each (yours are only 1200mah each) and they hold a charge very well, and can be recharged up to 1800 times. They last a long time in the XBox One controller and are easy to recharge, especially with one of the better chargers out there like the La Crosse Technology ones.

I love my Eneloops and use them in everything, they have great battery life, even after ~2 years of use it seems like they last as long as a new duracel/energizer on a full charge. I just have the Eneloop charger as well which has served my needs (don't know how it stands up to the La Crosse Tech ones).

^ Truth. My eneloops are going on 3+ years strong and I've charged them countless times. I usually charge them once every week or two depending on how much I play. What I do is I charge 4 at a time that way I never run out of juice.

I just played with my friend in 2v2 and 4v4 matches. TBH it is quite fun but I can see myself getting bored of it compared to say Rocket League.

There are still some nagging issues

- When one person disconnects theres a chance of the server kicking everyone out. WTF? Why did they do this open weekend BEFORE fixing the servers?

- If we failed to find a game the group would get split up. Sometimes after the end of matches we got split up. Quite easy to rejoin but annoying.

- It's rather dishonorable to 2v1 and 3v1 people but that's what happens once one person dies and it just rolls downhill from there.

- Some character skills seem OP. This guy had some sort of ability where he got on fire and just wrecked everyone.

- Looks like pay to win of sorts when you can buy high chances of unlocking rare items. Though it's supposed to trade off to an extent.

To me the biggest problem were the server issues. There's going to be a 4k Patch and dedicated servers in November. I rather give the game another go in November to see if the kinks are worked out. If the game was $20 I'd probably buy it in hopes the fixes in November would make things good, but right now I don't think I'm gonna bite.

for anyone still in Leapfrog Killer Instinct is definietly the way to go, can boost the non ranked achievements with a friend and a ton of them have really high ratios.

Some mod banned a bunch of people overnight over questionable reasons, including big contributors like Blackbeard who makes a bunch of GS focused spreadsheets and is basically the lead GS deal guy. Looks like the bans have already been reversed, but it looks pretty bad to long time CAGs that the mod decided to do this.

The three main DLC are all single-player story content, and add background for what happens both before, and after, the main storyline. I think each runs about 2hrs or so (depending on whether you blaze through it, or go for the achievements as well.) The DLC content does add 450GS if that's something you are interested in.

I enjoyed the game and also the DLC content but ymmv.

 
Saw that they are supposedly streamlining the Xbox preview program to make it easier for anyone to join.

Still have the outstanding question of what happened with the whole self-service refund thing. I still don’t have it and didn’t know if they pulled it.

Yeah I grabbed a 8 pack of Eneloops & the La Crossed Technology BC-700 Alpha Power Battery Charger with Amazon. Threw in a few Blu-rays - Ender's Game ($5) & The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ($10) - to take advantage of free shipping since I don't have Prime. Thanks for the recommendation.

I've found this to be the case often when I buy or rent a cheap movie. I've learned to only spend money on stuff I'm extremely interested in.

By the way, The Founder is pretty good if you enjoy those sort of movies - especially for free on Netflix.

Good investment, you won't regret it, likely to save you hundreds in battery costs as well.

Free Fire is the most recent on the list, but I had higher expectations for it and it wasn’t so hot (rented it a few weeks ago). The others, I agree, are probably getting close to the point of being on premium channels and/or Netflix.
