Also today, Prey will shift from a demo to a trial on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. That means anyone who wants to test out Prey ahead of a purchase can retain their progress along with any Trophies/Achievements earned during the trial.

Recently, Arkane Studios also released update 1.05, which addresses more than 30 fixes to a range of issues, including the screen-tearing that has affected a portion of the PlayStation audience. Check out the patch notes for a full list of all the fixes in Update 1.05.

Yeah it's actually a fun little bit of Titanfall on the go, sort of marred by the excessive need for loot boxes (they're victory caches in this game). What saves it is the deck building mechanic and the hardpoint gameplay. Here's a video of a game that I did fairly well & it'll give you some sort of perspective on what the game is all about.

Yeah that sucks but I've been hearing it from the Podcast Unlocked guys from some time and they called it. It was a telling sign when they didn't show off the explosive multiplayer at E3 but only the story campaign part. Apparently making a game where you can blow up entire buildings with friends, in real time, was a bit more than they could chew. I think they can pull it off, the tech they've got behind the game is impressive, but in this day and age, a standout big title like this will have to be excellent in order to keep fans of that series and/or not tarnish an unfinished game (cough Mass Effect ANDromeda, cough).

Your backlog (including all those BC Halo titles), and they'll all look better (either true 4K or checkerboard 4K) and run better. Personally, I'm waiting for this to really set my teeth into The Witcher 3, DOOM & others! Here's a list of the Xbox One X enhanced games:

True Mario is a heavy hitter but the thing is the Switch isn't making all your older titles better like the X will do. You'll have optimized frame rates and input fluidity. In-fact with some games like Bomberman it runs worse. It's going to be hard not to pull the trigger on Switch or that Mario game though, it does look good and I like the direction they're finally heading - although didn't anyone hear that people said the game was a bit too easy being able to control almost everything with your hat. I'll prob pick that up next year BF and coast on with the Wii U and X until then.

Was going to buy that Citadel dlc, but with no sign of ME3 being made available to buy digitally I'm passing. Subbing to Acess is a waste of money just to have acess to one game, especially when I already own everything else in there that I'd play.
 
I just requested a $3 Windows Gift Card from Microsoft Rewards and like not even 5 minutes later I checked my email and there it was. Woah, that was fast!

Holy shit, Movie Pass works. I guess E tickets are only available in the Denver and Boston areas, and I'm in the Boston area technically. Gave them my confirmation number and it worked no problem. Seeing The Dark Tower

Sure, you can do that. But seeing a movie in a theater is not the same as waiting several months to watch it at home. You may enjoy or not enjoy the theater experience, but there's no point in comparing it to waiting to watch at home. They're not the same thing.

Sonic 4, Episode 2 will be this week's XBL Rewards Throwback Thursday game. $15 game, $3 in Rewards credits, was on sale for $7.49 a few weeks ago.

I feel like the entire XB1 library has been really lackluster compared to what we saw from the OG Xbox and the 360. Bought an S bundle because it was cheap last year but have been largely unimpressed when I look back at what the previous 2 consoles did and the amount of solid games (both big budget & indie/smaller ones ) the PS4 is cranking out.

 
Just 1000G'd Bayonetta.

I like Platinum games but in order to 100% their games they make you play the same short campaign multiple times. Not a fan of that.

Still, it was a great ride and I'm glad I was able to experience it since I slept on it last gen. Good stuff.

The movie is the same either way, so they're definitely comparable when it comes to cost for me. The majority of times I've gone to see movies in a theater, it cost me $0.50 to see it, so the cheaper price is more important to me than the environment it is in.

Are you sure they credited you the 500 points? I had the same thing, you need to redeem them once it's activated I'm pretty sure.

In all seriousness I am pretty pissed about Crackdown. It was my most anticipated title for the X and I was looking forward to play it day one. However, after reading some of the previews/impressions it seemed like it needed a bit more time in the oven.

Possibly the worst year of xbox exclusives since probably 2012? Mark of the Ninja (console), Forza Horizon, Akai Katana and Halo 4. Sure I'm missing some other games. 2011 was probably light to. But at least back then the 360 was packed with console only titles, and exclusives weren't on PC back then either at least for the most part on first party side.

The good news is I'm probably gonna pick up some games on sale as well as pick up either Cuphead or Sonic Mania depending on Cuphead reviews since I have $60 more to spend this holiday.

Also, even though the game is "free to play," the only way to preorder the game is in a $20 bundle. Lame. Hopefully when it releases there will be a free option.

 
Ok, so yesterday I got the last two achievements in Bayonetta, but they didn't count in my overall gamerscore nor do they show in the Bayonetta achievement list. I'm stuck at 880/1000.

One thing that did happen while I was playing was I got a message saying "disconnected from Xbox Live". I checked the dashboard and it said I was still online. I figured it was nothing and kept playing. I wonder if that has anything to do with this. Anyone experience this too? Really frustrating to spend all those hours on a completion only to be fucked out of it.

While I don't disagree about people already buying still buying, if people really give a shit about best possible format and also have the money to put towards a good 4K/HDR TV, they should just be building or upgrading a PC.

ME3 is usually $5 or less at pretty much any game store.
