It's been a very early morning of calling and texting and finding out if my friends are safe. My buddies wife was supposed to go to the concert but changed her plans last min but her friends still went but all were safe.

I'm impressed at the response, my wife and I wanted to donate blood but the blood banks are so overwhelmed with people donating they are turning people away. People have been coming together to do what they can to help, offering rides, food, and water.

Some of you may mock those that are religious and pray, but as a religious person myself, I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers for our community.

I left Vegas 5 years ago, i lived there for 16 years. Last night hit me like a freight train. I have so many friends and family there still. Happily all are safe. I'm glad to hear you and yours are safe as well.

I believe you missed my point. You think more laws are going to stop a law breaking Criminal from getting illegal guns? Most shootings occur in gun free zones where people are disarmed and make easy targets. Easy to shoot at somebody that can't shoot back.

I'm all for reasonable gun restrictions, but the problem is much deeper than guns. If people want to kill people, they'll do it. If you want to advocate helping reducing domestic violence killings (or other similar issues) by removing guns, that makes more sense, but clearly something like today was planned by someone ready to kill lots of people. My guess is that if he didn't have access to guns, he would have found some other method such as explosives, knives, etc. We already see people in Europe and Asia wielding knives and axes in subways. There are greater societal problems causing these issues in the first place than to just lazily point to guns. The problem is that no one is willing to address those issues because they are too complex and/or would ultimately cause too much sacrifice for what we perceive as a preferred way of life. The FAQ says it is paying back existing users at with already redeemed codes at 120% in MS store credit. Here's hoping we get 3 years worth!

Legit question: why are Americans so opposed to gun control? Statistics show that developed countries with gun control/tighter restrictions have significantly fewer gun-related crimes. 

On topic: fuck Dragon's Dogma! I tried to play it this past weekend but I'm lost and don't know where the next story quest is. Walked around for 30 mins, got killed by a Giant and realized I hadn't saved  :wall:

As of October 2, 2017, you can no longer redeem your Groove Music Pass. Microsoft will offer 120% of the value of your unused pre-paid Groove Music Pass as store credit to spend at the Microsoft Store. If you haven’t redeemed your pass yet and want to get your credit, contact customer support

Politics:

In my experience it's a lot of people really attached to the second amendment about the "right to bare arms" that was written 200 years ago with England and corrupt government in mind. I guess it helped against England at least.

How did you get it so early? It's been a while but I think if you select a quest you have can put a mark on the map that points you where to go.

 
My Dragon’s Dogma that I ordered yesterday from Amazon hasn’t even shipped yet. This is why I never buy video games from those pricks. (Only did it this time because I had a $10 credit)

Everyone go and get every single piece of evidence you have on owning groove music pass. After contacting mucrosoft to request canceling my subscriptuon, they said it was canceled in feb of 2017. Luckily I habe all the orders and codes showing im paid till July 2018. Now i habe to wait to speak with a supervisor when they call me back. The support agent can see that i paid for it, but the silubscription info shows expired and its a whole problem.
Just a want everyone to be prepared.

I'd rather get shot in the face and die than have acid thrown on my face and live the rest of my life as a disfigured shell of who I was. People find ways to hurt each other no matter the tools, like mentioned before if you take away guns other things happen.

I also don't think a lot of people understand how many guns exist in the USA. It's a staggering number, big enough it's hard to comprehend.

It's not really all Americans, but the NRA (National Rifle Association) is a very powerful lobbying organization on the right in the country and the Republican party is afraid of angering them. The NRA supported, and even contributed to, common sense gun control for about the first century of their existence, but had their direction co-oped in the 1970's by some hard liners who viewed any attempt at limiting gun access as a violation of the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution, which states, in its entirety, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." While the courts have ruled that the freedom of speech rights in the First Amendment have limits (yelling "fire" in a crowded theater, threats, child porn, etc.), attempting to define limits on the Second when considering the potential of today's firearms vs. those of ~230 years ago have been met with opposition from lawmakers afraid of losing the NRA's campaign donation money.

Though it is an interesting and funny fact that the gun industry has seen a downturn in sales in the past year due to Trump's election. For years, the NRA beat the drum that Obama would come and take your guns, and that if Hillary was elected, she'd abolish the Second Amendment (something Trump mentioned at a recent rally). But with Trump elected, those fears about losing guns have gone down, people aren't stockpiling as much and the gun industry's revenues are down. Sometimes you lose by winning.

 
I want to participate in these political discussions going on here but I feel like I won't have anything relevant to add.

So I'll say that I really hope Romance of the three kingdoms XIII finally gets a sale and that this thread really, reaaaaallly sold me into buying an xbox one copy of Dragon's Dogma to play through.....for the 5th time.

And I can no longer gift games, the option was up for about 24 hours and now it's gone.

 
You really won't have the rights you like without the 2nd to defend them so to speak.....if you think the folks in DC are benevolent you are deluded.

The original nfl street and nba street vol 2 were the best sports games made in th mid 2000’s. I’d love a reboot of each of those. And while we’re on the subject of EA Big..... MORE SSX NOW DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!

Yes, but if he had never been found to have mental health issues, then such a law would have had no benefit here.

Not to mention that one of the guns he had was illegal anyways. Remember, Heroin is illegal too... look how well that is working.

I don't think an every day American is going to carry around acid. A knife or gun yes. This guy wasn't considered a terrorist so he just used what he knew to use: a gun.

What's going to be interesting is where this guy got some of the weapons he used, he had at least one full auto and you can't touch one of those for less than five figures these days.

All of this would've been lot simpler if the shooter was a muslim - blame the religion and up the rhetoric. May be even shell / bomb few women and children in the middle-east and call it war on terrorism.

fucking caucasians spoiling everything as usual...

Edit: I do not care about the game deals for tonight, any more. People died else where, I'm sure I can live with crappy games for a week or heck even a year.
