Apparently all Xbox Prime games are going to be rendered at a higher resolution! This is on top of the expected higher and/or smooth performance, and faster load times. I just ordered Bloodrayne 2 off of Amazon for $6, hoping it has a case as it was "Very Good" condition.

Some 360 games are getting X updates. At launch Halo 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Assassin’s Creed.
They're getting some form of HDR support and being rendered at much higher resolution. Halo 3 is at 9 times pixel count.

Probably pick up Ninja Gaiden Black at least. It’s one world I wish they’d revisit. Guess there are rumors of a reboot. Hope it comes to fruition (and is good).
 
No Stubbs, Shemue 2, Republic Commando and MK Shaolin Monks is disappointing, but not really surprising at all. Hopefully they go pretty deep into the OG library and we get some of those. Glad I grabbed BLACK recently on ebay and will definitely grab a few of the games on the list digital

This is fucking awesome. It's not quite as nice as the widescreen and graphical updates on the ports of KOTOR, but damn, the textures and resolution look great for an OG game. I say it often but I really love all the time and work they put into BC when it's not an enormous profit necessarily, at least not up front. I have to assume at this point that all this foundational work will be for future compatibility when the Xbox Two or whatever eventually comes out.

Also, HDR and increased res on 360 games for the X1X basically puts them on par with the PS2 classics on PS4, except you don't have to rebuy them if you already own them. That's cool as hell.

Just thought I would add if anybody interested in Grabbed by the Ghoulies, this is also in Rare Reply.

I noticed for the newer listed Xbox games they are only on the Xbox 360 marketplace, why not put them on the Xbox One marketplace?

If this is the way they are doing it, having you to go through the Xbox 360 still that would mean I can't get Ninja Gaiden Black as not available in Australia.

Also, the price of the older Xbox titles on the Xbox 360 store price conversion to Australia is 5 cents difference, but somehow they make the price different for the newly added ones America is still $9.99, but Australia is $14.95.

 
I got too excited and bought some right away before waiting for deals

I doubt they will go on sale though because Microsoft isn't usually very generous with prices and 10 bucks is fairly generous for them

Getting Mario and AC:O, SoW sometime later. The question is, do I wait to play AC:O till i get the X setup, or do I start on my S and move on to X in a couple weeks? [emoji848]

Going to preorder AC: Origins probably tomorrow after I should have a $25 or $30 rewards cert. Didnt realize it’s one of the $10 rewards bonus games too.

The Egyptian setting has me psyched. Gonna look sweet on the X baby!

Red Faction II PS2 on PS4 is $14.99, that's probably why. With an increased resolution like this they should be functionally similar other than missing Achievements. I'd guess this could a trend for games available on the service, though it may also be a good indicator of future additions too.

I had a couple thoughts on BC. First, I wonder if these downloads will come pre-packaged with any DLC a game might have had. Out of the first 13 the only one I know had anything was KotOR. It was a small, free download that added a new vendor that will eventually sell really good stuff. Hopefully they at least include free content like this. I don't think there was a lot of paid stuff back then outside of map packs for multiplayer games.

Second, I'm wonder if it is even remotely feasible to emulate some functioning version of the original Xbox Live. I think this would probably be limited to first-party since they would have to maintain servers, but the 100 friend limitation would be the biggest barrier here. I'd guess the most technically do-able thing would be emulation of the LAN connection that is supported, making it so you can play with friend's through the internet while the consoles think you're just directly plugged into each other. I know this CAN be done as fans have made systems like this for Xbox, PS2, and GameCube.

 
This BC list reminds me how I skipped the OG Xbox. I had a PS2 and GameCube amd didn’t feel I was missing anything. I think KOTOR and Morrowind were the only games that I look back on and think “wish I could’ve played that”

I do have some good memories of playing PGR2 when I worked for GameCrazy way back when. My coworkers and I especially liked that Elliot In The Morning was one of the radio DJs for the DC circuits. But I know a racing game like that won’t make a comeback due to licensing.

Master ninja difficulty?! Jeez you must be a masochist. I remember raging over that fight on just normal difficulty. Although I knew better than to throw that huge “duke” controller. Would have put a hole in the drywall.

It seems that brute force LAN system I mentioned was intentionally borked by Microsoft on the 360, so I guess using an external source might be out of the question, though I didn't even think that it could work outside of the original hardware.

Question for anyone who bought Fractured But Whole physically. My plan was to get the XB1 version of Stick of Truth and get Fractured But Whole once it goes on sale later on down the line. Some people selling the code here on CAG claim the download slip shows it works for 360 and XB1, while some say the download card doesn't mention XB1 at all. Does anyone know if the code in the physical versions is just a BC 360 code? I'm looking to get the XB1 version to revisit the game and re-earn some achievements before playing FBW.

Did you see the enhancements to the 360 BC titles? They are getting HDR and huge resolution increases as well as filtering (Halo 3, Fallout 3, Oblivion and Assassin's Creed 1). You do need a XBox X to get those enhancements though.

I'm more curious what the enhancements are for the original games on the X. They look way better on the 360, but what about the X?

That is a nice list of games. I can't wait to try this out with Prince of Persia. One of my favorite Xbox games.

The cool thing for me is that I have every single game on disc from the list with the exception being The King of Fighters Neowave, but I may have that game. Just have to dig through my collection. I'm excited to see how many more games they intent to add to OG BC.

Same here. NG II was one of those few games, as a semi completionist, you say screw the completion and just play it normally. Whatever I got, that was it.

My digital copy of Psychonauts will now have image artwork available instead of just generic placeholder artwork!!!

My only request now is for Max Payne 1 & 2 go BC.

 
You can get KOTOR used from amazon for roughly $10. May as well just buy it digitally. Although, I will throw my original :pc: CDs in just to see if those don't work. 

 
Just bought the Bestheda Pinball Collection for the FX2 on the 360..guess what? You can't import tables you bought on the 360 anymore to Pinball FX2 on the One since FX2 and some of it's DLC got delisted on the Xbox One...*sigh*

Can I get a refund at least?

Those X upgrades shouldn't need to be downloaded on our current consoles. Just started the download and it's 13.91 gigs, while actually freeing up about 4 additional gigs. They must have figured out how to improve compression further like that update a few months ago. An increased framerate probably doesn't necessitate much of an increase in file size alone anyways.

I pretty desperately need to get an external soon.
