Think I misread this as being on XBL. Looking at Major Nelson’s post, I think those prices are just on the Microsoft Store. There’s nothing specific on the digital prices other than “up to 65% off”.

That’s a bummer. Was thinking I’d pay the $5 digital tax (seeing that Forza 7 is $35 at BB on BF). :(

*sheepishly raises hand* I read all of the crap, but I'm getting it. I enjoy the gameplay and I even liked the first Battlefront, which seems to put me in the minority. To be honest, I'm not really that concerned about the star cards. I'll use my credits to unlock heroes and go from there.

There are still a number of things I don't like about how they did things, but it's definitely worth a purchase for me, nonetheless.

 
I'm in for SW Battlefront 2 when it hits the under $20 mark. I only want it for space combat, so paying full or near full price isn't worth it. And I absolutely hate loot crates, so def waiting on it.

Im waiting for next month's sale when Episode 8 comes out. I'm sure it'll be $40 with GCU making it $32

 
Decided to use my 14 day trial on GamePass since they are offering a month soon for $1 and I have a free month code from my X1X. It seems fine but I seem to own a lot of the stuff on it.  There are a few smaller games I want to play or get achievements on but as a long time Gold subscriber this is definitely not the subscription for me. I will try to play as much as I can for the next 2.5 months though.

Playstation has more worthwhile deals in one sale than Xbox does in a year. This is coming from someone who owns an Xbox One X/Xbox 360 and PS4 Pro/PS3. Backwards compatibility deals have been about the only positive on Microsoft’s end.

Sadly it's true. Even if half the crap in filler titles, PS at least gives a large selection of games on sale and the flash sales.
 
Well, the big sale is next week, so I'm not that surprised with trash this week.

Most of this article is about withholding Game Informer's review until the actual game is out so they can see the average player experience, but I'd consider putting the brakes on any celebration of the Battlefront 75% drop...

"For instance, during my review, completing the campaign earned players a unique loot crate that contained 20,000 credits. That reward is now 5,000 credits. A big change. What else is different? I need to find out."

Ink looks intriguing, but otherwise a bust. Kind of glad I made my own date night today when I saw Yooka-Laylee on clearance at Target for $9.

So... they reduced the requirement by 75%, but also reduced the payout by 75% too. Sheesh. Where’d they learn how to respond to backlash? The Trump Administration’s tax plan? “Well, you see, you’re paying less in taxes, but we’re cutting all these deductions”. 😡

Also thanks for the link, between that post and his twitter, he says the multiplayer is excellent, lots of fun, and one of the best looking games out there. Weird that you left that out of your post for some reason.

I still want to know if they plan any changes to the star cards. I love having the heroes but imbalance in the rest of the game concerns me more.
 
Well, I still have 7+ hours on my Battlefront 2 trial so I’m going to ride on that and see how things pan out. The force of the Star Wars brand is still hard for me to resist - especially with the space battles.
 
I don't know what to do with battlefront- does not playing it and costing them 1 sale really make a difference? I want to play it but this f2p system is garbage- I would rather have the season pass back

Just don't spend real $ on their in game currency and loot boxes, that's what'll really make a difference, if people finally stop buying those.

I got phat ass pockets so I'm going to grab my preorder tomorrow and go all Jedi till I can't Jedi no more. If it really sucks I'll flip that bitch back at GS during one of the trade bumps and move on. I have a feeling I'm going to have fun with it regardless.....

I put my experiences with my 1X on the Cagcast thread so Cheapy and the gang will get their heads out of their asses about it. Cheapy is such a graphics whore about PCPCPC but seems to not understand why people would be excited about a shit-hot 1X.

Not that my experience will sway but maybe they will take it into account.

I felt the same way when I heard the podcast. His TV must suck because I've noticed an insane difference from my S to my X. I have a Samsung 8000 from last year.
